Nice video! Have done 5 or 6 spill & fills but its time to do a full service finally. '06, 138k miles but only occasionally towing motorcycles or quads, nothing too heavy. Thought it'd be more difficult but you make it look pretty easy. Thanks!
I haven't seen drain plug magnets for transmissions, there are some available for the oil pan. I think the thread is the same but the bolt heads are definitely different sizes for the two.

It depends on what you are looking for. For trans, the one in the video. Signature series Fuel Efficient. For motor if you do changes at OEM intervals use the 5w30 oe. If you want to go 1 year or up to 25 000 miles between changes try the signature series 5w30. I have all of the fluid changes on my channel and the ones that I used.

Hello, good morning I have a question, after I isolate the oil and filter change to the transmission, how did it work because there is the belief that after the oil and filter change no longer work well, what can you tell me about its titan, I have a 2004 nissan titan, I hope you can answer me and Greetings
If you just do a drain and fill you should have no issues. People sometimes have issues with a transmission flush when the transmission has been neglected, because a flush can move dirt around and cause issues in other spots. Pull the drain plug, measure what you take out and refill that amount.
@@TitanTown You can drain the whole thing! Just a little more labor intensive. You spill fill, unhook line running to trans cooler and turn on the truck and push the fluid out. "Poor Mans Flush"
@@TitanTown Absolutely, although if it is done properly way more effective for getting new fluid in. I am actually about to perform a spill and fill as we speak. I have a ton done to my Titan if you would like to see the mod list! Seems that you love the titan platform too :)
You don't have a filter you have a screen. It is replaceable but also reusable. It you do a drain and fill you need about 4.5 quarts. If you drop the pan to clean the magnets or change/clean the filter screen then you need about 5.5 quarts.
Just wondering what brand of filter/gasket you used? I have read about the ATP ones bulging out when the pan is tightened up. Leaning towards the Pioneer over the ATP but they are now the same company...Just want a good gasket that won't leak on me. I am pretty sure that is the ATP kit just wondering if its the B327 or TF327?

@@TitanTown ok I knew you were using KM missed the part about doing a filter change. Didn't realize you could just change fluid at the set intervals which seems a little better now.
@@warsok2151 I think the only way is to check it by removing it. I would probably check it every 100 000km or replace it every 150 000km. I have not seen a recommendation for its replacement.

There is a factory sticker under the hood that says " only use nissan matic fluid any other fluid WILL cause damage" ..... sooner or later it will fail.
That's BS. Nissan Doesn't make their fluids, they just want to sell you their branded fluids. Make sure it's the right type. I've been using AMSOIL transmission fluid 6 years and my transmission runs cooler now than it did with the factory fill. Heat will kill a transmission.

The hardest part was getting the right bolts back in the right place on the filter.
You didn't mention the copper crush washer for the drain plug. It's the same one for the engine oil drain plug. At least for a 2013.
Good point, i usually use mine a few times before changing it, but its a good idea to change it out. Where do you get yours?

Yes it was, which was good to see. I wanted to check pan magnets and filter and to make video for you guys
There was another guy on youtube that put gasket maker around the pan on with the gasket, do you think that was necessary?
No, if you are worried about it leaking, clean both surfaces and use a new gasket. I reused old gasket with no issues or leaks.

How much fluid did your Titan take? The repair manual I looked at says 11 and 1/4 quarts. I didn’t see that man jugs on your tail gate?
Drain and fill using plug only gets about 4.5 quarts out. If you drop the pan you get about 5.5 quarts out. You can't drain the whole system.

How do you clean your transmission filter?
Remove it and flush fluid through it or replace it.
