bugger!!! that is 2am for us Aussies on the East Coast... will watch tomorrow😀 thank you in advance 🙏 only time I have heard of Banoffee pie is in fav movie LOVE ACTUALLY 😍 😂
If you're going to leave some bananas exposed on top without fully covering them with whip cream, you'll want to put a little lemon juice/water on them like you would apples, so as not to have them brown up. I will be making some version of this in the next few days, and/or for Thanksgiving. Good job with yours...it looks awesome. There's many ways to "make it your own" and it should be a home run by anyone's standards.
hi, to make doce de leite you can also cook the tin on the pressure cooker. you just need take out the paper of tin and put water into the cooker until it cover the tin. put to cook for 20 minutes. remove all the pressure and it's done
Nick, here in Brazil we just put the can inside a pressure cooker with enough water to cover it, and leave it for around 30min, it’s way easier! You should try sometime! Loved the recipe, by the way :)
I don't think I've ever had Banoffee pie, though I'd really like to try this recipe. Here's an easy was to make the dulce de leche, if you have an instant pot: -Take the lid off the can of condensed milk and put foil tightly over the top. -Place the can on a trivet inside the instant pot and fill the pot with water halfway up the can. -Cook at high pressure for 40 minutes. That's it! Stir in a teaspoon of vanilla if you want and stir the dulce de leche to make it smooth.
This looks amazing I need to make it I always wonder if Dulce de leche is not that common in other countries as it is in Latin America since I always see this recipies making it. Here you can just get it in the supermarket xD. It's not like its made with ingredients that are not available everywhere (is milk and sugar)
Again, a lovely recipe😍 can't wait to try making this. Thanks nick! 😊 I suggest that you should make a cake with leche flan on top "leche flan cake" . Leche flan is a popular dessert here in the philippines. 😁
Hey Nick! For the dulce de leche, at 4:10 you say to bake it for 90 mins on the voiceover but on the screen it says 60 mins. Which is it?! Love your recipes 💖
The towel that you put under the dish before putting in the oven I see that you added water to the pan but Is that safe to do Wouldn't it catch on fire
Lotus biscuits (already vegan) + vegan butter for the base, coconut condensed milk and maybe coconut cream that you can whip the same way or maybe make a cashew cream
At 4:10 and 4:19 he says he's gonna bake it for 90 minutes, but on the screen at 4:24 it says to bake it for 60 minutes so which one is the right time?
90 mins baking would be at a lower temperature (200degrees is hotter than most foods could endure hence 60mins) I don’t think he mentioned the temperature for 90mins… maybe 170-180 degrees just guessing
I have a question! 🤔 Everytime I make banofee pie, water comes out from caramel+banana🍌layer 💦 Is it normal? (after few hours) What can I do to prevent water comes out?
This looks like a million bucks!! Seeing the thumbnail I thought the dulce de leche was actually almond butter and now that's what I want....
This will be a great desert tomorrow for my church's potluck. I am on the deluce de leche. Just waiting for the crust to cool down.
I can't wait to make this! Using biscoff is a great idea.
Wow I'm impressed by your pronunciation of dulce de leche. You are one of the few people doesn't butcher it by "Italianizing".
Lovely dish and lovely teaching style. God bless you for sharing this.🕊

*EDIT* I think using a peeler on the chocolate should produce longer curls/pieces(?) if that's what anyone is after.
You know this is authentic the way he says ‘we’re going to pop this into….’
I love bananas and dulce de leche! This looks so yummy I think I will make it for Christmas Eve 🤤

Where i live u can just buy tins of that “caramel” / baked condensed milk. Its called Caramel Treat.
Also!! You should show us how to do cookie dough macarons, or pumpkin pie macarons? Or even apple caramel macarons! You’re the best, thanks
Here in Brazil we make doce de leite in the pressure cooker but this way is toooo easier

Ya tengo tu libro!!! 🥰
Thanks Nick 👌👌👌
Why don't you simply cook the condensed milk can in a pan like we do in Portugal?
Hey Nick! For the dulce de leche, at 4:10 you say to bake it for 90 mins on the voiceover but on the screen it says 60 mins. Which is it?! Love your recipes 💖
Definitely not the 90 minutes, nearly burnt my house down lmao
I came to your channel by Zazil💖
Quién más viene aquí por Zazil?? 🤩🤩
Yumm yum!
this looks sooo yuummmy)))
🇬🇧❤️ one of my favourites 😋🤤

Can you make a gypsy tart?
so that pie combo from papa's bakeria is a real recipe huh
The towel that you put under the dish before putting in the oven
I see that you added water to the pan but
Is that safe to do
Wouldn't it catch on fire
Looks great, but I am doing the Swedish Princesse Cake at the end of this week, then I am going to try this banoffee pie:)
How can we caramelize the condensed milk if we don’t have an oven? @scranline
Hello Nick!
The video was really good and I woud like to ask: Do you have any ideas how to make this pie vegan?
Lotus biscuits (already vegan) + vegan butter for the base, coconut condensed milk and maybe coconut cream that you can whip the same way or maybe make a cashew cream
Oo Chocolate hot fudge cake? pls I always get that at Denny's 😂
Like and Suscribed
What temperature in oven

I have a question! 🤔 Everytime I make banofee pie, water comes out from caramel+banana🍌layer 💦 Is it normal? (after few hours) What can I do to prevent water comes out?
Don’t let it get room temperature. Plus that’s not really water. It’s more so the juices from everything oozing out
How to demold it… without breaking crust
Y U M !!
Oh my gosh i just realized the word banoffee is banana and coffee combined 🤯🤯🤯
No, actually it's banana and toffee combined because it's a banana and caramel (the toffee part) tart ;))
@@meryem2762 oof y am i stupid hahaha thanks
You haven't made macarons in forever. I dont suppose we could get an old school Scran Line macaron video?
Hello
It's interesting, that in the *THUMBNAIL* you have bananas on the *BOTTOM* layer, right on top of your crust, but in the recipe, you don't.
Damn, I’m going to be asleep
too much butter needed to add 4 more biscuits
Or u can just boil the condensed milk in a pot for 3 hours without opening the can. 😂
Please get the pronunciation correct.
THERE'S NO TOFFEE IN THIS
The condensed milk has changed to caramel so that is like toffee. 😊
Please talk lesd
