Ohh man. Halo 3. I fucking LOVED this game. The soundtrack got me into playing music too. This game, well. It holds a special place in my heart. It was the first game I ever played on Xbox 360 and one of the first games I ever played. My brother and I would kick the shit out of the covenant and the flood together. It gave my brother and I a really strong bond back in the day. Oh the good old days.
Do you still play with your brother Harkins, my first ever Xbox game was Halo CE on the OG Xbox. I have been Halo/Xbox fan since 2003 so yeah 15 years and I will always be a fan because Halo 1,2, and 3 is a masterpiece.
Oh, that's cool. I played the OG back in 2001, but that must have been my third or forth game, I started gaming very early so I cannot even remember my first game. Might have been Starcraft on the old 64. But Halo took the cake, has a special place in my heart too. Not sure what your feelings are on the newer games but to me, they don't hold a candle to what Bungie created.
maaaan i finished playing it some weeks ago in pc and it was a blast, wish i played it back in 2007 with a much friendlier community, frecuently added modes&maps and now it just remember all those cool moments like in general how good it looks when a gigantic ship floats avobe you, the scarab fights and the feeling of being the master chief and that nothing...*absolutely nothing can get in your way to save humanity*
Same, this game has become my new standard for video games. Everyone praises the multiplayer and forge, but for me the campaign is when the game is at it's best. Everything is just perfect. And any critisism's I still have like the length and such, can now be fixed with mods.
great to read this..... back in time i played it in 2007, finished the game at least 3-4 times since, and i agree the campaigns of the first three Halo are the really best things in the video game world
It’s amazing how a game from 2007 had better moments and set pieces than the modern halo game. Where in any 343 game is there a moment as cool as the frigate landing above you? Or blowing up a scarab?
1:28:59 Realise there are many great songs on this sound track, but you'll never know how an 18 year old kid felt seeing the trailers for this on TV with the MC walking through a dust bowl towards (what we now know) was the portal to the Ark. "Finish the Fight". I did, more times than you can know, and I enjoyed it every single time.
7 years old I told my mother I would like that game for Christmas, Never expected her to actually get it for me. She got it for me the day it came out. She brought it home I’d just finished school. It was a beautiful summers day, the sun beaming in my little English town. I drew the curtains in my living room. Put the disc in. And played. Full with contentment. One of my earliest memory’s.
Many years ago a young me played this all night on my birthday my 13th, 6 hours of legandary up all night went to school the next day and fell asleep in every class, I was resting so when I got home I could own more nubs
see this man knows what he's doing the whole halo 3 ost is the best of the ost, all of it's songs fit the parts they're put in most, bungie is by far one of the game companies who did the best job with an ost, every song has it's uniqueness even if it's similar, it feels like the song is meant for one specific thing and tells a story by just listening to the song.
"They let me pick, did i ever tell you that? Choose wichever spartan i wanted, like the others you were strong, and swift, and brave, but you had somthing the others didint, somthing no one saw, but me, can you guess? Luck."
I personally love Halo 3's Campaign, with my only issues being the amount of missions, wishing the Arbiter, Elites and Covenant were given more screen time, and the fact that Bungie cut the Grave Mind boss fight with a Scarab. Other than that it's my favorite in the series. Plus with modding, these issues can be fixed.
'Best of the soundtrack'.
Video: Is as long as the full soundtrack.
Me: I see what you did there.
I'm pretty sure the full soundtrack is like 3 hours
@@FastlaneProductions1 its longer im sure
117 likes, NICE.

do you mean Cortana 2552 or 2553?

Why can't we just turn back time to the fun days ☹😦😞

Not so much halo 2..., but it was better then five but not four,
I have almost all the halos except for like 3 or so but I have CE 2 3 4 5 and reach but my all time favorite one is 3 best in my opinion

It makes me so happy to see fresh blood come to the franchise ^^

I was late to life I missed the glory days but in my eyes it will always remain awesome

Literally the most hype moment in all of gaming history

This video should have way more views honestly. Thank you for making this.

True, harkins... true.
i got goosebumps cuz of how good they were
I love the smell of green
Last of the brave is cooler than most national anthems.
I played Halo 3 for the first time last year on PC. But I bought an Xbox 360 and a copy of Halo 3 just that I can play it how it was supposed to.

j'aime beaucoup halo

@Brodie Smith I don’t know, what?
2:08 CHILLS
😭😭😭😭😭😭
Halo 3's campaign is relatively shorter than 1 and 2 but it's so good you don't care
❤️
wut an intro
Available on pc
I came back and it said I had disliked it. Why tf did it say that?
lucky number seven years ago
Damn marty
Why do you always jump
Halo 2 soundtrack was way way way better. This one was totally good but just not halo 2.
I go back and forth between 2 and 3 a lot, it's a tough choice for me. 😭
Halo 2 has more of a "badass feeling" soundtrack, while 3 is more epic to me :)
I always appreciated Marty's orchestral components. While Steve Vais guitar is legendary, I feel it took away from the mystery of Halo.
@@paigel8136 I do the same but with 3 and Reach
Best of? Lol
This game was such a disappointment for me, could have been much better.
