    An important note - I mentioned in the video that I additionally spray my CLOTH masks with alcohol. You don't want to spray the surgical masks as it might compromise the coating. I was accidentally holding a surgical mask while talking then switched to the cloth one to demo - so don't want to create confusion. Thank you to those who pointed this out!

    Keeping your teeth brushed very frequently and using strong mouthwash helps kill bacteria in the mouth to aid in bacteria born moisture blowing back to the face. This has helped me a lot with my acne prone skin and mask wearing.

    Contacted Cerave a while back and they confirmed SA Cleanser is 0.5% salicylic acid. Inkey List is more upfront which is nice so at least you know right from the packaging it’s 2% :)

    • @playitlouda
      @playitlouda 4 роки тому

      and why

    • @PenguinDownload
      @PenguinDownload 4 роки тому +10

      playitlouda Well they’re both different in their approach since Cerave is more dry skin friendly while Inkey is better for oily complexions. Personally I prefer Cerave’s if I have to use an SA wash because I’m really sensitive to stronger cleansers. For my BHA needs I prefer leave-on products like the paula’s choice exfoliants.

    Another skin condition that can be related to mask wearing is angular cheilitis. It occurs in one or both corners of the mask and can be painful, itchy, and cause cracking of the skin. I have developed medium to large size bumps under my eye! So irritating and even at rest I can feel them. Cuz I’m going out everyday. There is no rest! That’s ok! This was so so helpful. I would love to try the patches at home and the salicylic wash maybe? I’m affaires to try the benzoid peroxide! Options are great. Pls if you have other advises let me know, I thank you from bottom of my heart🙏🏼❤️ stay safe, stay positive, and stay strong 🙏🏼❤️

I wear it a lot and now i have clusters on my chin and cheek and their cystic but no one is saying that they are getting cystic ones. Is it just me? Is it the mask or hormonal? Idk what to do

    Thank you so much for this video! My chin and cheek area has been breaking out and I noticed more irritation after wearing a mask! I wasn't sure what was going on. I have tried a few different types of masks but I am going to take some of your product suggestions to help relieve my skin. Many Thanks!

      Keeping your teeth brushed very frequently and using strong mouthwash helps kill bacteria in the mouth to aid in bacteria born moisture blowing back to the face. This has helped me a lot

    I love love love the FAB arnica mask. Another good balm for dealing with irritation in addition to the ones you mentioned, I like the Skinfix Eczema+ Dermatitis Face Balm.

    Hi Renee, can you make a video for rosacea prone skin one day? Our skin couldnt tolerate preservatives and product with high humectant, thus its difficult for us to find a good product. i myself personally find comfort in facial oil but its just not enough. Even after washing with just plain water twice a day, our skin feels dry and stripped.

    I'm a stay and home Mom and now more than ever I almost never go out and when I do, the mask really irritated the skin on my chin so I'm taking better care and using salicylic 2% BHA Paula's Choice at night

    Thank you from a healthcare worker. Along with mask acne I get irritation along my forehead with the face shields. Will try these!

      Thank YOU! Offering tips is seriously the least I can do - I really hope they can help ease the discomfort. Perhaps for your forehead apply some cicaplast, balm that might protect your skin without causing it to slip and slide around.

    I’ve been using face masks for work for 6 years and I never realized it is the mask causing the acne on my chin and the dermatitis. I’ve been using panoxyl to dry up my acne and hydrocort for the dermatitis.

    Great advice on skincare! But please do not spray alcohol on a surgical mask, it will ruin the mask's filtering power.
