    hello. I have Pathfinder 4.0 2010. The gearbox has a delayed gear only in D-drive, 2-3 seconds. At the same time, there is a hissing sound in the gearbox for 2-3 seconds. The oil has been changed. I don't know about the oil filter, we haven't checked. Could it be the valve body or filter that can have such a problem?

    Hello, I have a 2004 Nissan Titan and I have a question: ❓ How true is it that if you change the oil in the automatic transmission, it no longer looks good? I ask you because several mechanics have not wanted to make the change, I hope you can answer me, greetings from Dodge City Kansas

    How do you reinstall the nuts? The bolts are free floating and spin with the nut

      Grab with a small needle nose pliers/tweezers as high as you can, and spin on the nut as high as you can get it. Then, once you can grab the end of the bolt, spin the nut the rest of the way. Once you get it semi-tight, the head will catch and you won't need the pliers to torque it down.

    Did you use any type of silicone or only the trans. pan gasket when you reinstalled it, thanks.

      Only the gasket. I heard a horror story where the RTV silicone gasket maker can break away and plug the valve body.

    Does the new gasket require an adhesive?

    • @garasierra8886
      @garasierra8886  3 роки тому

      No, well mine didn't, but I cant speak for all gaskets. There is a lot of data online that suggests adhesives prematurely deteriorate gaskets. I would avoid them if you can.

      @@garasierra8886 i was told the transmission doesn't have a filter for my 2006 nissan armada unless somebody lied to me and how many quarts of oil does the transmission holds 4 or 5

      @crayshaunhenderson1265 The Armada is mechanically the same. So it does. They just tell you it's "non-servicable".

    Great video, so the filters are good for how long?

    • @garasierra8886
      @garasierra8886  2 роки тому +1

      The Nissan owners manual suggests replacing the filter every 60k, however, upon making this video, I feel confident the filter change can be stretch much further. With that being said, I would still change the fluid, but it will be much easier and less time to perform a drain and fill only, without removing the pan.

    It's not really a filter, but more like a strainer.
