Absolutely beautiful and creative designs even for quilters using a domestic machine. Thank you so much, Kate. It was a great way to spend an hour of my time.
Hi Dottie-I do most of my education content in regular domestic machines. It is important to piece well and manage seam intersection as best you can before getting to the quilting part. It can be a challenge but good pressing, a seam mallet and choosing designs that go around large seam knots can be very helpful. You can also raise you foot slightly to get around a trouble spot but this is a pain for me too.
I don’t have a video showing that but this link is one that shows Leonie West cutting out hers. It is near the end of the video. ua-cam.com/video/7ezUEkftNSk/v-deo.html
One hour thirteen minutes of pure enjoyment. Thank you Kate.

Thanks-I appreciate your kind comments too :)
This was a previously recorded event due to the Superbowl. Please add any questions here if you would like me to respond. Thanks-K
So cute.
Love, love, love those simple designs! 💕💕💕
Thank you Kate! Love these ideas.
Breathtaking. I’m ready
I love your attitude Sue!
Hello, greetings from Norway 😄
Hi Lise-thanks for watching
Hi from Ohio, I don’t have a long arm, but interesting anyway.
These designs can also be done in a domestic. Movement is different but ruler placement is the same.
Do you know where we can find that wonderful stencil?
I made them. I am fine tuning them but it will be a set of three in different sizes. It should be available soon.
I love these rulers but I get tripped up using them on patchwork. Should I be using them on the solid backing?
I mean on a regular machine, not a long arm.

I don’t always use a solid or 1 piece backing but it the quilt is full of seams that may help.
Thanks for the advice! I learn and practice on whole cloth quilt sandwiches and I do fine, but once I get to my patchwork it's a little tricky.
Do the templates com all the way from Australia when we order?
No-although the designer Leonie West is from Australia, the templates are made in Eugene OR and sold by Sew Steady products. They are made in the US.
Hi. This is a little off topic for this video… do you have a video showing how to cut out the fabric once a design with templates/rulers is completed?
Do you mean like when doing raw edge or Templee appliqué style. If your answer is yes, I can try to find one.
I think so. You mentioned it in your August 18, 2020 video.
I will search for it then. The date is helpful!
