Jigging Worms For River / Creek CHUNKS! (Unexpected catch!)

- This session I decided to head out with the ultra light urban setup and target some chunky river / creek perch. With the weather getting colder i thought it would be a good idea to use a live bait on the hook, so opted for big juicy lob worms. I weedless rigged and standard jig head rigged them to good effect catching some chunky river perch and even a hard fighting river torpedo!

I bought a light rod recently 2-8gr. Only tried it once but I already love it. Usually Im fishing a 5-20gr setup but 90% of my baits are in the 5gr range so I feel more comfortable with the lighter one. Sadly its getting really cold, fish are passive and here the season for trout is over, so no trout fishing allowed. Might switch to top water bread and catch some chubs.

nice to see that rod in action, i got myself the one size up (3-14 gr.) due to the fact im fishing a lot of rivers where a 8 grams lure wont make it all the way down. Mine is this years xmas present from my lovely wife.

Cracking fishing . I always see these shallow clear areas and convince myself as I can't see the fish they can't be there. You prove otherwise I guess they dart out from cover ? Anyway I ll be off to fish in the shallows next time

I put on float if you tie a hevey weight then up the float till you findvthe bottom.. Then it's a split shot 10 inches from hook a worm and a maggot. Cast... Feed the float and wow your on the bottom were the perch feed. Loch bunachton bunachton Moor inverness. Avredge 3 lb.. Big 5 lots of 3 ilb

Great video, love watching all news where you jig worms as you never know what the next fish will be ( proven at the end with the barbel lol ) also I was just wondering if u had and bait casting rods around the 40-80g casting weight that you know of for a reasonable price??
