Impressed with the build, your driving/controlling it (BTCC Sierra Cosworth levels of power), and the fact you filmed it well (good audio, no shaky video). But, did I really see a Bentley Turbo R getting on track (@ 07:32) ? Please tell me they were driving it similar to you in your E30!
Yes, it has powersteering. Pictures and more here(in norwegian): bimmers.no/forums/topic/766095-ole-martins-e30-m10-turbo/?do=findComment&comment=2744093
+Jonathan Hendrickson The reliability is quite good. The biggest problem have been the exhaust temperature. If you look close on the EGT metre, the one to the left. It shows up to 950 degrees celcius, thats over the scale.... The 2 first headers I made from black steel couldnt take the heat, and cracked. The last one, I made from ss 321, and it seems to be good. I run it on pump gas 95 octane(EU 95 octane = US 91 octane) To keep the temerature down, i had to make a air duct so that the air blows through the ic and radiator, in stead of around them.
+02ole nice, very impressive, and did you really mean celcius or Fahrenheit? I'm in the US. how much for one of your SS turbo manifolds? I'd really like to know more on your build.
Hey bro, i have an 316 e30 as an proyect car. So i was thinking on fitting dual Webber caburators and make arround 220hp without turbos. Any tips modding the old M10??? on the other hand, your car has carbs or inyection???
220 N/A is just not going to happen. Aim for around 160/170, it will retain driveability and some low end torque. A 220bhp NA M10B18 will just be a dog to drive, you will brag about the Dyno graph if you get there but you'll never drive it for it won't idle properly under 2k and won't produce any torque under 5k.
I had a bmw 2002 touring with turbo, as you can see some vidoes of in my channel. It had a m10b18 from e30 318i, and I drove several years with 1,3 bar/18 psi boost with stock internals. So it may, or may not handle it. It depends on a lot of things. Especialy ignition/knocking
+carl shneebly I just added a turbo! No, just kidding ;-) its 380WHP on 95 octane(I think thats the same as 91ron. Just add h-rods, forged pistons, turbo camshaft and other valve springs, and the engine will take it.
Just bought (today) an old e21 320is Callaway, bookmarked your page and it's going to be a lot of help. Great power and nice fun build! congrats :) PS. check out my videos if you have time.
That turbo sound is sweet...👌🏽
man i love your videos!

I love this video so much I've watched like 12 times
Does the car have powersteering added? It’s a beast!! Any chance of showing us the engine bay?

Hei, Ole!
Skal du på Gatebil Rudskogen i år? :)
+Øyvind Munkeby Hei! Kjører stort sett kun på trackday og bmwccn sine treff.
Forstått. Hadde vært artig å sett på bilen! :)
Damn that m10 ain't no punk. any overheating issues/reliability issues running like that?

@@TheThunderwars thanks for the info bro. I really apreciate it.
What ignition system?
Can stock internals resist this boost tension?

Yes ignition timing is so important thankf
What pistons and rods are you running?
CP pistons and h-beam rods
@@02ole what did you change to the engine

Nice car but that tyres suck, you need to upgrade it
Thanks, and I know. The tires are upgraded, and I hope to drive more in 2020!
