I was left absolutely speechless by how gentle and steady Camera Lady was at pulling off all the bad bits. I honestly didn't think that most of them could be separated. Hats off to her ! I don't know if I ever will get a Poec in my T keeping journey (If I'm being truly honest, I doubt I'll venture out of the Brachypelma/Grammostola group much, mostly because of their extreme longevity, which is the major factor for me keeping these. I like animals that last longer than the typical rodent/cat/dog/etc...), but there is no doubt I'd go for the regalis, mostly because it's the Hobby classic of the Genus. What little we could see was enough to see why they are so sought after. Simply beautiful. Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
That was SUPER cool. I was so glad that you chose to show the rescue efforts, because I was incredibly curious about it. Thank you so much! Also I was pleased that you were able to so clearly demonstrate why human intervention is really useful sometimes. I used to keep snakes, and I was always very careful about sterilization and quarantine. Sometimes I'd get asked why, because "snakes in the wild don't have anyone sterilizing their habitats", etc. And I always had to explain that nature is unforgiving, so a lot of wild animals just don't make it, which is part of keeping ecosystems in balance. But my house is not a wild ecosystem! My animals are pets, and I'm not interested in having a bunch of them die from preventable issues! People say the silliest things. 😂
The camera lady made that process look easy! Kudos to her for having the steadiest, most gentle hands. Thanks for another wonderful and highly educational video!
That yellow underneath her is absolutely mind blowing. This is the first pokie i intend to add to my collection. Not going to lie about it. Just a tad intimidating, but with proper thought and being prepared just like I do with all my others,I should be fine. Famous last words yeah?
Another really interesting one Dave. Camera lady must have such a gentle grip not to squish them as she cleans them, especially when using the tweezers. Good on you both and I'm glad you managed to do damage control for so many of the others.
AMAZING! I was surprised how easily she gave up her egg sac and it looked like she was trying to move to help you. She probably knew that they needed help. I have asked several tarantula keepers what the term "pokies" mean and you are the first to answer it-THANK YOU.💙💙💙
Dave, she is one beautiful Spider. You are a credit to the Spider Hobby with your Knowledge & the way you look after them. Great work mate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great job Camera Lady! Impressive how she was able to hold them without hurting them while pulling off seemingly dried on tar!! YAY!! The girl has got some skills! 134!! Very nice! Please do keep us updated on their progress. I love these ones.Poecilotheria. Lovely
Wow, you two! That was incredibly interesting. I love watching CL work with the nymphs! Both of you demonstrate wonderful care and gentleness that is lovely to see. Thank you for caring and sharing! What a lovely mama! I'm looking forward to seeing how these babies do! 😘
I'm a simple guy, I see a Poecilotheria video I click. Then again I click on any Dave video that pops up. ♡🕸️ Thanks for another great video to end a stressful day!
Ms. Camera Lady did an incredible job! It's touching to see that you were willing to go through the effort of cleaning the bad egg goop off of those babies instead of just writing them off. It always warms my heart to see how much you care about these little fellas.
Thank you, Dave. I took your mantra to heart, "Be calm, be gentle, and love your spider". I am (somewhat) new to the hobby, but conducted almost a year of research prior to purchasing my first spider - a P. regalis (male, as it turns out). We all have our phobias and mine is urticating hair combined with my allergies. I made the decision to only keep old world t's and have no regrets. Thank you for having the best human lessons on the internet with respect to tarantulas. We ALL thank you. The fourteen spiders and their human caretaker.
Some new worlds don't have urticating hairs and some like avicularia have urticating hairs but don't kick them off, they rub their little booties on things but main line of defense is their poop cannon, yes the shoot poo at potential threats 🤣🤣
very interesting video camera Lady has no shakes at all if that was me I would have been shaking with fear I was going to hurt the babies awesome video guys 👍😊
We’ve seen it on here with another sack, I can’t remember exactly which spiders sack it was but it killed them all… I love seeing how they web themselves and the sac in, so instinctive. The yellow on her is so striking, beautiful spider. Another great video, see y’all on the next one!
That was incredible camera lady you are a hero to them little t's, they will never know how you saved them so I thank you for them. Love your videos keep up the hard work.
That was very interesting and looks like you removed the sac in time. Great work by camera lady saving those babies 😍 Congratulations to the Beastie Room! 🎉 🖤🕷️
I don't know if I'll ever own a tarantula of any kind, but seeing a picture of a Poecilotheria is what gave me enough of a passing interest in them to get on the T part of the youtube graph. Really beautiful animals, all of them. Even got a cool systematic name when you look at the word stems.
Another fantastic video Dave so informative! Camera Lady is so invaluable to the beastie room with her amazing camera work and her delicate touch! I just asked the missus if she would do that for me when I start breeding my T's and she said ON YOUR BIKE lol Your a lucky man Dave atb mate!
Very interesting video. You and Camera Lady are so patient. I'm glad you didn't lose very many. Please keep us posted on their progress. Thank you for sharing your world with us.
I love this video! It had something new to learn. I was spellbound, to be honest, watching this. Thank you for showing something that we can learn that isn't exactly like most any other sack pulling videos. This... THIS is why I have affectionately nick named you "the spider whisperer"! Not only do you show how calm they can be if we are, but things to look for. You also show a way to fix that situation! Simply put, THANK YOU!
Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!! Thank God for camera lady and her steady hands and gentle touch.. It's a good thing you pulled that sac when you did. Plz keep us posted on these babies. Tyfs God bless you
Ooooh the tedium but all for the love. Good job guys! Definitely keep us posted as to how this batch fairs. On a side note, I have definitely noticed a video/sound quality increase. Kudos there too. Huge learning curve when it comes to sound and video gear. I'm glad you've taken it in stride. Thanks again for your continuous and educational content. Much appreciated!
Hi Dave and Camera Lady, hope you’re both doing well today. 💕💙 This is such an amazing video. Mummy spider is beautiful with the flash of yellow on her legs 💛 She struck out a couple of times while you were removing her egg sac, and I thought she was going to chase after it at one point. Thankyou for taking the view from the top with your phone, to show what Camera Lady couldn’t. You were just in time getting to the nymphs, before any further damages. Very lucky indeed. It’s a first for me to actually witness (the bad eggs) inside the egg sac that still contained living babies. I’ve seen dead sacs. I’ve seen dead eggs within a nursery pot. But like I said,You were very lucky to catch them before they spoiled the whole sac! Camera lady’s gentle touch came in very handy indeed to get it all sorted. I know I couldn’t have done it. 🕷🕷🕷That would be great to know how the nymphs get on 🕷🕷🕷 I wonder what’s next…? Take care and stay safe 💕💙🥰xxx
You are absolutely right about the Regalis. They have so many crazy little details on their hide, it's mesmerizing, just to look at them closely. 🙆♂️😯😀✨️🎉
What a great instructional video. Very well narrated and again camera lady with the patience and steady hands does the impossible again. Well done all.
Another beautiful girl dave, very interesting video, its interesting to see things that dont quiet go to plan and then so other adapt to the situation. Camera lady done a fantastic job to!! 👏
I'd be interested in seeing how the eggs progress, at least until we know they're going to be fine, especially the ones that were stuck to the bad eggs. Momma is a beautiful spider.
David, I always just love your video's not just because you are teaching me new things.. But you are so cherry and up beat.. you just pick me up a notch and help to set me on that higher ground.. Outstanding video.. camera lady sure has a steady hand and a delicate touch... Well done!! I am gonna enjoy the up dates on these critters.. Thanks again guys..
Aw Dave, this one made me so sad. Those poor n1s that got stuck to the duds. :( Seeing them wiggle their tiny legs while stuck made me feel so bad. It was really nice to watch the Camera Lady be so gentle trying to save them though. ;;
I love the sort of nature/wildlife hobby/breeder youtube channels and close up footage should be one of the cornerstones of the content. This channel has it in spades, but some channels skimp on, or neglect it altogether. So I salute you guys. Great teamwork
Binge watching the videos again. Thank goodness for camera lady, she has the delicate touch and did so well with the dubious eggs. I was enjoying another video recently, don't ask what one coz I can't remember, I've a brain similar to a sieve! Anyways, it's where you showed the actual pairing and obviously edited and then showed the sac and babies. I know alot more work which you don't need at the moment but so fascinating to actually see the whole story so to speak, so would definitely love more of those in the future going forward 😊
Great care of your spiders everytime. Camara Lady you are absolutely amazing very steady hands and I'm sure that the slings are so happy you and Dave got to them in time. Loved the video Dave very informative can't wait for the next one. 👏
absolutely a brilliant video with the great information on this egg sack PROFF. and another fine fine work from the wonderful CAMERA LADY. another great result for the beastie room on this project. this video ranks among the top ones, great great great guys, take care guys and many thanks.
It was crazy how you were going on about how and why you should pull the egg sac and then you pull this one out! Super interesting to see! It’s seems like the egg sac is either all bad being infertile or whatever it may be and some are completely healthy and in great condition. This one had a little bit of both and you pulled it at the perfect time. It’s fascinating to get to look deeper into the lives of tarantulas and understand what happens. Thank you for the great videos!
really interesting video dave. i liked the added top down shot as you removed the egg sac. i should be getting a MM for mine soon maybe at Bristol show
Congratulations on the good babies and that sack looked just like my vitatta sack she had some bad and imfertil eggs but I'm glad I pulled it when I did cause I believe it was gonna make the whole sack bad
