Got Dayuum! I just got the Ephemere DIY this week, put it together last night, need to calibrate it tonight then get busy and this video has me amped to dive in. The audio sampling was something I wasnt aware of and not I'm stoked!
This module is wild as are your demos haha. I’ve been puzzling it out in my mind to get some sort of knob recorder but this makes way more sense cause it’s not just about recording a knob as that’s not always the best way to create melodies anyway. Being able to capture incoming cv but then constrain the range and then moving through slices!!! 🤯 Amazing! After slices are inputted are you able to move them around to adjust?
You're making it REALLY difficult not to deep dive into eurorack and give all my monies to noise engineering, arturia, etc etc. I liked everything, but that first "melody"... my first thought? "ANGRY BOARDS OF CANADA" (which is awesome. I'm always dazzled by your works)
Hey Jeremy! Loving all the vids, it makes me want to jump back into eurorack... Any chance for another Push 2 video? Or do you happen to own a Minilogue XD? Selfishly, I'd love to watch RMR vids on more gear that I own haha
Hey I've been seeing the Twin Waves MKII crop up here and there but no one has seem to have done a detailed dive into it. It looks like a decent dual osc but not sure the depth of the capabilities. Have you considered doing a feature on it?
@@MrMarcLaflamme check this out. He does a good review on the first version too which should cover all the bases. ua-cam.com/video/36QjsN9Sm6s/v-deo.html
@@RedMeansRecording In fact after I watched your video, I took a look around and I notice that PP uses it to make envelopes and LFOs. But, maybe that doesn't work as well as your ideas. I should try the great crazy audio recording on the 1010 bitbox, I hadn't thought about using it in that way. Anyhow, I'm very curious about this module, could be something for my case. Do you find yourself using it a lot, or is it more of a special/limited use module? Great video too, thanks.
"Guide to the Practical Study of Harmony" has some good pointers about voice leading/common tones. what book would do best for you really depends a lot on who you are.
My dude, AHK-T is how you pronounce OCHD. Genuinely its the begining sound anything with multiples of 8, like, the number of LFOs it has, octopus, octuple or octagon.. You can just ommit the tober from October and ad a D sound at the end and voila. Oct+D
It´s not meant to be an audio sampler, the features are focused to treat control signal rather than audio, even though it can reach 44.1kHz, below 22.05kHz is considered low fi right?
@@EdwinSL Hi Ed, Ephemere has 2x ADCs with 16-bit max. resolution. This is a high-resolution dual-channel recording interface for your control voltages. Sample rate can be set at 44.1kHz, what do you mean low fi or low in sampling? cheers :)
Dude plays better tunes demoing a module than 99% of the DJs I listen to on youtube.

randomly selecting stuff from plaits, i never would have thought of that. what an inspiration you are
The endless possibilities of modular. Thanks for demonstrating.
This is absolutely incredible :) Great video on a great module!
Aaah this is definitely something I was wanting! Looks perfect
Yeah, finally someone reviews this thing. So interesting! Thanks for the video!
Love the entire video, but my favourite bit must be the extra syllable you add to "quantization".
Aaaah I want modular so baaaad!!!!! this is sick AF!
great to see Patching Panda on your channel :) and great video :)
Bravo, je l'adore!
Such a nice module

Noise Engineering is made up of just the nicest folks.
Aww gawd, every time i watch these videos I want to buy more stuff 😶

Push 2 is coming I promise. Just got a LOT of stuff I gotta do first.
@@RedMeansRecording awesome! No worries, keep doing you. we love it
This is pretty rad
I feel like a stone-teite who is witnessing an alien landing. But I love the sound. 😂👍
But récord a trumpet ,a string some drum, whats the point to sample the same music from ur modules ? Btw great video and amazing module
cool stuff

Yeah I have and I need to! I will try while it's on the slab.

It has so many features I crave to see on my Hermod! Why 😭
Dammit Jeremy how you costing me $400 like this 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Out of curiosity, can/could it be used as an LFO or envelope?
Sort of yes

Hey. I wanted to know what chord progression book would you recommend

what the hell? i seem to be missing $400. i could have sworn i had $400 more about 25 minutes ago.

Nice for melody but to low in sampling, that makes it all over low fi , not my cup of tea.

It's not meant to sample audio. It just can.
@@RedMeansRecording maybe I'm wrong but I think it does not matter if it's audio rated or slow, same resolution
