I love the way you always catch an animal doing his thing the Crane was fantastic. Picking off in fish. Beaver paddling through the water. Oh yeah, fishing was great too. I love to fish those ponds with that weed beds. The outside I'm sure. If you go in your kayak you'll catch a bunch. Great video John. Loved every second of it

My parents live right down the road from that first pond, and I've fished it many times by myself and with my dad and brothers-in-law. I would take a machete with me to chop down some of the vegetation when it got tall and made sure to put on lots of tick repellent. I'm a big fan of fishing with soft plastics, and there are few ponds I've found that allow you to use so many different kinds as that pond. The grass makes it almost impossible to do anything with trebles. I'm trying to figure out which direction you came in from, but have no clue. haha! Thanks for the good video!

5:21 How come you're always such a fussy young fish?
Don't want no Captain Crunch, don't want no Raisin Bran
Well, don't you know that other kids are starving in Japan?
So eat it, just eat it (brr)
    Don't wanna argue, I don't wanna debate
Don't wanna hear about what kinds of foods you hate (woo)
You won't get no dessert 'til you clean off your plate
So eat it, don't you tell me you're full
Just eat it (eat it), eat it (eat it)
Get yourself an egg and beat it
Have some more chicken, have some more pie
It doesn't matter if it's boiled or fried
Just eat it (eat it), just eat it (eat it)
Just eat it (eat it), just eat it (eat it, woo)
Your table manners are a cryin' shame
You're playin' with your food, this ain't some kind of game
Now if you starve to death you'll just have yourself to blame
So eat it, just eat it (brr)
You better listen, better do what you're told (woo)
You haven't even touched your tuna casserole (ooh)
You better chow down, or it's gonna get cold
So eat it, I don't care if you're full
Just eat it (eat it), eat it (eat it)
Open up your mouth and feed it
Have some more yogurt, have some more Spam
It doesn't matter if it's fresh or canned
Just eat it (eat it), eat it (eat it)
Don't you make me repeat it
Have a banana, have a whole bunch
It doesn't matter what you had for lunch
Just eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it
Eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it
Eat it (eat it), eat it (eat it)
If it's getting cold, reheat it
Have a big dinner, have a light snack
If you don't like it, you can't send it back
Just eat it (ooh-hoo, eat it), eat it (eat it)
Get yourself an egg and beat it (oh, Lord)
Have some more chicken (ooh-hoo), have some more pie (ooh-hoo-hoo)
It doesn't matter if it's boiled or fried
Just eat it (eat it), eat it (eat it)
Don't you make me repeat it (oh, no)
Have a banana, have a whole bunch (ooh-hoo-hoo)
It doesn't matter what you had for lunch...

I bet you could ziptie a couple of rod holders to the area in front of the back tire of that bike to make carrying them a little easier. Alternatively you could zip tie a piece of PVC to the main piece of metal under your seat perpendicular to the ground and get a couple of collapsible rods, the kind that break in half, and stow them in there.

  • @wrightackle1
    @wrightackle1 Рік тому

You ought to put some rear panniers on that bike. You can carry all your gear, rods and a small cooler. Frees up your hands which is a lot safer. Most panniers have pockets that you can stick your rod handles into and angle them so they are not sticking straight up.

need to go by a bass pro in their fly area red river look for lead headed flys bass eat em. cork or free line with a bb weight. get some oblong corks that have rattles inside their a picture of fish on it. yes they nip at the cork. dry flies work same set up bb weight or cork yes the line looks goofy but it’s the only way to cast the fly. minus a fly rod. just let the wind n current do it’s thing. scent spray by gulp since theirs not a bug scent go with nightcrawler

I use a bungee cord to tie my rods right the main frame of the bike.. the tips face out like a joust but it helps keep both my hands free for steering. Just loop the cord around the rods and frame till its tight. I do like your bag setup in front. I always just used a backpack but your setup there looks more comfortable

I’ve been rigging the 4” Yum Lizards on a Split Shot rig recently. I’m using a 1/0 Gamakatsu EWG and a #4 (1/10th oz) or #5 (1/20th oz) Bass Pro Shops Clam Shot weight. The bass have been tearing it up! I’ve also used the 4” Yum Finesse Worm on the same rig.

Tip from an old head that’s fished all his life… when there are stunted and skinny bass, take all the big bluegill out and use for food and or cut bait because they are taking the bass’s food. In a year or so you’ll have huge bass.
Edit: love your videos. Thanks for the dedication and great content. 🍻
