I watched various tutorials about animation blueprint, but your channel showed me how it all works. You broke down animation blueprint into prime factors, explaining step by step, as simply as possible, how it works. Many thanks for all the knowledge you share
Another banger! Since you seem to read every comment I will tell you this: I started creating on blender as a hobby a couple of years ago. The idea of making my creations playable and somewhat ''alive'' always been something I wanted to do but always felt like an unachievable dream... Thanks to your videos, I can finally make that happen and I am so so grateful you are doing this. You are single handedly raising a whole generation of indie game devs and that deserves all my respect and admiration. Will for sure support you financially once I start releasing my projects. Keep it up Kevin you're the best!
Wow. What a motivating comment. Also. No pressure 😂. I’m glad the vids are helpful. I think we’re going to be starting various mini game examples too which will hopefully be fun for you all. Thanks for watching and dropping the comment.
Outstanding video! I took a course that used the animation blueprint, and I've build a few things with it, but only kinda half got it. Thanks for filling in the gaps and now i feel like i have waaaay more control to make what I want.
This is amazing we cannot thank you enough. The internet is amazing but human beings like you that add educational content like this are even more amazing. GOD BLESS AMERICA.
@@livinfreestyle6727 No problem at all. Looking through the list of vids you've created it looks like you've created a gold mine of info. Lucky i'm on holidays ;)
Man thank you i was looking for someone to actualy explain to concept and you did just that. not like 95% of the tutorials who just show you what to do
Wow, I'v been trying to learn and digest UE's logic for a while now. As an experienced CG artist who's good with node graph setups in other DCCs, The way you broke the task of each division and what they're responsible for made it a lot clearer now. You sir are a lengend, Subscribed.
we do have a couple of other anim videos and I'm still working on the "Map" that shows videos, the order, and how they relate. Thanks for watching and dropping a comment!!
It will be interesting to take 2 or 3h total, to learn with ALS, it is well constructed, and for average to advanced viewers it will be really pleasant to rediscover the use of Interfaces.
I feel like you guys ruined the third person template with this Lyra system. Now it’s very difficult to follow established tutorials on third person and there’s just so much packed into it that it’s hard to figure out how to implement things because you have to understand all the little details before doing it. also, the documentation isn’t even really updated that well yet. is there anywhere to get the third person template that was in the previous version like unreal 4 that had the third person template without the Lyra system
"I feel like you guys" this definitely made me smile......I don't work for Epic. Just like you, I am figuring out how all the new templates etc work and just trying to help out with some tutorials etc. As far as getting the previous unreal template. You could create a third person template in 4.27 for example. Save it. Then open it in 5.X and unreal should covert it for you. Presto. Old template, new version.
@@livinfreestyle6727 fair enough. I actually like your style so far it’s pretty easy to understand. I hope you keep doing these. I’ll be trying to watch as many of these as possible because you actually explain things unlike other tutorials.
@@livinfreestyle6727 yeah for sure. I’m going to keep watching your videos. I’ll try to catch up to where you are now, but it’s going to take me a while. I just don’t understand why other videos have more views than you do especially when you take a lot more time to explain everything. Let’s just hope that that changes overtime! Thanks again for taking the time and not giving up on the views!
I can understand your frustration but as a person who has been playing with unreal engine since version 3 in high school the amount of quality of life improvements they have made for developers is absolutely unreal. I remember how painful it was just to setup a basic melee weapon combat system in C# as well as the third person camera system and movement. Yea it’s a new learning curve but it pays off.
@@livinfreestyle6727 I actually find it very helpful! Especially when you're giving examples or like when you're acting the falling movement, it makes it easier to visualize. Also for people that English is not their first language, it tends to be easier to see the person talking.
Best teacher on youtube... Thx!

Subscribed! This video was informative and constructive. Instead of jumping in to action, I like how you explain. Please do more of Animation stuff.

Glad to hear the timestamps help too
I can't seem to find the Blend node mention at 54:03. Is it the same as Two Way Blend node?
clear and understandable. Thank you so much.
You are very welcome
Great stuff! This gives some cool insights into basic animation blueprint basics.
Thanks for watching!

I like the content but the talking head in the corner is too distracting.
Thanks for the heads up, as we progress we can try a few without and see what people prefer

Keep Kevin the talking head on screen+1
