This quick and easy watermelon sorbet contains nothing but ripe fruit. It’s sweet (even without added sugar), creamy (even without added fat), slightly icy, and refreshing. Since this sorbet is only made with fruit, it’s vegan (dairy-free, egg-free), grain-free (gluten-free), soy-free, nut-free, and refined sugar-free.
Sorbet is a simple combination of fresh fruit purée or fruit juice, sugar, and other flavoring ingredients. The basic formula is four cups fruit purée to one cup sugar.
So, what if you want to make all-fruit, no-sugar-added sorbet at home? Honestly, taking the sugar out and expecting a smooth, scoopable sorbet is unrealistic. However, there is a way to get around it.

Hi. I think you figured out the correct proportions just right. We are happy you did not think it necessary to add agave or stevia -- or use overly ripe bananas. Good for you. Picking out a sweet watermelon is probably the key. Is there anything special about how you go about picking a watermelon? I do not know much about them. Functional medicine: I have been thinking about pairing frozen water melon with frozen cucumber and some celtic salt -- for hydration and for alkalinity. Both watermelon and cucumber are highly alkaline. I am glad you did this one. Watermelon is underappreciated. Thank you for sharing it.
I really like the combination of watermelon and cucumber. In the summer, I often make watermelon-cucumber-lime water and it's amazing!
@@NutritionRefined Thank you. Really cool. Question: There seem to be three different ways people use the term acid-alkaline. 1) PH paper acidity. 2) the salts that remain in the body after digestion. 3) it is also a term used for structured hexagonal water. Is that how you see it? When I use the term alkaline I am usually talking about the second alkaline salt meaning. But if we juice alkaline fruits and vegetables we also almost always get hexagonal structured water as well as the alkaline salts. This is especially true for organic watermelon and cucumber. Kind of a double-whammy. Do you think structured water is significant?
Yum!
Благодарю ❤️❤️❤️
Very Nice 😍
Thank you so much, Angie!
I dont find your recipe of no knead bread with quinoa and buckweat! Is it deleted? Thanks
I am so sorry for the late reply, Chloe! Nope, not deleted. You can find the recipe on my blog: nutritionrefined.com/buckwheat-quinoa-bread/
Sorbet is just an ice-cream, minus the fat.
as long as u keep the sugar or sweetening agents under control. otherwise yea, fat too.
Could you sub the banana for frozen mango?
Hi Curtis - mango is a bit icier than banana because it has a higher water content, so the sorbet won't be as smooth. It will be icier.
