I love Bob Dylan. He is a hero of the human condition. He "saved"me with his words when I was but a young teenaged girl struggling to understand the world we live in. All these 50 years later I fear the world is mired in squabbles and power struggles between the "elite" that will never end, leaving the rest of us to fend for ourselves together however best we can, even as they try to tear is apart. His songs, even this one, maybe especially this one, as personal as it is intended to be, give me the strength to continue living in hope there will be a brighter day for humankind.
You keep goin girl bob and the rest of us are right there with you.... I overheard a girl on a bus saying she'd started listening to Dylan and I was overcome with jealously.

I’m in the same club, brother. This album came out in 74-75, my college freshman year. I “played the grooves” out of it” (figuratively) and still have it. A true masterpiece. As you know, another great track from the album is “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome…”. There is a great cover of it by Shawn Colvin. I recommend it. Cheers and good wishes to you…JT
This feels like Dylan's peace offering at the end of a tumultuous album. I think this is what happens when you're as invested in love and hate and everything in between as Bob was.
My dear friend Josh was singing this for me in the south of China, two months later in Beijing, in 1986. Later in Ghent, Belgium. We met again in Tokyo. Coincidence! One of the best songs and albums ever
I like the cool way you look at me. Dylan will forever stand above the rest. Touches something deep within us
After rain and the right balance of light and dark always comes 🌈🎶🌈😊 a timeless classic and lesson in love
Oh my love Bob Dylan ❤️ Elizabeth I love you so much darling 💕💕💕 Blessings
I'll be here ❤
Blood on the Tracks is definately my favourite Dylan album
Bravo, Bob, this will endure, like many of your poems sung with heart
Bob was such an enabler for legions of other artists
Another powerful album from Bob a product of pain and heartbreak.
I would have shown you how love its is a word but the act is sweet.
Bones brought me here...love this song
I played this when I fell in love with my abuse ex. Now I'm trying to reclaim it as a song for me.
Masterpiece! Nuff said.
Bob Dylan speaks to that part of me that needs a mother or father, or both. When I have a problem and don’t know what to do, I turn to his music. The melody and his gentle voice takes me to a higher place.
dont u think guitar fingerpicking parts or licks are so underrated ?
Somehow the notes ring and are muted at the same time. The bass is also super key. It play around the guitar.
Yes...

@@tjmcdonald4747 wanna great baseline? Try Savoy brown, lost and lonely child.enjoy
@@iansing5278 How does he get this sound? Is it an acoustic with all metal strings instead of nylon or what? It's beautiful, but how do you do that?
Brings back so many memories!!
I remembered hearing this tune from a 2011 Cameron Crowe movie which was We Bought A Zoo.
I wish I could write just one line as good as Dylan writes by the thousands.
Beautiful tune
