These 3 musicians are so different from each other. But seeing them together jamming and making music is magical. And after seeing this whole documentary I really got a different look at each of them. Specially Jack White.
Three great guitarists of three different generations, honoring the great, the late Mr. Robbie Robertson. May his songs and memory be a blessing for ever. To Mr. Robertson's family, friends and fans, my condolences on his passing. To Jack White, great job singing this song. You rocked it! Thanks for posting this video. Kind regards!

What is the problem with that? You can't determine how good a song is based on it's difficulty to play. This is by far the best cover I heard of this song, I actually like it better than the original. Guitar part is very good, Jack Whites vocal is amazing, and I think Jimmy's solo sound awesome. Still hung up on this song, since I watched the movie :)
In the interest of full disclosure, I am one of those people who has become so annoyed with Bono that even seeing him at this point is like nails on a chalkboard. Don’t get me wrong, in the 80s, 90s, and early 00‘s, he was as good of a frontman/vocalist as anyone not named Freddie Mercury or Robert Plant. So it’s not like I just deny the talent and accomplishments. Having said that.. I genuinely feel bad for Edge. He is undeniably one of the most influential and groundbreaking musicians of the second half of the 20th century. But I feel like because he’s intrinsically grouped together with Bono, people disrespect or don’t appreciate just how incredible he is as a musician. I don’t get the hate for him at all since most of it is rooted in how people feel about Bono. That’s why I feel bad for Edge.
Yeah, originally Jimmy was going to do the second verse (about "Carmen and the devil"), but that's when Robert Plant popped out of the sound hole in Jimmy's guitar, slapped him in the face, and told him to stay the fuck away from his daughter. So of course they had to start the whole song over again with Jack singing that verse.
@@cacildoneto5090 I'm Logan. A dude who understands that the word "best" in relation to guitar playing does not apply to Edge. Especially when he's in a room with Jimmy Page, who is better. You may love U2. Hell, I like U2. But this isn't close. In the conversation of "best" guitarists, edge doesn't make the list. But you didn't stop there. He's the "best" at everything. Cooking? Kickboxing? Calculus? Yep. Edge all around.
There's an alternate universe out there where Bono never answered that ad and U2 went on to be a three piece. Probably not as successful, but also probably not as much of a punching bag either.
Have anybody wonder why from all the songs in the world they played THAT song? I find that really hard to understand. And the fact hat they are using accoustics instead of electrics, playing a rather-country song instead of their rock roots. I wish I could why they picked that song. Anybody knows?
Joe, haven’t you ever heard of The Band? They toured for 8 years before they gained fame, then were the only band to back up Bob Dylan. Their music is iconic. Please watch The Last Waltz, and get back to us.
I respect these guys (esp. Page and White) immensely, but they could have made a more creative arrangement of the song than this....I mean all 3 of them playing open chords in the beginning??
something very, very special about Jacks voice
Man I wish we could here the whole song uninterrupted. The Band’s best song performed acoustic by legends.
So we're saying cripple creek isnt the best song? Lol

This is unbelievable.
What a great version of a great song.
I didn't know the Edge could sing lead so well
