It would be sick if someone could post a really detailed tutorial on how to make something like this. I've seen a few decent ones but they all feel kinda rushed, anyway this is awesome, have a like.
Stunning!!! Exactly what I want mine to look like. If you did a guide I'm sure a lot of people would greatly appreciate it including yours truly. Thanks for sharing!
Oh man, this is perfect! I just bought an Exo Terra 18x18x24 just like this and have been scouring the web for ideas. Your viv is EXACTLY what I envisioned mine to look like! Any possible way you have a tutorial on how you built this, or what all you used? I would love any pointers or material references you used. AWESOME!
Well done! Perfect balance. If you were planning to build a larger one, I suggest having a dry region together with the moist region which can easily be accomplished with your mister set-up. Make the top back into a long container of water that runs along the full size of the tack. One region more moist than the other will allow potential lifeforms or so, to wander left and right depending on their love for humidity. Also allows ya to touch upon mosses that do not like too moist atmospheres.
What a nice tank already and only 3 months old.. Wow great job! Lovely with the mistmaker on going at a waterfall to the pond over the green wall and also indeed very nice shots!! It looks already better grown in then mine at 1 year!! Wanna see this tank again so also subscribe!
Absolutely Awesome !! I agree with 69bonesz the look of only 3 mo old tank, looks so much more established .. I just built a paludarium, an she was my sole inspiration on her style. I adore her tank. I would like to build another small scale, 20"×20×20" cube, if this one works out for me. Then I would like to copy urs, with alot more land. Hmm a copycat huh. Thanks... Kaye. Oh an yes I got ur channel from 69bonesz shoutout. And subscribed .
Dude how the hell did you build this thing. Hands down the most gorgeous viv iver ever seen. How did you make that mini lake feature in the bottom left corner! This is ridiculous. Need advice from u
Did you use the exo terra screen top too? I always loose too much humidity. I made an air circulation system with a glass top but the air power started scorching my birds nest fern. Any advice? It's a tank for a crested gecko
What is all thr plant life you used, and what humidifier did you use? What are all the supplies you used and equipment? Sorry so many questions im looking to build something like this for my crested gecko and make it so it self cleans itself and just keeps reproducing. Im more of a fan of the small plant life it makes it look more natural. Thanks
You've done a great job. And have had it over a year. Can you tell us what the maintenance is like on this? How often do you change the water, remove plants, have to fight disease, clean the inside glass, etc.
Beautiful! I watched this video like everyday while building mine. Lol. Mind didn't come out as good though. But I'm happy with it. What plants are you keeping in it?
What kind of pump were you using? Also, why is the tank no longer in existence? It's a shame. This is museum worthy, honestly. It's like you stole a piece of the jungle.
Oh my God. This is it. A time ago i've made a little ekosystem in the jar. This is next step. Can you tell me what do i need to make paradise like this?
+kirk wilson Landscaping fabric below the dirted section and as a barrier between dirt/water. If no barrier is used, the pump clogs immediately with sediment.
what types of plants are you using? the tall ones, not the covering. building a dart frog tank, and need plants that don't get too big and like wet humid environments
+epicRMiddleton I used a few large flat stones to make up the base of the pond. I then used smaller stones to break up the lines a bit and make it appear more natural. What you are seeing at the base of the pond is simply a large, flat stone which has accumulated detritus, making it appear as though it has a layer of gravel or sand.
It was as simple as heading out for a hike and spotting a few choice rocks to collect along the way. Good luck on the build and don't rush it. It took me a couple weeks to build this one!
Great stuff expanding foam with driftwood. Once the foam dries you can shape it however you please, then use black silicon and stick coco coir onto it to create the natural look
awesome men!!!!! i give you a like men!!! give me link to this great music men!!! i feeel so relaxed.....i start to think that i should start to set up something like you is great to have a pice of rain forest in my room men!!!
The idea of being bio active, is you don't clean it, if your habitat has a healthy Eco system (water, soil, light, bio active bugs that break down waste and turn them into nutrients) it should all be self sustaining. Maybe cleaning the filter in the water, or changing half of the water every so often would be beneficial.
Casey George hey! im trying to make a paludarium that has a healthy eco system that I do not have to clean. half water and land for my chinese water dragon? any tips on what animals i should get to clean up its waste
All natural live plants, nothing is plastic or fake. I cant tell you other than some Pillea and many types of moss. Most of what you see was collected from the wild in the Missouri Ozarks
+Rick Chan You can buy java moss or christmas moss for aquariums that will acclimate to being grown out of water. If you'd like to purchase some I will sell you some christmas moss.

@@grimrider3807 @Sunnyvale813 Troy Goldberg made a video of how to make a cage that looks like this
This is hands down, the best vivarium I have seen on the Web. Truly a work of art!

I wish this was 10 hours long so I can sleep to it.
Brilliant! Your own little rain forest.
Truly inspiring to watch. What a creative and artistic build
Breathe taking
Very Nice!

Beautiful job. wow, you incorporated a water fall as well as a misting system.
This is so tranquil and beautiful. I have built one myself too.... thanks for sharing

How did you make your water featture? Is there any acrylic pieces or silicone behind it? Thank you. It looks amazing!
+BlackStormCrow False bottom made with a layer of expanded clay pellets, then a layer of landscaping fabric to keep the dirt out of the water table.
Monitoring was pleasant work. What is the size terrarium?
Beautiful! I watched this video like everyday while building mine. Lol. Mind didn't come out as good though. But I'm happy with it. What plants are you keeping in it?
+huntersihelp Mostly wild collected mosses and bog plants. A few common house plants as well
What kind of pump were you using? Also, why is the tank no longer in existence? It's a shame. This is museum worthy, honestly. It's like you stole a piece of the jungle.
Thanks, I broke it down prior to moving. It was a small pond pump, cant recall the brand.
looks amazing! I'm currently building the same size exo for some Variabilis. What are you using for lighting?
+Abran Vigil Thanks, I use a 50w t5HO fixture
Holy shit thats epic
Thank you Derek
Was this project costly? It seems super expensive.
Under $300

Truly inspiring 👍 I'm in the uk and looking to do something like this, did you run any kind of heating on this tank to keep humidity up ?
The Zen garden
This is so beautiful. This is future project for me. Where did you find your products to make this?
+Veronica Suarez Thanks. Local pet stores, craigslist, nature
What are the bio active insects in this habitat?
Very Nice!!! One question how did you do the mist coming down from the top?
+Jason Mosier Ultrasonic humidifier with the outlet modified to dump right at the top of the tank.
nice paludarium, btw where did you plant the mist maker?i see the fog coming down from the waterfall so its kinda new to me

i love it, looks amazing, i think you should add maybe some dart frogs or tree frogs, you should do an update
Thank you. Sadly this tank no longer exists
@@XxBigMOxX whyyyyyy
Awesome set up!
Any greater details on the build?? a forum post perhaps??
+Music to the People I researched for months before building. There are tutorials on various forums. I myself did not document the build process
I'd love to learn more about the fogger you have. What brand or type?
What plants do you have in here? Are they growing well in the coco coir?
excellent set up how long did it take? is that live plants?
Would look great with a tarantula!
Very nice, i am building a paludarium, can you please tell me what light were you using in this setup?
Thanks
+André Correia Hydrofarm 2 ft 4 bulb T5HO
+BigMO I'm gonna use 2x24w just to see how it goes :)
Tks for the video and your help
Do you have spraying system for this vivarium or just alone spraying?
Did you seperate the water feature from the false bottom drainage?
+kirk wilson Landscaping fabric below the dirted section and as a barrier between dirt/water. If no barrier is used, the pump clogs immediately with sediment.
what types of plants are you using? the tall ones, not the covering. building a dart frog tank, and need plants that don't get too big and like wet humid environments
Most of these plants are wild natives of the Ozarks of southern Missouri
If you have a fogger, do you still need a mister?
Can you video yourself setting one up?
This is the only one I've ever built. No plans to build another until I have the space to build a massive one!
This looks great! Can you please tell me what misting system you are using in this build? Thank you!
+Christopher Deo Thanks. I used an ultrasonic humidifier with a hose on the output leading to the top of the tank.
does the kity like it?
how often do you have to clean it? when and if you do clean it is it a complete tear down ?
Are there any animals in there becouse it would be superfordart frogs
very nice! this will be my motivation for mine! what size terrium is that?
Thats awesome I hope yours turns out well. Im pretty sure this tank was 18x18x24
Can you make a setup vid of how you create a vivarium???
Hey sieht sehr nice aus hast du vill eine bau anleitung ? lg
Is this the small or medium?
How do you clean vivariums like these
Psst wanna do a oktober tank update? Been watching this one already 3 times, need a new one ;)
Hello how they call and where I buy bacteria into the terrarium
Hi, what did you use on the "river bed"? It looks like concert and gravel.
+BigMO ahh, I see. Was it slate you used? I'm planning a similar build for my crested gecko.
It was as simple as heading out for a hike and spotting a few choice rocks to collect along the way. Good luck on the build and don't rush it. It took me a couple weeks to build this one!
+BigMO thanks!
Could You explain how did you make stones on the background? Expansive foam ?
Great stuff expanding foam with driftwood. Once the foam dries you can shape it however you please, then use black silicon and stick coco coir onto it to create the natural look
What is that ground cover you're using?
awesome men!!!!! i give you a like men!!! give me link to this great music men!!! i feeel so relaxed.....i start to think that i should start to set up something like you is great to have a pice of rain forest in my room men!!!
How do you clean it with the live plants and everything?? I'd love to do the live flora and not the plastic. Also what is the pump for the waterfall?

Yeah self sustaining is the dream. Now I need to do it for real and in the large tall exo terra enclosure. Thanks for your help mate
Casey George hey! im trying to make a paludarium that has a healthy eco system that I do not have to clean. half water and land for my chinese water dragon? any tips on what animals i should get to clean up its waste
Craig Murphy start with springtails and isopods (woodlice, rollie pollie, pill bugs).
Please tell us what fog system you are using
Cheap ultrasonic humidifier from walmart with hose attached to the outlet
What type of plants you used? Natural, plastic? Name of plants? Be grateful for your full answer :) Thank you.
All natural live plants, nothing is plastic or fake. I cant tell you other than some Pillea and many types of moss. Most of what you see was collected from the wild in the Missouri Ozarks
why not use fake?
if plastic takes less care, or it looks not as good as real one? Thank you.
Was für Moose und Pflanzen sind drin?
how big is your tank
How much ya'll think this would cost ?
What size terrarium is this?
i would put little salamanders in there
where can I buy those moss??
+Rick Chan You can buy java moss or christmas moss for aquariums that will acclimate to being grown out of water. If you'd like to purchase some I will sell you some christmas moss.
What size tank did you use?
what kind of mister are you using?
A cool mist baby humidifier from walmart with a hose on the output
which is the name of the plants?
