    I have the Durgod Hades, Anne Pro 2, Pok3r, and Ducky One 2 Mini SF and the Hades is the best BY FAR. I got mine with Cherry Pinks and once they broke in it is seriously the smoothest most satisfying typing experience I’ve ever had. The sound deadening inside makes a huge difference and the stabs are the best of the 4 by a mile. This is seriously a board that makes you crave reasons to type something. Aside from the typing feel, my favorite feature is that the software allows you to modify the base layer (only software that can as far as I know) so I was able to change the 4 keys on the right edge to whatever I wanted without having to hold the function buttons (I went with Del, PrtScn, Home and End). The LEDs are also brighter than the other three and diffuse more evenly due to the silver backplate. White backplates reflect in a sharp light pattern that leaves dim spots all over the keyboards and black backplates reduce the light output by at least half.
    I seriously never thought I’d find my endgame in a prebuilt, especially one that only costs $100, but I can’t think of a single thing I’d change about it. People will say the ABS keycaps are a downside but if you’re an enthusiast you’re going to replace them in the first week anyway so Durgod actually was smart to use ABS and save us money up front since we’re just going to trash the stock keycaps regardless of what they’re made of. I can’t wait for the Taurus to make it stateside after everything blows over in China so I can grab one with Box Jade switches. I’ve always thought that clicky switch boards sounded cheap but I believe the features of this chassis will lead to a super fun pure typing board.
    I know I’ve gone on too long already but if you’re still reading and considering a Durgod board, check out HK Gaming’s Instagram and Twitter. They’re the company behind Durgod and their honestly, constant updates, and general willingness to interact with owners and potential buyers has really impressed me. They’ll happily tell you every detail about development and shipping/release schedule if you ask them. It gives them a nice small business vibe that you just don’t get from a Ducky or Vortex and makes me WANT to support them. Probably explains why I’m taking time out of my day to write this lol.

      Coco LeFou Cherry silent reds

    • @sEaNoYeAh
      @sEaNoYeAh 4 роки тому

      How are the Silent Reds compared to regular Reds? I hear conflicting information. Some people say they're same just quiet, some people notice the shorter travel which is fine for me, some people say they're mushy.
      Also the Anne Pro 2 software also lets you change anything on the base layer. For the longest time I had one with the shift cluster set up as permanent arrow keys for example, not tap.
      I'm choosing between Ducky One 2 SF and the Hades 68 atm. Thought I had decided on the Ducky because ISO UK, but Durgod offers so much, and the new ones are gonna come with PB caps, and they're even doing ISO this year so I'll be able to get a proper UK layout. Kinda seems like Durgod is just gonna be better than Ducky in every way.

    • @blueridge8992
      @blueridge8992 4 роки тому +1

      GhostSamurai what I’ve gathered is that the silent reds Durgod uses are the ones manufactured with revised tooling from Cherry and they’re also pre-lubed along with the stabs. As far as non-clicky switches, I own boards with last-gen cherry reds, Gat reds and lubed yellows, box browns and blacks, and even lubed KBT reds so I THOUGHT that I was plenty familiar with the differences. I got the Hades to use only as a late night gaming board thinking the silent reds would be mediocre, gritty, mushy, wobbly, etc. I just wanted a linear silent switch in a metal chassis for a decent solid feeling board that was quiet.
      TURNS OUT they’re the best feeling non-clicky switches I’ve ever used, and I even have a 3x3 macropad with Turquoise Tealios so that’s saying a lot. They’re so smooth that it feels like typing with the stems submerged in baby oil, not even exaggerating. They have zero wobble, the bases are crystal clear so the LED shines through perfectly, and the actuation force feels closer to Gat yellows than regular Cherry Reds: medium weight and completely linear. I’m a switch nerd (if you can’t tell) so I can feel the difference in the travel, however it’s just slightly shorter (feels like 1mm maybe) and that’s actually been feeling better when I’m gaming. The bottom out on the switches is like hitting very firm rubber so it feels good. It’s not like that mushy or bouncy feeling you get when using even the stiffest O-rings on your keycaps.
      The thing that has impressed me most is the sound. I was prepared to be disappointed after listening to other silent red boards on UA-cam but those must have been low sensitivity mics because they all just sounded nearly silent. However, what I’m getting on my Hades is the holy grail of keyboard sounds: TOCK TOCK TOCK. It’s certainly lower volume than a regular switch but the deeper tone makes it absolutely perfect to my ears. The best is the space bar. It gives you the sharp THUMP that I had only ever heard in TaeKeyboards videos.

      Ninjaboogs09 Since I wrote that comment Durgod has upgraded the keycaps on the Hades to doubleshot PBT so I don’t think they need to be upgraded now.

    Got mine about a week ago and I'm still loving it. Received two defective Ducky One 2 Minis so I decided to try something new, and I'm really glad I did. The single thing I think Ducky does better is their customization, the on board customization on Ducky's boards is better than Hera imo, but that's probably almost entirely just preference. Both are amazing boards, it would be hard to pick between them, but for the stabilizers alone I think I like the Venus more. The stabilizers are amazing on this board. Not to mention the extra switch options which might be enough to sell many people, though I just went with MX Browns.

      I had a GK61 and one of my hot swap sockets went bad after 3 switch swaps, ruining the whole PCB. Really turned me off of hot swap boards. I mean, switch testers are only like $15 and with Mech Market existing you’re never really stuck with a board if you get tired of the switches (also, soldering in new switches is WAY easier than it looks and actually a pretty fun project) so I don’t see a need to pay extra for hot swap sockets. They’re really more of a gimmick for people new to the hobby like I was when I bought mine lol.

      @@blueridge8992 How's your experience desoldering / soldering on pre-builts? I'm looking towards modding my One 2 Mini and swapping to lubed gat blacks / tangerines, but I'm afraid I might damage the PCB.

    • @blueridge8992
      @blueridge8992 4 роки тому

      208Tsuna oh it’s easy dude. I’ve done 3 customs and also replaced the switches in my MK Disco and I didn’t notice any difference in difficulty between them. If anything, the custom builds were more difficult overall since you’re starting from scratch. The most important thing is to get a decent quality digital soldering STATION (way better than a standalone iron) with adjustable temperature. Don’t bother with the cheapo desoldering tool they usually include. Instead get yourself a decent solder sucker (aka desoldering pump) and some desoldering wick. I said “decent” for both because you don’t need super expensive stuff, just not the cheapest. A $40-60 soldering station and a $15-20 solder sucker from Amazon is all good. Before you even touch your keyboard grab any broken electronics you can find and practice desoldering and resoldering components on its PCB until your comfortable. Like I said before, it’s easy so you can get proficient in like 20 minutes tops and doing your keyboard actually gets easier as you go since you’re repeating the same thing like 60 times. I was a soldering pro by halfway through lol.

    • @Sagi-chan
      @Sagi-chan 4 роки тому

      For me getting a good quality soldering station is definitely on the difficult side as it cost quite a lot. China made stations are a lot cheaper such as yihua. Although they are starting to make their own stuff instead of cloning, I was still unsure of their quality. In the end, I chose kbdfans cases which usually comes with hotswap pcb and just fit in my switches.

      @@md.imamulislam7 Yes I do have a drop alt because I wanted a nicer hot swap board at 65% to experiment with switches and get a better feel for mechanical before I dropped $600+ on my endgame board. The keyboard snob was a tongue in cheek joke about it, my mistake it flew right over your head.
      So sorry that that your elitism was hurt by this comment.

    • @md.imamulislam7
      @md.imamulislam7 4 роки тому +2

      Not elitism. Alt and Ctrl are just overhyped. You can probably get better boards at the same price. Alt has north-facing switches with trememdously bad PCB design. I'd say, KBDFans DZ60RGB is a better board for the price. Or the NK65. If you like Alt, no problem with it. But there are better boards with better quality of PCB within that price bracket. That's all.

    • @Knux0r
      @Knux0r 4 роки тому

      @@md.imamulislam7 See if you would have responded with this instead of dRoP aLtS aRe ShIt we could have an actual conversation.
      I agree with everything you said, however I got the Alt as a present and it was my first foray into Mechanicals, so I didn't know much then. Even with that said it has it's place and isn't the worst thing ever.
      The NK65 is really the only thing now I would consider over it in it's price range. Sure you can cheaply make a DZ60RGB but as a first keyboard, it's a bit daunting.
      Now I know a lot more. I am on the hunt for the switch I like most and will be building a board later this year with the new GMK Hero keyset that is in group buy now.
      Still have to figure out the case, board, and switches but the Alt is really helping with the switches.

    • @md.imamulislam7
      @md.imamulislam7 4 роки тому

      I do hope NK65 sets a trend of having a decent board at an affordable price that focuses on doing things right. Alts are great for a first board. It provides a gentle start to the wonders of QMK, and gives the options to try out different switches. But, I still think it focuses on RGB instead of the basics. DZ60 is daunting to the US market because of shipping. Some great boards show up in group buys, but, I don't expect beginners to check out Group Buys and endure a 9 month long waiting period to get a board.

    If you're looking between these two and need to use it on a mac, you have to go durgod. Ducky Mecha Mini most likely will not work on your mac, which is a known issue. It's 'limited support' but even in house, they said they've mostly not had luck getting them working on macs.

    I currently have the Durgod Venus and I love this board but have 2 big problems. My RGB after awhile begins to stutter during color shift. If I unplug and reconnect it this fixes it. Second and the biggest issue I have is that the keyboard just freezes at random times. I have tried different cables and different usb ports and it still happens. If I again disconnect and reconnect it fixes itself but this has happened numerous times. This is a huge disappointment as like I stated I love this board but nothing can excuse a keyboard that just freezes. I have looked on reddit and other sites and this is a known problem. I emailed the company to try to get a replacement or see if there's anything I can do to fix this and no response (going on 5 days). I just pre-ordered the ducky one 2 mecha mini with hopes of it being as good as this board without any of the problems. I hope this comment helps anyone trying to choose between these 2 boards.

I’ve already got ducky one 2 mini and SF, both MX cherry browns, and wonder whether the Durgod with Gateron Silent brown is more “silent” than a MX cherry brown... I am looking for a more “silent” and “lower-pitch / “deeper” sound compared to the stock MX cherry brown. Thank you!
