Nature-based notepad; a use-your-scraps project

- This concept uses dried leaves, flowers or weeds, transparency scraps and off it’s of writing paper to create a variety of notepads with a nature theme. The idea can be used in different ways on several types of journal inserts. Thank you for watching and happy creating.

I was a teacher before my car accident took me out of the classroom and I remember how much time I spent moving things around and setting up, then deciding that something wasn’t quite right and starting again. All the meetings and getting my curriculum ready. People in Australia have the view that teaching is an easy job because we get “so many holidays” and finish at 3:30pm. They don’t see all the extra time with meetings and set up etc. The holidays go really quickly when you spend days at school setting up the best programs you can for every individual student you have to teach. So good to hear your voice! I’ve been needing some new Cori inspiration and you were great as always. I would love to see the goodies in your box. I’m a SPED para and we are short a SPED teacher this year so things have been a mess. Next week is end of first quarter and I finally feel like I’m getting into a consistent routine. These are amazing. Would love to see anything you made! I’ve been at the hospital since mid July with my 23 yr old son. He was in a car accident and has a severe brain injury. It’s been the most difficult thing I’ve ever been through and thankfully I’ve had time recently to watch some videos here and there to lift my spirits some. We are still at the very beginning of things. Unsure of deficits still. But watching this has made me realize I need to take some time for my happiness too. Thanks for sharing.
Oh Jamie, I am so very sorry. I've been through something similar with my youngest son and my heart aches for you. It is tough and heartbreaking and beyond challenging as you pray for healing and a return to health. Absolutely, take time for YOU ❤

I put away my journaling scraps and such and took advantage of your absence and worked on Holiday cards. 42 out of 60 done, and now I can can take a much needed break and make some scrappy goodness for my journals. Welcome back😊. I was wondering about you so I ask Gayle and she said you were traveling seeing family and friends. Congratulations on your new grandbaby. We are going to be heading to Wyoming in a couple of weeks to spend time with our son, Chris and his family. Our grandson turns 7 later this month so trying to get there in time for that. Then his baby sister will be born mid November. Won’t be home til next year. So have lots to get packed. I thought once the kids weren’t little any more when I had to pack everything but the kitchen sink would be done. But having to pack a lot of crafting things to take feels a little of the same🤪. I’m glad you are such a teacher that takes the time and energy to learn new things in order to teach. I don’t think every teacher does that. So kudos for that. I love this nature notebook pocket thing. I made a bunch of the coin holders with dried flowers. But I really want to try this. Very cool idea! I love it! Yes please show what you created while you were gone! Would love to see ❤️

So glad to hear you are well. I missed you but even more I worried (passed down by my mother)🙄. I just love everything you do🥰. I have tried many times to dry weeds and flowers but EVERY time they either fall apart, turn brown or just don’t ever dry out😳🤦♀️. My daughter is a fourth grade teacher and knowing how much work it is I’m amazed you have time for a video, but sure do love them ❤
Thank you to your daughter. Teaching today is not for the faint of heart. Heck, any public service job these days is just tough. Gotta be upfront… I don’t really do anything when I dry weeds and such. I lay them out and let them dry. Maybe try that?
