Brian "Head" Welch, founding member and lead guitarist of nu metal band Korn, is a walking miracle. He lived the rock 'n' roll lifestyle and was heavily addicted to meth. A divine encounter with Christian investors transformed his life.
They invited Brian to church. At first, he was hesitant in part due to stereotypes attributed to Christians. But as he began to delve into who Jesus is and what it means to have a personal relationship with Him, Brian started to find purpose in his life.
Today, Brian regularly shares about the transformative power of Christ!

Me and my little brother met "Head" back in 09. I always grew up a Korn fan, so I KNEW who he was. I had always believed in God, but I've fallen short because the FLESH IS WEAK. It's not easy out here. We knew he was a born again Christian. The way we met Brian was pretty crazy. I was 13 and my little brother Jacob was 9. I remember him so bad wanting to meet Brian. Well, me and Jacob went outside at some point before the show and I noticed an individual walking by in a black hoodie. I saw the dreads, so I thought I'd call out. I did. Brian turned around and said "what's up guys"? He took a picture with me and my brother and talked to us for a minute. It was... such a cool experience for us! Later that night, he played an AMAZING show!! He even let my little brother strum his guitar while he was holding the chords down. Thanks Brian, I really hope you continue your solo band Love & Death! Your SOLO fans have NEVER 4gotten you!
This testimony really blessed my life. I can feel the love of God though brother Brian!
I'm not into religion but I am a huge fan of korn and listening to Brian find his way back to his path is amazing and I respect that.
I think what he said about his daughters mother says alot about him.

His testimony has single-handedly changed my life I love Korn and I love Brian his testimony has brought me do much closer to God. I never get tired of hearing from him.
I remember years back when I first heard Brian’s testimony I was so touched.
Growing up in the 90s & early 2000’s, I remember the band Korn even though the music was not my cup of tea. I started to really follow him after the turnaround. I remember when his book “Save Me From Myself” first came out, I bought a few and was giving it away to those that knew him back when he was in Korn. The change in this man’s life was truly no accident. God will continue to use him for as long as he lives.
Man I was a huge Fan of Korn in my teens and when I heard that head got saved it was on a Calvary Chapel mag with pictures of his baptism. Recently converting myself I thought man I was playing metal and Head was too and God got him and he can reach into this world that seems impossible to reach. God is good and this testimony is part of my life as Korn was a huge influence on me.
I am in my 50’s too Thank God that he knows who Jesus is.. have watched him also with Todd White, really good check it out on You Tube.. I found Jesus at 15 at Manhattan Beach in 1980🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I definitely think Brian did the right thing. Get off the drugs and accepting Christ into his life. I think that’s one of the coolest things and you are a inspiration to me.

reach out to him ,pour your heart out to him and talk with him as if you are talking to a natural person because he loves you and he is listening. Take it from me, I wasn't always saved but God came into my heart and I have been serving him ever since. I am coming from a long long very very very long way of sin and shame. God has changed me

I'm no a drug addict but I am a bpd in recovery and my god what he says about wanting to not wake up and his kid being all that kept him going but not feeling good enough for them. Woo wee I felt that. I still feel that way from time to time. I will never give up on them though. Korn's music has gotten me through so much, and at times it still does. It did at 14 and it does now at 34. I am not a christian but I know God now. I am a hindu. People don't understand metal or korn's music. They think it's dark and depressing. But on the contrary when I'm down and out it lets me know someone else out there feels the same as me. Issues from start to finish sums up how I sometimes feel. Once I get the self loathing and ego tripping out of my system I come back stronger than I was before. Thank you to Brian for sharing his story. I only wish my son's dad could find strength and recover from his meth use. He used to sing in a band that traveled all over the south east and can sound EXACTLY like jonathan davis. 🤣 First time I heard him he did "twist" and once I asked him to sing to our son when I was pregnant, he started singing "y'all want a single" obviously that's not what I had in mind! Lol

Today’s my first day clean from a demon substance called tianeptine. I thought it would help me being off opes and speed myself, but it ended up being even worse then both of those combined. Watching this is helping me. Please pray for me that I make it to the other side... I’m tired of fighting everything in the world alone, and deciding to give my heart to the Lord today, for the rest of my life.

Warchild tianeptine was the worst substance I ever had to WD from, the leg pain was so bad, I have melas syndrome so was trying to find pain relief, I’m not lying I’ve called it a demon substance many times as well it’s literally the devil, worst WD of any drug, I now take morphine for my pain and is much better, but I want to give you hope, I got off of it January 2nd 2017, I did have to go the hospital cause I was going to kill myself but it’s definitely possible, the worst days are 1-7 after that it starts to get better, just make sure you get off please, it destroyed my dopamine and opiate receptors permenatley
It gives me chills just thinking about it and it was over 2 years ago

I love watching Brian speak on his story.I wish I had his strength.On the few days a week I can manage to stay sober I am unable to feel any joy in life.Depression follows my active addiction.The struggle of addiction robs your soul of life and I wish all would find their peace in this very broken world.
We are praying for you. Addiction is such a tough battle to fight alone. We pray that you would lean into the peace of Jesus and allow Him to fight this battle alongside you. He can do infinitely more than we can alone. We pray that the binds of addiction and depression would break away in Jesus' name.

I'm in my 60s & have been a huge Korn fan for many years. Have always been drawn to Metal & Alt Rock. It's how the guitars & drums combine to make this music that's full of pure emotion that I feel many other genres lack.
When I learned that Brian & Fieldy were both Christians, became an even bigger fan. Brian's testimony & reading his books have had a big impact on me. I can see how much his life has changed. In spite of the wealth & fame, he is still humble, approachable & kind. His strong & mature faith had made him a powerful witness for Jesus to many who would not otherwise be reached.
I love stories like this. God really is the answer.

I was hooked on drugs including meth since my teenage years by my adult years I finally quit after 4 of my friends died. it's never too late Brother accept Jesus into your heart

Took me a moment to get what kind of show this is. I don't mean I'd have anything against this, it just took a moment and I was thinking why it started sounding so irrelevant. I was just waiting for utter raw facts about the music scene, addiction etc. For me as a foreigner I don't get why you sugarcoat the facts so much. But hands up for Brian, it's not the easy road you chose, but it's the one for the truly strong and brave. And yet I do not share this religion with you, I know there's absolutely nothing glorious in making music while taking drugs, or vice versa. I've seen something and heard too much, it's a world that can eat you alive. I respect you for talking about your experiences, also keep taking your meds if you find them helpful. There's always someone ready to tell how your spirituality should be enough, but rarely they know nothing about brain chemistry. If it serves you, do it. You've already stopped doing something that doesn't serve you. I wish you serene and creative years, many of them.

Brian, I was in Sunday School from a tender age at the time when my parents were saved...I sang in the church choir, played the piano and later formed the church band...one day I ventured outside forming a cover band and decided to conquer the world but instead the world conquered me...that led me to sex drugs and rocknroll to such an extent that huge rock stars may have never been to...your testimony is amazing and I envy you in what God has done for you...my dad was a pastor and I was raised and given the best christian education that one can possibly have...I can't feel what you feel, I think God has better things to do then wasting his time on a loser like ME...I'm talking to you and I'm out of my bracket on coke...I'm 56, have a 3 year old boy and I feel I'm gonna die anytime...I drink and snort like never seen before...I am a walking miracle because I have smoked crack and snorted coke for 35 years...still standing but I doubt it will be for much longer...I feel that I am one of God's rejects...Love from South Africa...Tony...!
Hi. I'm also a pastor's kid. I was also living a wayward life, but haven't done anything to your extent. However I've also had that feeling of being too broken to be of any use to God. But God pursues you relentlessly. Just accept that He loves you, and whatever you've done, He has forgiven you. I hope you find the grace to surrender to God one of these days.

Do whatever you want, and he will have rights to your soul. But if you want protection from him, just seek the one true God. Once you do, like Head said, there is no doubt you KNOW when His Holy Spirit comes into your body. Only a fool would deny something isn't real without seeking to find it first. Here's a tidbit. At the precise moment of death, a person's weight drops 3/4 of a pound. That is your spirit LEAVING your Earthly body. True story. There is the proof right there. Seek, please. It's free, and you have nothing to lose. But be prepared for the ride of your life!!! 🌞
