HakByte: How to find anything on the internet with Google Dorks
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 тра 2021
- On this first episode of HakByte, we cover Google Dorking, which is an OSINT technique that takes advantage of the Google Search engine with advanced search strings. This video covers basic google dorks that will allow you to filter out irrelevant information for a google search, finding insecure websites, and even discovering exposed password databases. Finally, an open source tool called pagodo is covered, which automatically can pass thousands of google dorks while avoiding detection from google.

omg! the tips here helped me find in a minute a 2004 article in a local paper i had been searching for unsuccessfully for a few years
That's awesome! I'm glad it was useful
@@hak5 Awesome video!!
I´d like to share a Hack from personal experience. It's the pillows. The hack is to change/wash the pillow covers every day!
@The Damn Boi Man sorry for your loss.
OMG OMG OMG!!!
congrats on learning how to use google, youre well on your way.
You people are so good at simplifying complex topics. I'm 68 years old. I have no problem following along. There are some fine instructors on this channel.
this topic isnt complex at all lol
Glad you're learning fellow adventurer!
@@myname-mz3lo it's about context, you pig
@@necroowl3953 I was shown this in school as a kid... Its not part of hacking. It's just how to search properly
@@myname-mz3lo oh yeah because they had computers in schools in the 1960's you clown. If you have nothing good to say don't say it.
You taught me more in this video than i have learned with tons of trial by error and endless info videos. One of my favorite vids. More people should teach useful info like this.
I have been a hak5 subscriber from the very beginning of the channel and I am glad to see it is returning to producing more of its high-quality content. Welcome back :).
Excited about the series. One suggestion, please number the episodes so that if we miss any we can easily search for a specific one. Would be easier to navigate a playlist as well. Cheers
just dork it

You guys are amazing. I learn a great deal from watching your channel. Keep up the great work!
This is so much better than earlier videos where it seems like they post the first take of the video. Love it
Excellent series concept, team. Let's see more!
this'll be a life saver.
I can't even recall the number of times I gave up searching for something because I just simply couldn't find it.
This is pretty awesome, thanks... I do like the fact that google lets you refine your searches with cmd line stuff, I didn't realize it was so versatile.
Whoa, as a beginner in cyber this was eye opening and awesome!
Nice rehash. I remember reading a book that covered this topic about 15 years ago. It's super helpful for sifting through the seo garbage.
Kudos bro ur among 1% who uses YT to give 100% value for viewers fine content///
I would love more from this
Love NullByte! Thanks for the great content. Cheers from Brazil.
Yea man Greta idea with this series, I’m gettin into CE but cybersecurity was a close second major choice. Thank god for this series
Dang ... almost 8 month on linux and I didn't knew that you could install all the requirements that way ... I always did it 1 by 1 .... you will saved me endless time in the future
I'm watching this video on my phone, and now I need glasses.
Now THIS is what we really need to be teaching kids in school.
They don’t, because knowledge is power
You're my new favorite Nick! Really like your videos. Very insightful.
This is super cool! Keep it coming!
This is cool. How long does your IP get blocked for? Also you should create a second Python script to read the pagodo output file and use selenium to open maybe the first 20 and wait for you to press a key before opening the next 20, etc. It will save the time of copying and pasting into a browser and keeping track of where you are.
Real joy watching you guys what can be done against big tech. Too advanced for me. Wonder where I can learn this stuff in private. Hopeless noob I am
Long time viewer (if you consider ~18 min long :). Will return for more! Thanks for the video.
This video has become REALLY relevant for the information on searching for Will Smith without meaning "that incident"
Finally, someone talk about it. Google show you only what he want you to see. And the searching algorithm was way better ten years ago. Now, it's a real mess. I'm force to use alternative search tool to find what i'm looking for. Even when you make a mistake in the search bar, google try to correct it and don't want to show you the result of the search for the uncorrected keyword you tip.
"the searching algorithm was way better ten years ago." I agree with this.
use double quotes on the mistake google is trying to correct
@@SnapThority Yeah, i know. But some years ago, you didn't needed to do that. Google was more dumb and it was way better.
@@Sombre____ The google engine is clearly way over engineered as a product, and focuses too much on being an 'environment' that works best for google and their search engine manipulation rather than providing functional and efficient results.
@@Gogglesofkrome Yep. I was just saying than google is trying to sell you something. You have the same on youtube. When you search something on youtube. You will see than youtube don't show you the more recent videos and prefer selecting old videos or trending videos instead of giving you the "true" result.
This is amazing, thank you so much!
Nick great tutorial on Dorking! More dope tutorials please!
Nice 1st show good info u were pretty engaging and easy to follow...ill be looking for your next show.
Thanks for the tip! This is a going to be a great series! Time to look for my dad!
Google used to strictly conform to search operations, say prior to 2013. What you don’t mention is google search now makes decisions on ignoring search operations thus making google and search operations obsolete. We need a search engine that is essentially early google
Precisely. No matter how accurately you make your search and how properly you use operations, Google shows you what it wants you to see.
In 2013 you could easily not rely on operations and just perform a simple search to find what you need.
Google has attempted to explain it's manipulations as simply making algorithms that reflect what people want to see but if you do searches on social topics that are divisive, you'll find that they are dominated by one side of the issue. Even when you get very explicit to guide the search, Google insists on limiting the search to their preferences.
We are just beginning to see such tech manipulations being revealed with Musk's purchase of Twitter.
@@silverbackhayabusa I thought that I was just bad at Google or something but there's a very noticeable difference using DuckDuckGo instead.

really like your search query tricks, very educational.
I was going to complain about you not having a good enough microphone at the start, BUT found the stuff you said interesting Thank you :)
lol, good job on not being 'that guy' then
Very cool tutorial. Gives a lot of ideas to some crazy people.
Dorks sound frickin sweet and the syntax is just cmd, subject, filter . Can't get much easier to remember than that .
Your background is really great
No idea why this was suggested to me...but damn I love it.
hi Godshall, what is the best antivirus that you recommend on the market?
Hi I know this is off topic, but are you guys ever restocking the Bash Bunny? I love my little Wifi Rubberducky gadget but I wanted to branch out. It's been saying Coming Soon on your website for quite a while now, I was just seeing if there's an update or anything like that.
Thank you for all the incredible work you guys do!
great tool and video buddy....love it :)
This escalated quickly. Started with "string name" google searches and ended with python script scraping for passwords....
Really great video. Hope there are more coming in this style :-)
Great video, and very excited about the new series. One comment is that the lighting and audio are kind of low quality? The video looks old for some reason, and the audio is echo-y. Keep it up! looking forward to more.
Great little video, Sometimes you forget how what we see in front of us isn't always whats actually available.
Makes me want to put in more effort lol
goddamn hakbyte sounds awesome
Oh yeah, when I was in elementary school like 2nd grade they would take us to the library to learn how to use library computers for research and finding books. Ironically enough, we learned about those operators and how to use them
more more moooore of this 😍
Great content. Good speed on the video.
Great information!
Didn't know Google had advanced search terms so thats really cool. Probably wouldn't use it for anything malicious but this would be pretty useful for scraping data.
I have an other question i don't know if you can help with this.
Can we also find and identify via google search a specific youtube video, when we only search for a comment, which was under the video? I am searching for a subcomment, which has to be folded out but in both cases i couldn't find the video so far. Is this possible?
In youtube itself it does not show me the video after very long scrolling the search of the comment and on google also. But why does google not show the video, when i type in that comment? After all the headline of the videos are displayed by google.
Duuuude this is DOPE, thanks.
love the painting
Shoutout to Will Smith the Baseball player

Amazing !!! Thank you
Thanks man for your awesome content, I hope I won't got caught up after seeing this video lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is awesome. I so wish I could read what you are typing. Perhaps zoom in next time onto the google key field as you type and explain. TY
question
..can erroneously entering a wrong password be tracked?
considering ive changed my password a few times in the last year AND the fact i know who would have used a hacking service ..as an outsourced service would not show any electronic trail should they recieve your info via hand written file
I'm starting to like this already♠!
Great video, thank you!
Wao you made it so easy ....liked it so am crowning it
Good content thanks !
Yall are the best. Forreal.

hey so im looking for a video that was uploaded at least three years ago, maybe before. its about this missing girl who was either russian or swedish, i dont remember her name, but i do remember a couple of things. 1. the video had multiple parts within one video, by this i mean it seperated theories to intro to conclusions. 2. it featured another channel, im pretty sure it was a girl judging solely by the voice. 3. with every different part in the video, intro conclusion, theories, etc, to seperate them there was some strange title card. 4. i very vividly remember that there was a youtube channel based around this girl with cryptic videos, including bubble shaped paper mache masks. 5. i remember one of the theories was she was kidnapped and forced into a cult, or she willingly ran away to the cult. 6. the videos were strange, however at the very end of the video the theorizers pointed out that the last video from the channel they talked about might have symbolized the mother letting go of the girl, the mother being a pretty involved person in the story if i can remember correctly. 7. the female theorizer and the male theorizer each switched parts throughout the video, one of them covered the intro, one the outro, i beleive they shared the theories. 8. on the channel, there were others. like the main girl whos mask had long blonde hair and light skin, these masks were not made to be realistic i dont think, but there were other videos of girls in dresses like the main girl in houses in the woods, not really houses i guess but shacks almost. 9, i remember one of the videos on the channel had the main girl on a dark street, it was sort of cliche with the girl slowly getting closer to the screen, like the girl in the ring, then it ended. 10. in the video, the theorizers looked the girl up on some website for missing people, nothing came up on her. thats all i can remember for now, i dont think they ever did figure out what happened to her, i really really want to find it so if anybody knows what the video is called, where i can find it, or if it got taken down please please tell me. the whole thing might be a big joke but i still want to find that video. if anybody knows what im talking about or who made it please tell me. thanks
You guys bring in the Null Bytes,
I'm there.
Isn’t Asterisk used to improve searches in some way? I used to know, then suffered a major head/brain injury.
18:35 What is the name of the UA-cam channel that you mentioned? I couldn't understand you.
Dude thanks for your hard work , lots of great information
I appreciate that!
"for example: If you searched will smith" this aged well, smiling emoji
Can you tell me google dorking (manual search or using pagodo) is active or passive scan?
Nice tutorial ace
@Hak5 is there a way just to have google show you the amount of results that it actually found? For example is said there were 2 billion results for just Will Smith with no search operators included. But since the search censoring it won't allow you to view all 2 billion of those pages even if you tried. How would I go about just finding all pages that it actually found with all words entered?
Today I learned! Thanks, Hak5
thanks for making this video,
You had me at 'beginner' :)
Will smith trick does not work!
How about searching for reviews of products from overseas sources, like Japanese action figures? Although Amazon & other USA companies provide customer reviews, some items are not listed/lack reviews.
Would you please zoom in abit or increase the font size so that we can easily make a note or write codes you type.
Thanks very slick 👍
Very cool. Thank’s 🤗
What was looking finally got today 😮
It would be nice if the text in the description was about the video we were watching, some links perhaps, not just boilerplate links to you, Darren and Shannon. And if you want us to be able to see the screen, a bit larger text please.
thank you so much
Is there a way to find all domains that have same country code such as .fr or .de ? Using dns or something like that
Is it that for the "allintext:password filtertype:log after:2013", this line you can no longer use?
I like the nautilus file manager!
BTW, what is the difference between using
python3 -m pip install -r requirements.t
and
and pip3 install
The first command will install all missing python libraries necessary for a python program to run, while the second only installs one specific library.
Nice videos!
Does it matter if Google Dorks is on Windows machine or Pi SBC?
