  • In this video, we would like to show and explain the steps of Bell's palsy recovery, so you can have a better picture of what you can expect. Please note that Jay has recovered quite quickly from his facial palsy. In approximately 20% of the cases, Bell's palsy can take a much longer time. If your recovery takes longer than shown in the example here, take a look at this article: crystal-touch....
Jay recorded his facial palsy recovery from day 1 until his full recovery. He used Neurological Tests to record his progress over the time. He wanted to show how Bell's palsy progresses and what you can expect from a general recovery scenario. In this case, Jay's recovery was quite quick. Most of his facial muscles regained movements within 4 weeks. Some parts of his facial nerve sustained a bigger damage and needed around 10 weeks to recover. This lead to some complications. In the majority of the cases, Bell's palsy will recover within 3-4 weeks and lead to full recovery. In some cases, it is possible that you may follow the same scenario as Jay - the majority of the movements will recover within 3-4 weeks, and the rest might need a longer time. In approximately 15-20% of facial palsy, the recovery may take a much longer time. The time needed for recovery depends on the initial damage to the facial nerve. You can read more about this in our Bell's Palsy Knowledge Base: crystal-touch....

Hello. From our experience, if you don't do anyhting, synkinesis will not go away on its own. In most cases, synkinesis can be reduced, even after 4 years. Take a look at our Bell's Palsy Knowledge Base crystal-touch.nl/bells-palsy-knowledge-base/ to learn more about synkinesis and its recovery. You can also register for a video diagnostics, where we can speak with you one and one and see what can be done about your synkinesis.
