Thanks for letting me couch-fish while the cold wind blows😊
x2
John your drone shots are just spectacular. You should win an award for those drone shots. Great job
Enjoying creation. And praising the Creator. You've already taken the narrow road and you are still going there. You are in the Truth, the Way and the Life, JC. Lovely to see you endeavoring the places you fish.
I love ultralight fishing, also. I wish you would give rod, reel and line info along with your super fun videos.
Awesome spot for sure to fish. Hope you get back there when it warms up and see what moves in.
Looks like nice place to fish great scenery keep them coming
Love your videos and this one right here is from my area. I fish a lot of those same places. That's a good place to catch crappie in the spring when the water starts back up especially around that culvert
Just being able to get out and go Fishing is a Win right there, it’s in the mid 50’s in Virginia but the River is up pretty bad. Stay safe my Friend
Drone footage 👍👌
Two birds that usually outfish me: osprey and great blue heron. It's fun watching them when nothing at the end of my line is working.
its amazing how much fish they get
Herbert strip yellow bass got yellow on there belly.Does herbstrip fight hard
Nice video 📹 👍
I’m from Bristol where this spot at
It’s down towards Dayton Tennessee, I live in Elizabethton and have been catching a lot of fish you
Aren’t on fish up here
Thanks for keeping my ambition for fishin!
I caught a 3lb largemouth on a 1/64oz crappie jig in shallow water while crappie fishing. It's always a surprise. Nice catch John.
24/13 degrees in Indiana now
Not much fishing going on.
Glad to see you are still at it
Something good to watch
John, thanks for "feeding our need" for content. A lot of yellow bass and a Whopper of a skipjack ! I also follow Realistic Fishing, he's been catching a lot of skipjack lately. Got a question, I know everybody has been asking about your cap, how about doing a pre-order list? I would be interested, so maybe a lot of other people would be also. Just a thought. Always be safe. Randy B. (the Ol' Kentuckian) LOL !
Love seeing a bunch of different fish! Great work John!
Great day of catching. I’ve got to jump in the truck and make the drive to catch a few next week. Local waters have been dead! Thanks for the great video as always.
That skipjack was at least four catfish baits by itself! :-)
If Justin from kayak catfish is watching, I'm sure he's jealous of all the bait you're catching!!
Pretty lame to use a good fighting fish for bait when there’s tons of creek chubs and shiners that work just as good and don’t put up a decent fight
@@baulplart4716 good fighting fish lmfao
Great video, and congratulations on that nice bigger Largemouth Bass you caught!
Thought I'd say two other things to ya:1-I see that SOMEBODY'S gotten themselves to at least 128,000 Subscribers. Congrats on that, too.
2-I read your Scripture Verse. It is going to be absolutely mind-blowing, as to how few people have found the Straight and Narrow Way. So many people think that, just because they go to Church, fill out a Membership Card, and shake the Preacher's hand, that they're going to Heaven. We both know what it takes to find the Straight and Narrow Way, concerning Christ Jesus. We need to surrender everything to him, and receive him as our Savior and Lord. We need to repent of our sins, and ask God to forgive us of all of our sins, and walk with him daily, in the fullness of his Word.
I'll finish with this: Finally, my Brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the full Armor of God, wherewith ya may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil.
Please pray for me, that I'll be strong in the Lord, and stay that way. I'll do my best, to do the same thing for you.
God bless you and yours!
Nice multi-species day John. Doing what he does, slayin Fish & enjoyin Creation!
Yellow bass are invasive. No limit, I think they only get about 10 to 11 inches tops. they are good to eat. Yummy Tuna, I think those were yellow bass because theyy were all under 12 inches. If they were white bass you certainly would have gotten some bigger than that.
I've seen and caught yellow bass around 12 to 14 inch range. It's rare but not unheard of.
Another great Creek Fishing Adventure! Thanks for sharing!
Realistic fishing would be super Jealous of that skip jack!
One of the best fishing trips I've had with my daughter was catching yellow bass with my daughter and they were huge I'd never heard of them in norris lake til that day she caught about 6 I caught maybe 4 or 5
I misread your comment at first I thought it said the yellow bass were 4 or 5 lbs lol
@Jordon Pratt 😅 I wish they were over a 1 lb but I've heard that's pretty good. I wish I'd known they were good eating fish
I remember going to the Nickajack Dam years ago and catching hundreds of skipjack and a 4 lb hybrid stripe on an ultralight and 4 lb test. That was so much fun!
Hey John, how about a gear and bait review going into 2023? Always great content on UA-cam
That's a Bobby Garland grub you're using, I just bought a bag of that in exact color.
Great to see you again Brother 🤠 I live in Carlisle Pa and can't fish until season starts in April! Really needed your content to carry me till can get back to it 😉 Thanks and God Bless 🙏
Hey, Miguel! I live over here in Bethlehem, PA, and was out creek fishing in tiny pockets and got several nice creek chubs! I use an ultralite rod with 2lb line and 1/200 ounce jig with a Crappie Nibble on the hook and it works every time! Creek chubs will hit even in cold weather, but they take it slower than in summer. I started doing winter creek fishing with this set up because of Johns videos and it works! Try it! Also started kayak fishing the Conodoquinnette out your way and had a blast with the Nikko Hellgramites thanks to Johns videos! So go find some tiny creeks and look for pools that hold fish..You'll get 'em!! :-)
Nice little winter outing, thanks John for sharing.
I know a “Kayak Catfish” guy that would love to have that skipjack 😉!
I watch Justin too. That fella knows a lot about lake fishing for cats and I agree, skipjack is his choice of bait.
A verse with eternal meaning. Like a narrow creek compared to the Mississippi River!
I’d like to see a video where you’re going for big ones of those guys idk where you’d go to do that but white bass at least get pretty decent, no one’s seen a yellow bass in my state in over fifty years
Glad you’re still catching them. Been tough in ohio!
I've been using live shiners to catch white and yellow bass lately. They can't resist them! Great skipjack you caught too.
i think im about to get out the shiner bucket
Spotnya mancing luas sekali
I think that frist one was and Hebert strip am not sure. Those thing fight hard.
Thanks for the video. That heron wanted your fish
In what region of which state are you? I sort of want to compare to where I am to get an idea when it's a good idea to go fishing.
I might try under a float but that's just me just saying
Is that second spot just before the spot we did the catch and cook?
yes
Can't wait for the yellow bass to run in a couple months here in Nashville area Jon!!! I'm pumped 😎
I was catching tons of them in stones in Murfreesboro last week
@@jordonpratt2604 too much gas money for me!!!! I stick close to Hendersonville area where I live!!! Yellow Bass don't start running up this way till March
@@sethjohnsonoutdoors4055 when you said Nashville area I think outside of Murfreesboro between there and Franklin kind of the area but every person is different
@@jordonpratt2604 I'm in Hendersonville....15 miles north of Nashville!!! Last county before you get to Kentucky
@@sethjohnsonoutdoors4055 yep I know where it is
Great video some really nice little yellow bass
We call those sand bass where I'm from
You can tight line with live meadows
That would be and good spot to get Catfish bet.
Looking forward to seeing some new videos
Then yellow bass are very good to eat
Love to catch any kind of fish 🐟 🐟
I hope there's a cure for whatever the heron got.
Your at ware branch I fish there a lot
Why does that look like watts bar
Nice video
If tight lining is what your doing then, you've been doing that all long, where do you get those jig heads? Great video as always!🎣
i think those were the trout magnet jigheads in 1/16 oz
Thanks for the videos love watching and always learn something new,! I was watching a video last year and you mentioned a new shoe for wearing in water do you remember what it was ?
i have been using the chota hybrid 800, very comfortable
Dang that skip jack was huge! Man it even looks cold out there bud. Tomorrow it’s suppose to be in the mid to upper 60s wind 7mph. I’m definitely going out tomorrow. Thanks for the content John.
Great job a bunch of yellow bass moestly. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and your whole family...🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀
Sweet... Im Excited about the Hellgramite 4.25. Due to the rain, im gonna hold off about 2 more days. 🐟 🎣
That's a fine winter creek adventure brother. I'd take some catching like that. Blessings John
My favorite kind of video! Seriously though about getting the kayak in there those creek channels are the key to crappie right now. Just find an inside bend in 12 to 18 ft of water and toss out two rods with two 16th Oz jigs on each and slow troll over the ledge. Big momma crappie will be there this time of year. I sure wish I had a creek channel that accessible to kayak around here we have to break out the skiff to get to those good spots on lanier.
i still want to get in here but i rained for the next 2 days and wont stop it seems
I have been trying to get on the water for the past week and a half. We have had some great days but life is blocking me. My daughter came in from Nebraska so I'm not complaining. This afternoon I took a little trout magnet and caught some chubs and bream from the deck of cabin 1. Not crappie or stripers but it gives me a little fishing fix.
Nice day, well maybe I should say a productive day. Great fishing holes and thank you for another adventure.
I think I know where you are fishing at! Looks like a spot that someone took me to when I was younger. I don't know how to get there, but it looks like a spot off of Chickamauga Lake where I was taken crappie fishing once.
We're getting sleet all over Arkansas. River are high. Ready for nicer weather.
Well done young man, thanks for sharing and have a Blessed Day!!!
Those yellow bass are actually pretty tasty and fun to catch on ultralight tackle. Great video!
Some of the lakes here are finally frozen enough for fishing. I hope to go this weekend. I would love to catch a good handful the size you are getting to have some fish tacos.
Great video man those yellow bass were hungry that skipjack was huge, what a catch
Do you just walk off of the bridge along the right of way? I was thinking about just parking near a bridge and walking down to the water. Other choice is find the closest land owner and ask permission. Always love the videos. Thanks
yes sometimes
Another great day of 🐟🐟🐟
Thanks!
wow joel, thanks so much
Great spots.
#3👍🏻🎣👀
Nice one! We've got some ice headed your way 🥶🥶🥶
i dont think we will get quite as cold on the east side of tn, hopefully not
Do you ever fish a mini spinner bait or mini skip jig ?
i dont think i have tried that
First comment!
Haha!
I won.
