Bromeliads would also be a nice addition. They typically grow on trees and you have the proper humidity and plants that would support their growth. Sick setup man. Love the limb traveling across the middle.
Superb superb superb. Looks like a scene out of Avatar. The one thing to set it off which gets tricky for me is to add as many communal lifes forms that I could safely put in and also that wont create a mess like small small stuff. Spiders, even earthworms and perhaps super tiny lizards. WOW
probably the most beautiful vivs i have ever seen well done mate it looks awesome, thanks aswell for posting how you made it :D im going to try and have a crack at making something similar myself
Wow.. that's incredible.. I guess I figured they would begin to outgrow the tank, though with limited room for roots they must get stunted. Thanks for the reply, looking forward to seeing the next stages of your current project.
That's absolutely gorgeous, but I think if I heard that trinkle all day long, I'd never stop going to the bathroom. The coolest thing is that fog effect. How did you do that!?!?!?
This is insane. I can't get over it. I just don't understand how you planted the plants on the backround. I watched the 'making of' slide show and still don't get it. Very impressed and extremely jealous.
You build, planting & plants was awesome to watch. Only thing more i could have asked for would been to see the installation of the pump, tubes an foggers. Thank you for being able to see the build.... kaye
Wow! This so creative i can't. Wait to start mine & hope i can get close to urs. Do u have any videos on ur build. Would love to see. Thanks for sharing ur creation....
That is amazing. and def in my top five favourites on you tube. what do you use to build up the back ground, and sides. Is that expanding foam safe after say one month, for frogs. I am just starting a large viv and to get anywhere near this would be a feat.
Thanks very much for the reply. I hope you dont mind me basing my tank on yours. I am dumbstruck by its excellence and is such an inspiration. I love the vine draping across. gives it some extra perspective depth, and is so authentic.
could you tell me how did you "seed" the moss on to the felt walls and also- is there any type of substrate where the plants get inserted in the pockets of felt? thanks!
If it only trickled into a 4' deep aquarium filled with fish!...I'm waiting for somebody to do natural, waterfall diorama and plenty of room for fish. One guy has tried..but its not nearly as natural looking as this. So,you are halfway there!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful planetarium .. but im thinking about that my Valid Chameleon will love to live in this palladium ?! because if i try to feed him with Crickets they all will die in 10 min of this weather !!!
How were you able to attach the plants to the walls of your tank?Did you use styrofoam or great stuff?I would love to know because Im starting to build one for my crested gecko.
thank you for the reply! by "foam" you mean the moss? (i know your english is not that strong..and i asked about the moss... :) i saw on your blog (wonderful i may add! ) that you had some moss starting to take hold on the felt ... how did it get there? :)
Sensational! eleven years time and I havent lost one drop of inspiration.
I keep coming back to this year after year because it's the best one on UA-cam it's stunning!

Seriously cool dude.
I work from home in my office all day and I'm going to copy your set-up and have in in there with me as an anti-stress measure.
This viv is so beautiful... You did a fantastic job on it. I'm very jealous.
When I retire, this is going to be my hobby.
Why not now? We aren't guaranteed another day of life, so start living the life you want now :)
Ashley Young I am two years late, but with life and college, I just don’t have the time to do any of this on the side.
