Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, Halo Reach, Halo 4. Those six games are HALO. Yes, four was good, much better than we all thought at the time it came out. I absolutely adore these games but I have to admit, I don't know what the fuck 343 was thinking when they made part 5.
@@solidarnosc9663 halo 4 had very boring and frustrating gameplay, which is the core element and should be the main focus for any fps. The only good thing about halo 4 is its graphics (not the art style), which held up very well

The intro is simply amazing. I can literally see what happens on screen along with the music and i haven't played the Halo 3 story in a decade at least. Its the kind of thing that makes you shed a manly tear because you know something great follows.
Marty left us this incredible soundtrack that's able to take a lot of us back to a simpler time, brings about some great memories of playing xbox with the boys at your friends place, staying up until the sun came up. I'll never forget how much fun I had playing this game, and the fun times I had with my friends.
I literally felt my body start to ascend. Everything was becoming crystal clear. The memories instantly flooded my mind. My body started to vibrate as I ascended into the heavens. Feeling nothing but relaxation and I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I felt calm. Thank you.
1:09:48 Is the type of music that makes you forget you are even playing a game. Makes you forget about all the problems of the real world as it absorbes you into the story and the universe of Halo.
Usually the lowest note on a violin is a G. In this section the violins had to detune that string a half step lower to an F#. It is a powerful effect, especially given what is going on in the game at the time.
These moments we see the true beauty, the beauty we took for granted. Thank you for making my childhood so memorable. We were truly very lucky to grow up with such a culture. All that is left is our story and our memories.
1:49:18 Takes me back to the golden days of Halo 3. I remember setting up games, joining them, being able to Veto the suggested map and game mode... Golden Age... All of us spartans have gone MIA, we never die
“But you had something they didn't, something no one saw but me. Can you guess? Luck.” Those words always gave me goosebumps as you see Chief crash-land in the jungle.

I didn't get the chance to play Halo 3 until 2018 when I got my Xbox one because we literally couldn't afford one until then, so I never got the magic of playing it as a child though I REALLY wanted to. I was 8 when it came out and I remembered all the kids I went to school with were so excited and talking about it and I only had my Xbox with Halo CE and 2 and that's all I had. Still had fun with it, though I wonder what 8 year old me would have thought.
1:37:26 - Tribute Admiral Hood: "For us, the storm has passed... the war is over. But let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark and did not return. For their decision required courage beyond measure; sacrifice, and unshakable conviction that their fight... our fight, was elsewhere. As we start to rebuild, this hillside will remain barren, a memorial to heroes fallen. They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten." Admiral Hood puts his cap back on and salutes. Gunnery Sergeant Pete Stacker: "Present arms!" Seven Marines, standing in a line, draw their battle rifles and fire three volleys in unison, a three-volley salute to the fallen. The sound of the shots echo through Mount Kilimanjaro. The panorama changes as the Marines fire each shot. Admiral Hood: (To Thel 'Vadam) "I remember how this war started. What your kind did to mine. I can't forgive you. But... (he holds out his hand) you have my thanks, for standing by him to the end." Thel shakes Admiral Hood's hand. Admiral Hood: "Hard to believe he's dead." The Arbiter looks away, toward the Shadow of Intent, hovering silently in the sky. Arbiter: "Were it so easy..." This scene is so powerful, I can hardly put it into any words. Arbiter repeating the same words he said to chief when they had to call each other ally after once being enemies. And now he was friend, lost in the unknown, many thought he died saving humanity and there was nothing they could do to not let his name die in vein, for he is the one that saved him and gave his sacrifice. “Those who sacrifice themselves never know the outcome of their sacrifice, they just have to hope.”
I came here for my favorite track. Glittering band 1:03:50 This one is seared into my brain for just how epic that tone was and the timing of where it is. Just like AAHHH Imma go back and play some H3 rn.
Man, I spent so long playing halo 2 and 3 multiplayer with my friends in university. I only got around to playing the campaigns this year and I was totally blown away. I've read a lot of scifi and the covenant civil war with humanity and the flood was so interesting. The flood attacking high charity was the moment I fell in love with the story.
Halo: CE in so many ways holds the most nostalgia and wonder in my little head. I had the soundtrack CD from 2002 in middle school. But I can't argue how the Halo 3 and ODST soundtracks just hold the throne for the series. Everything started and experienced with in the first 2 games honed to a fine and perfect point.
Killing soundtrack. I personally never had the chance to play Halo, but i just listened to the whole of this vid and now I find it really unfortunate that I never played it. It's so great. Bit repetitive, but still. So epic.
Behold a Pale Horse is probably my favorite new song of the trilogy. 53:05 it holds so much power & feeling. 1:01:47 also packs a nice punch and mixes it up a bit
Hard to believe I was only 13 when this came out and I played it all night until the campaign was over on a school night it was also my birthday good times I will never forget going to my friends house so we can all play halo together, hot Cheetos and Mountain Dew was our diet
They let me pick. Did I ever tell you that? Choose whichever Spartan I wanted. ...you know me. I did my research. Watched as you became the soldier we needed you to be. Man this takes me back. I had all of the Halo Soundtracks growing up. I'd listen to them to and from school on the bus making my own epic adventures in my head. Halo 3's OST is probably my favorite out of all of them!
My friends always make fun of me for listening to video game soundtracks but there's just so much taste in these amazing compositions. How could I not? I should be making fun of them for listening to rap but I know that's really popular among this generation so I can't really say anything other than I just have advanced taste.
To be fair, I started playing Halo 3 when I got MCC (which was 2 months before). I think many would agree with me - the starting music of Halo 3 feels like an ending music for a modern game. And believe me, the Halo 3 ending music WILL MAKE YOU FEEL EVEN BETTER. There is NO other comparison of soundtrack which Halo 3 has, aside all the other Halos.
I wish Marty was around to usher in Halo Infinite. Can you image what new iconic tracks we woulda gotten. I see a lot of Halo youtubers still use his original tracks over the new 343 games which tells you how iconic his tracks were. Even Infinite just remixes a lot of his old stuff
I was only a year old when this came out, however I started playing this game when my brother introduced it to me when I was 6. To this day, Halo 3 will always be my favorite Halo game, and up there with xbox games

Justin Williams I would have to disagree halo ce’s campaign was a bit repetitive, I think halo 2 could of had the edge in campaign over 3 but not multiplayer as goes with reach.
The only good thing about halo 4 is its graphics (not the art style), which held up very well
Listening to Halo soundtracks so I can feel anything again

I was a freshman in highschool when this game came out, it was perfection!
We're never going to feel this from a game again are we?
"Yeah. You're not."
Thank you Bungie.
Same dude. I was a highschool freshman too. The 360 was my family's first console and halo 3 was the first game I played on it. Oooooh my heart 💚🤎💚🤎
"Crazy fool, why do you always jump!? One of these days you're gonna land on something as stubborn as you are, and I don't do bits and pieces."
As a 13 year old I still cry to this soundtrack and Halo 3 today, I remember my dad showed me this game when I was young.Halo 3 was the very first game I played and it will forever be my favorite game of all time to this day, I still even play this game prior to the games great story and memorable soundtrack.
Thank you Bungie.
This stuff gives me the chills and memories of when I first played Halo 3. Memories that I won't be able to relive. The first and last only happen once so cherish your first moments and every moment because who knows, it might be your last.

I often wonder what other big name composers like John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and others think of the Halo soundtrack or if they've even heard of it.
@@sw3aty_forte and hans zimmer himself worked on multiple game projects, namely crysis 2 and modern warfare 2
@@ItsLuminusity I highly doubt that. To get where they are, you need the ability to judge music - of any kind - on its own merits. Pettiness is for lesser men.
@@MegaNerevar huh, so he did songs for two other games from my child hood.

The intro is simply amazing. I can literally see what happens on screen along with the music and i haven't played the Halo 3 story in a decade at least. Its the kind of thing that makes you shed a manly tear because you know something great follows.

This is hands down the best soundtrack to study to.
anthony aleksinski 100% agree.
@@temperament3660 Love the science!

Leer las novelas de halo mientras escuchas estas épicas composiciones....
1:37:26 - Tribute
Admiral Hood: "For us, the storm has passed... the war is over. But let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark and did not return. For their decision required courage beyond measure; sacrifice, and unshakable conviction that their fight... our fight, was elsewhere. As we start to rebuild, this hillside will remain barren, a memorial to heroes fallen. They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten."
Admiral Hood puts his cap back on and salutes.
Gunnery Sergeant Pete Stacker: "Present arms!"
Seven Marines, standing in a line, draw their battle rifles and fire three volleys in unison, a three-volley salute to the fallen. The sound of the shots echo through Mount Kilimanjaro. The panorama changes as the Marines fire each shot.
Admiral Hood: (To Thel 'Vadam) "I remember how this war started. What your kind did to mine. I can't forgive you. But... (he holds out his hand) you have my thanks, for standing by him to the end."
Thel shakes Admiral Hood's hand.
Admiral Hood: "Hard to believe he's dead."
The Arbiter looks away, toward the Shadow of Intent, hovering silently in the sky.
Arbiter: "Were it so easy..."
This scene is so powerful, I can hardly put it into any words.
It is like a gem that is hidden in this world and it only chooses to find you and not the other way around..

Leonidas halo 2
Man, I spent so long playing halo 2 and 3 multiplayer with my friends in university. I only got around to playing the campaigns this year and I was totally blown away. I've read a lot of scifi and the covenant civil war with humanity and the flood was so interesting. The flood attacking high charity was the moment I fell in love with the story.
This game Is 13 years old damn I'm getting old.
So epic.
@Brythonic easy to say, but i don't have the money nor the way to have them safely delivered to me in my country :/
@Brythonic Venezuela, where the minimum wage equals to just over 3 USD :)
plus i don't have the console either so yeah lol

My friends always make fun of me for listening to video game soundtracks but there's just so much taste in these amazing compositions. How could I not?
I should be making fun of them for listening to rap but I know that's really popular among this generation so I can't really say anything other than I just have advanced taste.
They must love the smell of green
And the remixes are nowhere near as good as his pieces. It's an insult to Marty's work. 343 overall did the franchise so... so so dirty.
I was only a year old when this came out, however I started playing this game when my brother introduced it to me when I was 6. To this day, Halo 3 will always be my favorite Halo game, and up there with xbox games
