While I find this song beautiful and I love this scene between Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon...I keep wondering what would have happened if "Pauline" would have said "yes" the first time John asked her to go grab a bite to eat. It could have been all over. Remember, he originally went to the dance studio because of her. I like the way the movie turned out but I can't help thinking this dude somehow dodged a bullet. If you want the more realistic version of the story you might want to check out the movie "Unfaithful". Now that was a heartwrenching tale that haunted me for a long time after I left the theater. Richard Gere was excellent in both movies.
