Yes, I dated a narcissist and every job she had their was an excuse why she had to quit. but I came to the conclusion that they are lazy and just want to complain and do nothing but torment and blame you.

I leave jobs where I'm working for a narcissist. They seem to like management roles. Generally anywhere with a high turnover of staff will give it away.

Very interesting. I see things happening all the time with this narcissist I know. Deadlines are never ever met, it's always blamed on his team which keeps getting bigger so the jobs get done and still they don't. Doesn't help he's probably messing with two of the girls on his team and having to hide each from eachother and constantly stopping them to have to feed his ego. One of them is his scapegoat a lot of times when he knows he's going to have a walk or inspection. He stays home with some lame excuse and she then has to do the walk and get in trouble for his lack of production or completion of his duties. But it's never his fault. He's never said he could have done this, or should have done that or could have worked harder, it's always someone else's fault and his job is in danger now but he's to arrogant to see it.

  • @stefangebhard7074

Very true! A narcissist believes themselves to be beyond perfection. They believe the empyrean realm to be their footstool. So when it comes to a regular job, the narcissist expects the job to accommodate and orbit around their incessant demands. A narcissist believes themselves to be ‘the boss’ on the first day of work until the last day.
I worked with someone who was demoted from a shift supervisor position before they finally left. It was sad to see them losing ground, becoming less connected to reality and more asinine in their absurd struggle-while acting like they were still the cherry on top of the milkshake. In their own minds, they’re living in a castle built on a cloud. But in reality, they’re facing eviction notices for failing to be stable with their workplace.

The narc was a teacher/ coach . Average time on a job 1.5 years and was fired or forced resignation from every single one. Only reason he lasted that long is teachers union and the power and control from the position.

I have realized that I have been sabotaging myself when it comes to not being able to keep a job. It’s not like me as I have a history of stability. Unfortunately the stability came with a price because even though jobs were in a toxic environment and trying to ignore that took a toll on me regardless. I’m semiretired now and still want to work so I need to come up with a plan. 👍

Omg this is so true. My ex Narc kept quitting his job and one time he saw one nice looking and rich bar manager. And he changed his job straight away to bar boy to become one. But he kept complaining about how others are not good at their job and they are way worse than him and he doesn’t understand why they are at the higher position than him. He started to talk to high position people to get “connections” to go higher but didn’t study and didn’t pass the exam for cocktails. When he met his friends, he sometimes lied that he is an ambassador of the bar and later few months when he couldn’t get the position he wanted, he talked bad about their bar quality and quit that this place doesn’t deserve him😂😂 Now he said he wants to be an actor and he’s jobless asking me for financial support so i left. 😂😂🎉

UNLESS your colleague is a covert narcissist who ran an effective smear campaign behind your back - which your managers and colleagues believe - and they ARE conspiring against you because you’re new and the narcissist has been grooming and manipulating these people for years into adoring him

10000000%. 5 jobs so far this year... If he doesn't get the admiration from bosses he craves, he quits. Or he trys to control everyone and he gets fired. He is good at his job I have the letters and awards to prove it but he doesn't play well with coworkers or bosses. Because he's good he feels entitled to special treatment..

  • @arhafrench5319

Mine quit the first job he got in over 12 yrs to start paying child support when I came back in his life. He in his own words told me he had been showing off throwing full food stuffed boxes on his shoulder and twisted his knee. He was working with a lot of older people and said he wanted to take a week off because he was very much needed and didn't want to go to the dr to get seen and get back at it. Needless to say eventually during that week he decided he would just quit. I honestly think he was wounded that he'd grown overweight from all his self-indulgence and had fallen in front of everybody and gotten laughed at.
