A multiple zone timer is great when you can only do 2 sprinklers at a time. Set each zone for a separate time. 4 zone timers can run 8 or 12 heads. A caution on using directly to a faucet: You will need a water hammer protection device. Out on a hose, it may not be necessary. The hose will take the shock. Use a soft hose. After the timer, stiff tubing can be used. Remember, disconnect your timer if freezing temperatures are predicted. You can use an electrical handy box and bury your timer. Or you can notch a shallow bucket for a cover. It can be spray painted to hide it somewhat. Go green or brown. 🍀🌿🌾🐀🐾

Which one doesn’t restrict water flow? I bought a 3 zone timer from Orbit and it cut my flow from 15gpm (from faucet) to 7.8gpm.
Run them at independent times per zone. The Orbit only lost 2 feet of distance after I installed it.
