Ok, so I don’t understand all the technical complexities, but you make such amazing, delectable, spinetingling noises with it all. Love your music Jeremy.
Amazing stuff as always. I loved the walkthrough, but then the performance was mind blowing. It really all came together, because you told us a lot about the how but also the why. I'll definitely put some Rings texture on my stuff using a similar technique!
Jeremy, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS???? I just got caught by my boss, at my desk, eyes closed with my stankiest stankface on, headbanging like a madman to the final jam. Someone in the comments said that you are "absurdly good at this, and I can only agree... This is absurd. Thank you much ❤️❤️
I’ve been wanting to get my hands on one of these since this video premiered. I’ve watched it a few times a week to fight the urge to purchase an Osiris. Maybe I can sell my car…wait better yet I’ll my house, buy a bus live in it and fill it with synths! Best idea I’ve had in a long time #synthbus #mutinousmachines #coming2atownnearu
wonderful stuff! Very inspiring, Jeremy, thanks! was anyone else getting more than just a hint of Underworld in that performance? (I meant it as a compliment!)
Hey man, wonderful video. Nice to see the workflow of building the patch as well as the final performance. Also, I am wondering what that module is at the bottom right corner with the 3 faders?
Great video. I wonder how the phase modulation mode sounds on this module. Thinking of paring this with the Generate 3 which also has analog phase modulation.
@@RedMeansRecording I'm using Zadar a lot as EGs, but mainly as I'm missing more suited options right now (only have the Soundforce Dual ADSR and the Falistri, which is way to little). Really should order a Quadrax or Stages ... or two.
Any idea what the frequency ranges are on this module in LFO and VCO modes? Judging from the "coarse"-knob settings in the video, it looks like the vco tunes rather low and doesn´t go very high. Does it go out of audible range? Thanks for a great video :-)
Since there is an AM input for each waveform, theoretically, you could send an envelope to that instead of an audio rate signal and use it as a VCA per waveform, is that correct?
Maybe I missed this detail in the setup, but are you ducking the bass with the kick somewhere? Is there some side chain compression going? The kick is so solid and clear and the baselines are still thick and rubbery.
What are you using for faders in the right end of the bottom skiff? Been looking at the Antumbra Fade modules but can’t find any. I’m wanting a performance fader for controlling audio rate and CV.
Hi just loved the sweet analogue sounds just wonder what would the approximate cost to set up a rig based on the list of equipment in your description. Thanks, great performance.
These are quite expensive as far as modules go... If you have limited means, I suggest you look at the secondhand market and there are also several companies, such as takaab in Thailand, that make more affordable modules. I love these fancy modules as much as the next nerd, but they can be a distraction from learning modular- which imho, is about the way different functions interact. You can start with cheaper, simple modules, and I would suggest looking for modules outside of the 'east-coast subtractive synth' basic modules , at least partially.
I don’t understand much about modular, I’m just here for the delicious synth sounds

One day you'll understand it all and wonder where all of your money went!
Even though I don't have all the toys and tools, you still inspire me to make music with what I have and for that thank you kind sir!.

Just picked up an Operat today. Excited to get wiggling! Great video as always ✌️
Well that earned a long overdue sub. Truly insanely awesome track! 🤘

Killer patch! Wonderful video as always.
Sometimes I forget how absurdly good at all of this you are.
Those subdued vocals give me some serious Peter Gabriel vibes, man... and chills all over. Love!
Me too!
The final performance on this one is my new favorite Orbital track.
Thanks for uploading j . Inspectional 👊🏻
Best modular videos on the internet. Hands down.

oh definitely!
My wallet struggles with your channel. This sounds so good!
My favourite part was when you introduced the unz and twisted the spinfamboozler while modulating the glubap from the bleepdibloop
Oh most dootifunooy
Sounds great and then some great sequences influences Modular is too fantastic .. :D Took me right back
, Great video ... thnx a lot
Great jam! I love hearing vocals in modular jams. Also Metron video? Pwease 😁
Great performance ! Good job !
Pretty dope man, I dig it!.
Dope.
What's dope is hearing your name in a what happened? video. Small but cool world.
A little P. Gabriel vibe in the vocals, very nice.
The Performance was the best part...
You make me wanna fire up my modular 😊👍

Its a 4MS pod with Acid Rain Maestro and 3 Acid Rain Navigators
@@RedMeansRecording thank you :)

Jeremy youre the best!
The synth wizard strikes again
A lot of great envelop generator modules in this case (4?) and additional expanders.
I think of zadar as a complex modulation generator

true zero fm don't mind if I do

yeah man !
pure techno machine
This is like a better take on everything Generate 3 had going on.
yeah, definitely shares some dna with that
ya, might sell my gen 3 for this....maybe

After I talked with the maker they revised the hardware so that would be possible. In the unit I had to demo it wasn't.
@@RedMeansRecording Thank you :) Sorry I never saw this until now but I'm considering it again.
Double thumbs up.
the recording do be looking red in this video
If your goal was to make me move...it did!
hey J when i send gates or envs in my TZ input i get pitch changes and not the effect youre getting. what am i doing wrong?
Sick

that's all done in post.
@@RedMeansRecording Ahh, that makes sense. Thanks. I know this was about the Operat, but that Metron...
Is the final Jam available for download or streaming somewhere?

Acid rain Navigators
Multiple flavors of PWM . Done . Christ I’m worse than Nick Batt 🤣
anyone know the module depth of Operat?
I love the vocals! This whole track reminds me of a group called Au4 (which is good, they made killer tunes).
At 27:15, what is that small keyboard?
Modwave
20:58 I made the stank face

you dont want to know. i dont want to know
Hi Jeremy, i understand. Then what would the cost of the Patching Panda OPERAT and Moon phase cost. Thanks.
if you have to ask, welp
