I just found a small wolf-like spider in my bathroom today, they come from my garden during humid days at night. I rescued her, I took her back outside. For a moment I felt like Dave and the Camera Lady when they're handling their spiders! Thank you for taking good care of these awesome creatures! Cheers!
Dave, you make it look so easy! Even the fast and "medically significant" spiders can't faze you. Thanks for another great video of a beautiful spider.
Yes, it's fun, interesting as well as educational every time a new video comes up with our dear Dave and his equal lovely Sweet Camera Lady as our hosts! Thank you and big hugs to you both👋♥️🥰🤗👍!
Brilliant as always Dave, they're a beautiful species of spider 🕷, and will sit out regularly on display, anyway Dave that's another super job by yourself and camera 📷 lady Dave.
Oh! Just finished watching the toad and bullfrog...then as I was watching that video, y'all posted this! I'm pretty excited lol I was worried I'd have nothing to watch next and I'd have to to back to older videos 😂
For an arachnophobe, I certainly love Pokies! The patterns and colors are so striking! Oddly enough, their size is good for me. I'm not going to lose sight of that girl, can truly appreciate her beautiful markings, and she doesn't make me immediately think "eek! Spider!" Just an amazing creature. Thank you again, Dave and CL! This video is my 71st birthday gift! 😄💕🕸🕷🕸
@@pattijareo7423 I have always been petrified of spiders, like run out of the room in fear when spotting 1, kinda petrified. I've even slept on the couch because there was a spider in my bedroom lol! great spider with the bright yellow on the legs, very informative PROFF with the great information on this spider. amazing that she held onto her dinner. great footage CAMERA LADY. many thanks guys and take care
What a doll she is. P regalis was my first t. I have such a soft spot for this species and genus. Love your videos, Dave! Special shoutout to Camera Lady, she seems really nice 😊
Hey Dave I’d love to see a series of rehouse builds for all your pokies! They’re by far the most beautiful species of tarantula and watching the rehouse videos have to be my favorite! Keep up the great work!!!
What a beautiful spider, gawd, so Grand , Regal , self assured, and they definately know their revered , they amazing all of them , thanx Dave ,Camera lady ,
She's so happy, didn't even bother to hide away. All down to your husbandry imo. Not sure if I've spelt that word right but you know what I mean, hopefully 😊
Thanks for this video, I rehoused my first (and so far only) pokie today after watching. We both did just fine! I appreciate the tips on setup and moisture.
Hello Dave and Camera Lady. What a beautiful gray lady! These are one of my favorites with their blue legs and yellow bands. Just gorgeous. Thank you so much for the lovely video. Excellent camera work Camera Lady. Y’all take care of each other. ❤❤
again a great video! Thank you. As I was a beginnen I always was afraid to rehousing the poecis. In the meantime it is a "easy" way, I learned a lot from your videos. Verry helpphul many thanks.
This is my favorite T they breed easily they’re beautiful they can live communally. And are very calm as adults. Juveniles are every thing you described they’re fast and defensive and bitey . I’ve been bitten 2 x I’ve kept tarantulas 50 years and been bitten a few times I think their bite was a bit more painful and more swelling and itchy . My ladies are hungry they’ll get in a corner and wait for food and water they like to drink from the glass .
Almost at 100K Dave!! I am confident that you’ll be there by the end of 2024. I trust you’ll do a video of your silver plaque when the time comes. Can’t wait for you to get your silver plaque (100K) and your golden plaque (1 million subs). Let’s get him there, guys 💪.
Aww! Soo beautiful. That was the first Poecilotheria sp. I decided to keep. The P.regalis has in my eyes the clearest markings of the Species. Cameralady gave Us some really awesome Closeups👍👏
Hey Dave & Camera Lady! Great video as always. Can't wait for the P metallica video! I got a 0.1 3 months ago as my first OW. She was a bit crazy after I rehoused her (or shall we say, reacted strongly to every possible stimulus), but now she seems happy and often sits on her pc of bark. ;) Cheers guys, keep it up! 🤟
Beautiful species, also one of my first T's. I got a regalis, a rufilata and a metallica to start my collection. The regalis and rufilata both hooked out last month...
What a beautiful spider! And of course, Camera Lady’s excellent work is spot on! Dave, I think you sprinkle some sort of spider fairy dust on your spiders, or have some sort of magical spell you cast on them to make them so well behaved!
Hey Dave! I haven’t watched this one yet (I’m catching up on what I’ve missed for two years first. I’m off work for a few days so I’m going to try to get caught up), I just finished your fruit fly culture video. But I wanted to share a funny experience with you that I think you’ll enjoy. And also one that I think will make you smile. Tonight, I was in the living room with my family, watching your channel. One of the juvie funnel webs were on screen and my step father goes: that’s gross, why are we watching this? And I go: because it’s my main guy, Dave. Then he goes: you still watch this guy? I go: you bet ya. I’m probably his biggest supporter. Thought you’d get a kick out of that, Dave. The other experience: my room is in the basement of the house. In my region, we get a variety of small spiders. None who are able to cause you any real harm. I have my own personal bathroom and I often find spiders in there, by the shower and stuff. What I do is I grab a catch cup and I repeat your famous words in my head. Be calm, be gentle & love your spider. And I catch them up and I let them free in the yard. Hope you see this & reply Dave. Man, I’ve missed your channel.
Indeed, ground spiders like to climb onto the roof and gnaw the mesh. One of my gnaw a hole in the metal mesh and ran away. Now I'm using a stronger and larger mesh.
I still want one of these so bad, i currently have a Maculata and Striata. Had a Regalis spiderling but it passed away the day after i got it. Still need a Metallica as well. Loved the video as usual Dave, so wish i could see your spider room in person.
"Basically, don't get bitten" There's a really good book out there called "Last chance to see" written by the one and only Douglas Adams and Mark Carwardine. They go and visit a guy who specialises in venomous animals. I remember the guy saying the very same. 😂 Very entertaining book (though a sad subject) I highly recommend it. Very good episode again! ❤
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I’ve always been scared to death of all spiders but I’m trying to get over my fear. Got my first Tarantula last weekend, Xenethis Intetmedia Blue Bloom. She is approximately a year old. Very pretty. Trying to watch all your videos and absorb as much as I can. Your videos are wonderful.
Hi Dave love all the information it’s like you make it a story time with all the bitch in pieces. Beautiful spider and so big. I hope you find a male on your way to 100 K. Good job.😎🙏💖📸
Such beauty. Im going to have to order a new enclosure for my Sazmai. It's just emerged after a moult & yikes, it's huge! Wasnt expecting such a huge jump in size lol My Apophysis has just moulted too, not seen the size difference on that yet, but i have a feeling that it may need a bigger enclosure too.
What a beautiful tarantula the Regalis is. Almost looks like a living art installation! And about the P. Metallica, it has been a few years since your last rehouse and care video on them, Dave. Perhaps you could make an update video?
I love the P regalis, also my first ever pokie (had a communal of them). Also I would far rather put my hand in an enclosure with a pokie over my A gen, I find that the pokies tend to run for cover whereas my A gen will strike at any movement
How do you do it? Never a boring video. I always look forward to watching a new one and have several times went on a beastie binge just watching your videos. Making sure I've liked them all lol. As always thank you for the excellent video.
This being an Indian spider made me remember seeing a few report a few years ago about large tarantula looking spiders that were jumping at people in a city in India as they walked down the streets. I hate to say I have forgotten the detail of these stories or what was causing the problem, but would like to renew what the deal was and what type they were, etc. That female was a very impessive looking spider.
Poecilotheria metallica, regalis, trigrinawesseli and fasciata, are quite good behaving, but Rufilata.. All i can say is, definetly some carefulnes is recommended.. My rufilata is truly very fast, very reactive and bolty, truly not beginner or even intermediate spider.. Needs time and patience when rehousing and doing any care. Im used to deal with these but this one can definetly make me rethink my actions 😅 Amazing spider, but truly needs some nerves 😅

P regalis is just about my favourite spider. Back in my day they spiderlings were easy to get hold of. But I have noticed that as it stands right now they are really hard to find. I could not find anyone selling any. I'm wondering whats going on there.
When I first got my Chalcodes (likely wild caught) she did get stuck on the screen top. I gently unhooked her feet and she has never done it again. I don't know how I could keep her enclosure dry enough with a solid top while still giving her the water she needs. She sometimes likes to stand in the water.
Dave , hot Glue , if it is not allowed to cool slowly it won't stick if you say put water on it , just hold it or wedge it and it will not be brittle but malable , honest , cheers
