Watch This Baby Frog get BLOWN UP over and over by Canal Pike!

- The aim of this session was to use small floating soft plastic lures like frogs and bugs to try and get some topwater canal blow ups! The main target species were the chub as these are a fantastic species to target using this method, but I didn't expect the pike to gate crash quite so hard! This mate for some explosive takes and great footage!

Fishing naturals in bolton isn't the one. Trust me river douglas gone miles down hill same with leeds liverpool cannal

7:19 - such a rebel 😜 for real though I've always been impressed by your ability to get fish to come back and take the bait again. I find it very difficult to get a fish to come back after it's felt resistance when taking the bait, I don't know how you do it 😅

I bought a BFS setup for this year. I have the Dark Wolf Ultra, but I also bought a HICC50 on a whim since it was around £30. Really surprised with it's casting capabilities.

Got the same reel and the tsurinoya rods are excellent quality too, mine has been going strong for about 4 years. Wouldn't go back to spinning reel now

I'm convinced Chris could catch fish using his monster munch pickled onion flavour as a bait. I'm also convinced that the number of chub in the many miles of canal near me is zero.......& that I'd be lucky to see a single jack per session!
I have caught chub on chips (french fries).

Hi Chris, I have some of the Z Man bugs, I use them on a Cheb rig, am I assuming you just fished them on a hook with no weight at all?
love frog lures had lots of success with them on the bolton to bury canal

I've had good success on the salmon surface bug baits. I think you used them last year Sensei
I've had three jacks on boilies over the last few weeks whilst carp fishing. All hooked fair and square in the scissors taken on pop ups.

Are there different seasons for canal fishing or am i just being a bit thick😅because I thought the season starts in June through March?.im new to rivers and canals always been a carp fisherman primarily.
Rivers are closed for coarse fishing. Canals are open depending on the club who owns the fishing rights.
