Thank you Sam Kerns so very much for watching our video and taking time to comment. We really appreciate that. At the time I did the video, I was simply using soaker hoses. Going drip, yes, depending on the overall water pressure, it is recommended you use pressure regulators. Have a GREAT Day.
This thing looks awesome, thanks for sharing! I'm looking for something like this that can be run off of gravity pressure only, do you know the pressure requirements of that model?
I am sorry to say that I do not know the pressure requirements for this. I CAN say that it does not work for a standard rain barrel. I have tried it. However, I thank you CocoTwisty so very much for watching our video and taking time to comment. We really appreciate that. Have a GREAT Day.
Thank you Budo Steve so very much for watching our video and taking time to comment. We really appreciate that. Unfortunately I have not had that problem with this mode so I am unable to answer your question. My guess is you simply got lucky and got a bad one. Have a GREAT Day. 😀
how is the timer holding up? any faults or issues? Reviews on Crappy tire are very poor so I'm a bit hesitant to drop $100.00 with so many low reviews.
Thank you for watching and commenting. I can honestly say that I PERSONALLY have had no problems with it. To be fair, I had to return my old one twice before I got one that actually worked. Perhaps I was just lucky and got a good one the first time. :-)
@@ResslerMania I had two, one 2 valve and one 4 valve like in this video. Both died this year (start of third year). The reviews are really iffy on the Melnor Timers, many people complain of early failure, I am now one of that group (with two units!). I'd rather pay more and get reliability but Melnor keeps building these the same way. Fool me once, ... Not going to invest in this again unless I see a marked improvement in quality.
Thank you for watching and for your comment. At the time I bought this unit I, the highest output device they had was a 4 zone. I suppose you could put a split at the spigot and run two units as a time (One 3 zone and one 2 zone). Not sure what options are around now though but never came across a 5 zone before. Hope this answers your question.
got three of these last year at Home Depot. worked great. winter came: removed batteries, cleaned unit, dried thoroughly, and packed away. this year, put new batteries in one and it will not work. very disappointed that it only worked one year. other two work fine. wouldn't buy again. too expensive to be unreliable for year two.
Thank you pelagics1. Appreciate you sharing your story with us. Sorry one of them did not over-winter well. I guess I got lucky with mine. SO FAR it has been working like a champ.
Just FYI for you. My spouse is starting a new channel called Healthy Home Cooking that you may be interested in as well. She is releasing test episodes this year but plans to do a weekly show starting early next year. If you are interested, I invite you to check it out. Her first test video is at ua-cam.com/video/VypUEYTHj9c/v-deo.html
Thank you Jo Sanders so very much for watching our video and taking time to comment. We really appreciate that. There is actually a newer version now that supposedly makes the programming easier. Have a GREAT Day.
Thanks for the question. There is no hose from the house. I connected it directly to the spigot. If you mean the hoses coming from the unit to the garden feeder lines, I buried them to decrease chance of late frost damage in early Spring, also so I would not trip over the hoses. Hope this answers your question.
Thank you @mchldln2 so very much for watching our video and taking time to comment. We really appreciate that. The answer to your question is at the beginning of the video, after the intro. In addition to that reason, different types of plants enjoy a different watering schedule and depth of watering. Hope that answers your question and Have a GREAT Day.
Very good setup, thank you for showing !
Thank you Dominique Dupont so very much for watching our video and taking time to comment. We really appreciate that. Have a GREAT Day.
Did you add any pressure regulators after the timer. Drip tape suggests 15 psi.

Thanks for the video, I have the same model but find it loses the time setting often. New batteries, not sure what else to check.

ResslerMania thanks for the reply
It has enough pressure to run the water trough the pvc pipe?
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Yes, as you see in the video, the water had enough pressure to travel the piping

Can I get one of this by 5 Zones

Cam you explain the steps to program into each zone.

Why did you hide the hose connection that comes from the house?

why not just run a water line out to the garden?
