You know you can use a sim ejection tool and remove the ear cup from the head band so you don’t have deal with the APMs throughout the battery replacement process 😊
Thx Joes, I am from Malaysia shipped ur replacement batteries from my relatives in Canada. Followed every steps so far it worked. Need to monitor the battery discharge cycle and give a good review. Just I am have an unusual speaker crack sound after the replacement of battery tried tightening all screws again still it’s there. Did you receive this complaint any suggestion?
I have been resetting my max for a few weeks since last update. It stopped resetting today. Fully charged I was wondering if I can pull the battery cable and reconnect it after an hour to see if they come back or replace the Bluetooth board.

Is it possible to mix different earcups from other pairs of APMs? Like taking a green pair’s R cup with a black’s L cup and connecting them via the headband
Wow, that’s interesting… How would they show up on the iPhone pairing screen? As the R cup’s color or the L one? What happens to the serial number of the device? 😯
@@Mollyperrita I imagine the side with the battery houses the chip that stores this info so that one determines the name firmware and settings and the other side is a slave but I could be wrong
In other teardown videos, they show a layer of glue sealing the speaker cover. But your teardown has no glue between the aluminium housing and speaker cover. Please can you verify which version of the Airpods Max you have. Is it a later manufactured batch that use no glue? Thank you
It is more of a tape than a glue, but regardless it looks like it was removed before the filming of this video. All Airpod max headphones will have the adhesive.
Hi! My AirPods Max stopped working idk why, when I try to pair them with my phone the orange light only flashes and does not turn white. I was (even though I don't like Apple) briefly considering buying this one when I saw how easily it can be unscrewed. But when I saw what all needs to be done to get to the battery, it was clear to me that I didn't want it after all. Why do they make it as difficult as possible for customers to repair things themselves? I won't spend money on products that are intended to be single-use items.
Companies purposely make them difficult to repair so you'll buy a new one. It's super lame. Luckily we are willing to do the dirty work and make sure you get your moneys worth out of your electronics
@@Joesge I was willing to do this for a long time too, but not anymore. I simply can't accept it. If the government doesn't intervene and prevent mass waste production by forcing manufacturers to make things repairable, then I will just buy cheap stuff from China that I can simply throw away and buy new when something is wrong with it. This really annoys me. Ideally, I'd like to spend 400 to 800 euros once on really good headphones and keep them for the rest of my life. I also don't understand why they can't create 10, 20, or for all I care, 30 standardized form factors for batteries that manufacturers must use. To put an end to this battery hell once and for all. There are millions of different batteries. What's the point of that?
