    Hi. I’ve changed me internet provided and I have reset the coms unit but when I try to find the device on my WiFi settings on my iPad, it asked for a password, I typed the password from the sticker and when trying to connect, it just has the whirling circle and then kicks me out. Any ideas.

    Im doing this for my panel at the moment after changing provider. How do i find the engineers code? The only code im aware of is the user code which is obviously my own 4 digit passcode. thanks

      Don’t need the engineers code to change provider will just set tamper off but code will silence it.

    Hi. When I find the coms unit in my WiFi settings, it keeps throwing me out once I’ve typed the password in from the sticker.

    Well intentioned, but as a novice found it only partly helpful, it lacked precise information of the key steps required to complete the task.

      Seem to be a lot of that going around 🙄

      I wasn’t being negative, the video/description doesn’t specify what you have to do? Ie;
      1. Put panel into Engineer Mode
      2. Remove cover. Press the small yellow button to the right of the LEDs for a few seconds until WiFi light on left is flashing.
      3. Open Wi-fi on iPhone/iPad etc, and connect to SmartComxxxx, Input PW: as per sticker.
      4. Then, open Safari on iPhone and go to 192.168.2.1, this opens connection page in the alarm. Input WiFi password.

      Alarm Assist Hey I’m not criticising you I do appreciate what you are trying to do. But as a competent person (an engineer), who hasn’t touched or seen this device before, your video and comments gave an inkling of what I should do, but it wasn’t clear. I had to watch the next video and that was clear? I wouldn’t have had to look anywhere else if yours had worked? I’m just trying to give you constructive criticism, maybe watch it back as if you we’re starting from scratch and didn’t have a clue?
      I’ve also edited my 1st comment so it is fair...
      Cheers😉
