Hello, thank you for your videos :) In the iPhone 14 Pro should be dual band gps, so higher gps accuracy. I want ask, why isn’t it problem when you have two iPhones, one next to each other a both running lidar? How the phones know which lidar point belongs to which phone?
The 13 Pro data set you captured contains 11 more photos and corresponding lidar data (decreased overall accuracy), which is not exactly an apple’s to apple’s comparison🍏 However, one can see in your test results that they have greatly improved the gyro and accelerometer, and also the GPS. I hope they give developers access to the 48mpx sensor in a future API update. I am also curious if the gyro drift has been reduced when capturing data with the 14. Would like to see if you notice that. Great video, keep up the good work!
I still find all this mobile LiDAR stuff maybe usable for landscaping Scans but nothing more Drone or phone photogrammetry with 48MP to 108MP delivers amazing results compare to the known 12MP results I just so my runs on an apple MacMini because apples own object capture is very fast free and for me replaced meta shape
Nice one, I was not expecting that kind of improvement.... A suggestion for a further video would be to create some kind of structure to lock the two phones together...It would make sure both of the phone are under the exact same movement, maybe a 3d printed support.... Also, it would make the rest of the world so happy if you could show the metric values as well 😁😁..thanks for the video!
Thank you for this very informative and detailed comparison between these Iphone models. I hope that the resolution of the LiDar sensors and the interconnectivity between the LiDar, Photogrammetary and the GPS apps will be further enhanced and improved.
Totally confused, I want to make a topography map thru winter leave-less trees to design a pond in the rolling land and where dam at what heights. Is this possible? Do I just walk around with some sort of mapping laser, or a drone, or lidar? good day
Glad you executed the idea of comparing the cameras. It would be interesting if I made you a demo app that actually used Apple’s ARGeoTrackingConfiguration which uses its street view to get the accuracy further dialed in. HMU, I’ve got some ideas.
Hi sir, I am using Iphone 13 and 3D Scanner App TM to scan a rock core which is size is about 1.3 m x 1.3 m. When I import the cloud data in Analist software, I found the average distance between one cloud point to the nearest cloud point is about 15 mm. I am not able to do any setting using the 3D scanner app TM. Q1. Do you know how to increase the density of the could point or in other word decrease the spacing between cloud data ? Q2. Did you notice any difference in 3D scanning using Iphone 13 and Iphone 13 Pro ?
Many Thanks Rami for that wonderfull and informative episode. I have a question for you. Can I use the Lidar sensor of i-phone 14pro to capture the surface of water features such as waterfalls or hydraulic jumps or waves? I highly appreciate your feedback.
I asked this on another video, but Is a broadband/phone connection required in order to use the Lidar and ViDoc functionality? Also, what size memory on the iPhone would you recommend?
Thank you for this video always very interesting ! Please, can you reference the T3995 and T4000 with the coordinates of the station in the different models and measure the RMS of the target 3998 in each model iphone 13 pro lidar iphone 13 pro full iphone 14 pro lidar and iphone 14 pro full If you want, I can try to generate the model of your iphone 14 pro in metashape... see you
Hi Rami. if i understood correctly The results indicate that the differences between the measurements made with the camera or with the Lidar sensor are small, but the error in the distances compared to the total station are huge, say a few feet in front of an object that measures, say, 20 feet. And here georeferencing has no influence, since we are talking about distances, is that correct? thanks for your great contribution
At last, a scientific approach to real world case ... Very good job sir!

apple to apple comparison, good one lol

Please comparison 15pro (with new sony TOF sensor) with 14 pro

Do u have any idea how valuable ur video is ? Thank you man
Would the iPhone 14 be even more accurate if using a DJI gimbal or similar?
Totally confused, I want to make a topography map thru winter leave-less trees to design a pond in the rolling land and where dam at what heights. Is this possible? Do I just walk around with some sort of mapping laser, or a drone, or lidar? good day
Perhaps Apple Maps should be crowdsourcing 3d scans to build the entire planet in 3d (including building interiors).
Glad you executed the idea of comparing the cameras. It would be interesting if I made you a demo app that actually used Apple’s ARGeoTrackingConfiguration which uses its street view to get the accuracy further dialed in. HMU, I’ve got some ideas.
Hey Rami!!!
What type of file you used for exporting cloud of the points to Autocad?
Rami, what type of Thinkpad do you have? I’m looking to get a new one for this exact type of work. Love your videos man!

Could we have comparing to I phone 15 pro
Been waiting for this review before upgrading
Cool test. Have hou also tried mapping with the Rhino 3D app?
Thank you for your work and sharing it. I'd love to see that comparison with the 15Pro :)
thanks very helpful
hello if i add my iphone 14 pro on gimbal, i would have better accuracy like 13? or it will be confused ?
it would be good to compare with the 15 pro
So cool, I can´t wait for the next iPhone accuracy. Thanks a lot! This Video is great!

how this same lidar in ipad pro M2?
I'm starting in photogrammetry. Would you recommend to get an Iphone 13 pro or 14 pro?
Still trying to get my head around it

Well done Rami, so definitely the 14 pro is better than the 13 pro in terms of the lidar sensor and should be bought?
Thank you for this video always very interesting !

iphone 13 pro lidar
iphone 13 pro full
iphone 14 pro lidar and
iphone 14 pro full
If you want, I can try to generate the model of your iphone 14 pro in metashape...
see you
Can i find the app for android
Thanks for this vid. I wonder if you’ve got an iPad Pro to also compare against?

Nice videos you do! Next time take much more pics to do normal photogrammetry
I don't care about surveying at all but still subbed. Bravo.
Does the pro max vs. pro model make a difference? for Lidar scanning...
no
I would try capturing reality. It is a fairly great program, and you only pay for a project when you export.
Hi,
What is the HD Capacity ? 256 or 512
What app did you use for the survey?
Please, Compare iphone with ipad pro m1.
Thanks for the great analyze. I did get the 14 Pro max and maybe it will be tool for new company i will start.
Do you know if the newer iPad pros are equally improved?
As always great vid Rami. Am wondering if you tried processing the RAW images using Reality Capture or Metashape?
Really good video. I love 3d scanning with the 14
on Iphone 15 will be lidar gen 2 ( i hope) 😏
Mr Tamimi, u are great. Love to be trained by u.
How much storage do you recommend for 3D modelling for the 14 pro?
I've tried using my iPad for mapping and generally just end up modeling things from scratch instead if accuracy matters
Great vid bruv
Try a galaxy s22 ultra next please

Thank you so much for these videos
Thanks from Brazil
Amazing, Thanks Rami,..
Thanks.
Well job!
Please make a mapping video using iphone 14 pro vidoc rtk and phantom 4 pro
