lol, because you said that, I know you can't. It's the "easy" drum pieces that really separates the bad from the good and the good from the world-class drummers.
Tom Sawyer's 16ths with left hand, right handed drummer, that's pretty good stuff. The behind the head cymbal chokes are really entertaining. Hats off to anyone who masters playing open position like that. Thanks for posting.
It's open handed playing mate. Simon Phillips (Toto) and Ilan Rubin (Nine inch Nails) are the drunners I learnt this style from. Best thing I ever did was to learn to lead Left handed. Above every other drum technique by miles. I couldn't now go back to the constraints of right handed playing.
@Gary White What do you mean he wishes? Both drummers are playing with techniques on the level of a virtuoso. masterful. Get out of here with that divide and conquer attitude. It doesn't belong in the drum community.
@Gary White Go to a drum clinic with the shit attitude you have. No one is going to talk to you because you put people down. You seem to have no idea how to use constructive criticism and you don't know the difference between something that is objective and something that is subjective. Lol.
Arne Dopudja I guarantee Baz makes more money. Dream Theater is very popular for a Prog band but they’re a niche act in the US, Bobby probably just wants consistently good money and I don’t blame him
@@robacdc1977 To correct both of you, according to an interview with him regarding the subject, he had just come off touring and was somewhat burnt out and would have only had 10 days to learn the (very difficult) material. And given there were no guarantees with getting the DT gig, and seeing as he already had regular gigs with a few artists, he opted not too. Maybe he'll someday regret it, but I doubt it. Sometimes the timing just isn't right. Some actors have passed on iconic roles for the very same reason.
Bobby, you are in my opinion the prototype of progrock/modern metal drumming. The stuff you played 15 or 20 years ago, is the most musical way of interpretation to play oddmeter rythms I've ever heard.
Deen, Wow... so good to hear from you! We definitely need to hook up again sometime soon. It's been way too long. Your drumming has always been an inspiration. I'm always listening to everything you've done. Bobby
Bobby a true metal!!! Drummer!!!! From Riot to Halford, iced Earth , demons and wizards, then I went to fates warning concert... Then I was seeing his Giant drum set so I thought that might be Bobby!!!!....
His dexterity is not of this world, nor is his intuition. Knows where those cymbals are and how to execution stops like a Jedi. That his hands and feet are weapons of crash destruction speaks volumes of his mastery. One of the best ever for sure.
he is one of the best drummers of the world.
Finally, I can play something Jarzombek plays
a video or didn't happen :p
lol, because you said that, I know you can't. It's the "easy" drum pieces that really separates the bad from the good and the good from the world-class drummers.
@@Anaximander29A im fairly certain it was a joke because this is comparatively easier than jarz other projects
@@progfox To play it somehow is maybe easier. To play it how it's supposed to sound is a complete different thing.
@@Anaximander29A bro stop being pretentious lmao, its not the hardest song out there no matter how much u want it to be
I appreciate all the respect Neil Peart is getting. He was truly one of the best. R.I.P.
He brought the best out of Alex and Geddy too. Best band in the world.
Bobby the machine!!
One of the best drummers in the world
Mike mangini🤔🤔🤔
@@brilliant_wibowo Do you like the drums on The Astonishing? I guess not :-/
@@musicmanpiezo but I still love bobby jarzombek , he is the drummer unmatched

I got to meet Bobby and he’s just playing with an open handed technique.
Watching him use the cymbals behind never gets old...I would love to see some Spastic Ink songs!
Peppered Cancer video is on youtube
His choking skills are incredible too!
Keep on going with these videos, they're amazing!
Man it is so good to see you man!! Always love seeing something new pop up from you!
Thanks Bobby, Enjoyed every second.

Awesome as always! Bobby, you are the man!
always a pleasure to watch Bobby !!!
Yay Bobby! Hope you're doing well, always a pleasure to see you play
Thanks for the upload my Texas brotha!
awesome bobby!! you are the best!!
The way he plays reminds me a lot of Jonathan Sugar foot Moffit. His style with the crash cymbals behind him pretty cool
@Gary White What do you mean he wishes? Both drummers are playing with techniques on the level of a virtuoso. masterful. Get out of here with that divide and conquer attitude. It doesn't belong in the drum community.

Dude! Amazing. Fantastic job, I'm floored 🤘🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍👍
So effortless and clean. Please upload more! Cheers from Dallas!
7:16 Nice moves muting the cymbals behind.
He's been doing that for decades
Sugarfoot does it also
It’s great style
Awesome chops and love that he grooves with that left hand. Nice kit and what a sound😀
Just too good!! Awesome playing from an awesome drummer!
nice to have a new vid finally. keep em coming.
Respect From Italy Brother 🇮🇹 you are my hero
This is like a Ferrari driving inside a building.
Yeah this hasn't even touched Bobby's skills this is just a paycheck gig.
I concur. Bobby defines "Cool" behind a kit. OK, so I'm Polish, too. Maybe I am a little bias. Heh. He's a beast.
Exactly,very precise.
I mean they did play some of Tom Sawyer.
amjan Eloy Casagrande in Sepultura too..
Love the open hand drumming !!!! Awesome stuff
amazing Bobby!! Like usual \m/
Seen this man live with fates warning...an absolute machine!
Totally badass! Mad skills there. Love it!
Nice Drumming as always Bobby ...best Wishes for 2020!
When called and invited to audition for Dream Theater he was the only invite to say, "Let me think about it."
... and rather play some standard beats to hairmetal instead. What a "think" it was! :D

SpikeFlea I wouldn’t want to be in a band with a Pirate that can’t sing either
@@robacdc1977 Hahahahahaha! Oh that is sooo true. Heh heh heh.
Not bad... That was one hell of a transition, loved every second of it.
Of course it’s not bad cause he is one of the best drummers out there
Coming back to this video after 5 months and I'm gonna change my comment to....Bobby J...Top 5 drummer of all time.
the over the shoulder no-look crash choke is so kino
Bobby, please, share with us more and more drum cam videos! Your drumming is fucking incredible!
BADASS... You are awesome. Human drum machine...
Ua good too see ya post some serious stuff
Fucking awesome! I had no idea you were on youtube. Keep posting please!
He’s like the Jeff Porcaro of extreme metal drummers
that's a very apt comparison.

In awe of cymbal work!
Bobby for president!
Just saw you last night playing with George Strait. Awesome is all I can say.
Bobby has sound screens to contain his awesomeness
Gee, at 64yo, I've seen ALOT of drummers....but I've NEVER seen anybody hit cymbals BEHIND them. Or choke 'em, all without seeing them.
You should check out Jordan Moffet´s videos where he plays to old Michael Jackson songs.
Bobby if you see this bro you’re killing it as usual man!!
Hope our paths cross this year on the road with the Daises!
Been way too long Boss!

Just heard about the new gig with George! Congratulations brother!
Long time no see, like we say in Germany :D
You are very much underrepresented here on UA-cam, in my opinion.
Keep Calm an RLRRLRLL ;-)
Amazing! More videos!
INSANE Footage!!
This is like using a rare thoroughbred horse for kids' pony rides.
So true! Tis guy is the most underrated drummer ever!

When I think about the open-handed gods I must admit I had forgotten about this being. Spastic Ink was one of the first bands that made my jaw drop.
Spectacular!!!!
