@@gothamista Hi there I'm a guy 37 with the same skin type (dehydrated by harsh product, or over exfoliation, and irritated sensitive skin. Combo in the cheeks dry in forehead t zone and oily in nose where only area I get blackheads while cheeks only slightly oily. So far without a professional derm although I would love don't have the money so its trial and error, so having your advice is awesome and so far from experience I like licarice root salicic acid alantoin and tee tree off the top of my head . I will subscribe if you get back to me with some suggestions. I'm interested in trying a pha exfoliate for daily radiance and dead skin cell debris removal as I had before although successful unsuccessful sometimes as mechanical silicone brushes can be damaged by different thicker non gel or granule cleansers hence wanting a daily chemical exfoliant as pha12% or dermalogica's daily refoliant could work post cleanser normally or before the cleanser for my skin type then tonic moisturizer spf sunscreen (from daily exfoliate) with lastly maybe a spot treatment and hydroxitone or eye cream. Some things like moisturizer are new to me as I don't like to have alot of products on my skin rather a light custom noncomedogenic liquid, serum, clay, or cream usually in that order of thickness. Hate when my cheeks are dehydrated or else looking like strawberries

I never really bothered researching what LED does for your skin since I thought it mainly targeted wrinkles and signs of ageing, but when you explained how it can help with inflammation, skin tone and texture I was sold - thank you!
And you bet that I ordered the Isntree green tea toner right after I saw your Instagram post about using green tea before your red light therapy treatment - still waiting for that parcel from yesstyle to arrive though.

I also use SPF every day, so I already had the combo with Vit C in my routine. I have the PC Azelaic booster, so I’ll try to incorporate that in after my Vit C on any PIE. I also find using my PC BHA in combo with my Vit C (always LAA formulations) works very well for acne or brightening.

I have a huge confusion. All of the people says that always dampen your skin before applying your skincare product because it helps them get into your skin. But at the same time, I always hear and read that skin must be dry before applying any actives like vitamin c, aha, bha and retinol and also, they must come right after cleansing. So my actual question is if I don't dampen my skin, and directly apply the actives after the cleansing process (of course, after drying without leaving any single drop of water over my face), so will it cause dehydration even if I apply Hyaluronic acid or Sodium Hyaluronate serum later in my skincare routine, will the other ingredients go deep in my skin????

I have every ingredient you talk about, my biggest issue in general is the order. Between VitC/AzAc and AzAc/Ret, Niacinimide, even AlphaArb and everything else...when it’s in “toner/essence form or even oil or cream it’s so much easier to choose, but man these serums are tripping me up!

Renee you briefly mentioned in your Light Salon BOOST LED Face Mask video, that you cleaned it with alcohol. Could you tell me exactly how you are doing that? Are you diluting the alcohol, and spraying the mask? I finally unboxed mine and, want to make sure I don't damage it by cleaning it wrong. Help, lol. Thanks! :)

    • @gothamista

I felt exactly the same way haha! I put the alcohol on a cloth/paper then wipe the mask down. I was told not to spray it directly onto the mask!
