    This is the best tonic! At the first hint of a scratchy throat I have some of this. In the summer I pour a slug or two over ice, add some sweetener, stevia for me, and fill with water.

    This looks fabulous. I'm going to do this since even though it's coming into summer here in Australia. We sadly have an uptick in the new covid variant going about and quite a few people are getting covid. Our booster shot is not ready here yet but natural remedies are always good. ACV is even good on its own as a digestive tonic for those with problems. Thanks Jill, another great recipe, among so, so many. It's always appreciated 🙏🏻

    Just put mine together, looks great. I added a couple of beet slices which turned the whole thing a pretty, cherry color.
    One Q. - did anyone else have some fruit, etc. float to the top?
    I used fresh cranberries and they popped up to the top, over the vinegar. I decided to try to remedy this by cutting a thick-ish slice of lemon and adding it to the top. It seemed to weight them back down. I also read parchment paper is good to create an interface between the a/c vinegar and the metal mason jar lid, so I added that before I closed the lid. The 30-day clock is now ticking 🙂

    • @wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow

      Did you cut the cranberries in half? I think that helps

    • @claudiafernety7563
      @claudiafernety7563 6 місяців тому +1

      I did. Might be because I used fresh. They hold more water, so probably more buoyant. The lemon slice I put on top pushed them under. So all good, thanks! Loved your recipe.

      @@womanofacertainage5892 Rinse with plain water first. Wait 45 minutes, then brush well. The reason is because the acid will soften your enamel and brushing during this soft stage is too abrasive.

    If you can't find fresh turmeric, can you use some dried ground turmeric instead? When drinking it, if you cut it with some organic apple juice instead of water, this would be great, as well as adding a few more nutrients.
