I would pay this guy to call me every morning and tell me a story.
Buy his artworks, pictures being worth thousands of words?
@deranged where do we find his art?
Agreed, I think he might be the best storyteller on VinWiki
He would probably have a different story every day for a long time!
Sounds like quite the bromance 🤣
You know todays a good day when there’s a story from Christopher on VinWiki 😆🤟
Just like with Ed, there is just something about a Georgia accent that is nice to the ears.
@@keith_5584 That and the sheer craziness he’s been through and yet able to tell the tale.
@@jus__gra oh in no why am I underselling that, he has fantastic stories.
My favorite way to start the day. Love his stories
I feel like all of Christopher's stories could be some good movie scenes... If any Hollywood movie producers are watching... this guy is hilarious.
I was thinking the same thing lol
Haha 😄 totally this one would make a great film. 👍
"It's not an emergency but, it's getting there..." lol. Put that on a shirt.
A Chris story, always good.
Chris can get a HBO series with all these stories
That last one is the best story I've ever heard in general aviation. Absolutely hilarious!
It's also the reason they have a verbal handoff - "My airplane" "Your airplane"
Thanks! Your user name is the best I've seen on UA-cam! Kill those tires! Yeah!
I literally laughed out loud when he says that both of them think each other is doing the flying maneuver, lol.
"Family had a barnstorming act..." of course, it's Christopher
Oh man, this was a good one from Chris! Both the truck and the plane stories put a huge grin on my face 😁
We are literally laughing out loud my daughter and I listening to this story. What a guy, what a family!
I'm still giggling about the falling in a tub of ice cream bit!! Everyone needs a grandpa like that - a solid foundation of love, but tells it like it is...
My grandfather had really cool quips I heard all the time. "If your brains were dynamite you would not have enough to blow your nose." "Tighter than a frogs ass, and that's water tight." "Your stupidity amazes me." he's been gone 30 years and I still remember him like yesterday.
@@Meditech509 my grandpas quip was 'gotta be smarter than the machine yer workin with!'. more applicable today than ever...
Whenever I need a smile Chris comes through with another heartfelt story. Thanks Brother.
I always love to watch Christopher’s stories. However, this one was so extremely special! Thank you, Christopher for sharing such private memories about you and your grandfather!
Thanks for bringing Chris back on. His stories are always amazing.
The International Harvester shirt is a WIN for me!!
Thanks Danny. I’ve had a Scout Terra for nearly 20 years which is one of my favorite trucks I’ve ever had. What makes you an IH fan?
@@christophermichaels I actually am a proud owner of my grand pa's 1953 M Farmall. which is a division on IH. I still use it w/ a finishing mower on my property. Motor has never been split! I love the air cleaner / oil bath.!!
Chris definitely missed an opportunity when he said that plane had an open cockpit he's definitely is the guy to say it had an open cockpit just like my wife at the time
I’m loving Chris, his stories are good and very interesting what was happening during my time as a kid and now I’m wishing I was him.
Yesssss. More Christopher please!!!!
This guy is by far the best story teller ever. I love this guy
Always love to listen to Christopher tell stories!
0:50 The VERY BEST picture of a biplane I have EVER SEEN.
Always love Christopher's stories. I've said it before and I'm gonna say it again. I'm 50 and I still want be Christopher when I grow up.
Thank you for the kind words Jeff. I'm a 18 months behind you and catching up quickly!
@@christophermichaels you sir are welcome. Continue to live your best life.I'm sure I speak for the majority of folks on here, we all look forward to the next story, everytime.
The first airplane I ever flew in was a 43 stearman. Such a cool experience!
You can't go wrong with a Christopher story. Amazing as always.
Chris's stories are always good to listen to
OMG the King of Vinwiki Stories manage to surprise again and casually drops that he knows how to fly a frickin plane
Not many people can relay big stories, from small towns with such great experiences. Like Christopher......who continues to surprise with each 'melody'!! LoL
My last flight with an instructor in a glider before my Solo was a pretty funny flight. I had worked a thermal all the way up to 2000 meters and my instructor said allright, i think you are ready for flying alone, lets loose some altitude so we can get you back in the air alone, i already checked around us for traffic during thermaling, go ahead an pull full elevator and push full left rudder! I of course did that without delay, did a perfect figure we call "Törn" in Germany, and as soon as i entered the nosedive sideways out of stalling i could see nothing but the canopy of an LS4 which had been thermaling below with a friend of mine looking at me quite frightened. Me and the instructor both pulled full elevator until we leveled out, and he said, well if you werent ready before you surely are now, lets descend with spoilers this time ! :D was quite the story at dinner later, especially with the other pilot recalling to see both our faces, he said we looked very funny, so scared :DDD
This is the guy that made me a true fan of this channel
He's got the best stories ever one of my favs on VIN Wiki.
Sir you have lived an adventure full life from the sounds of it and I love it
Christopher’s small town stories never disappoint.
The Christopher stories are always my favorites! I love this guy.
Triple Christopher Michaels story?! Oh man! Now that’s a good video to end a day!
Best story-teller. Chris, you should consider a story-telling YT channel.... like Mr. Ballen. Dude's making bank. You know we VinWiki peeps would sub up right away!
I finally figured out what art is his specialty, telling the best stories. The only thing that disaappoints is when the story ends.
best part of my week!!!! thank you christopher. ed you need a weekly segment for our amigo mr christopher. " deadpan tales of glory and misfortune" starring christopher. my favorite automotive storyteller that has ever graced our earth. a**, gas, or grass. nobody rides for free.
Thank you for the kind words Gregory!
@@christophermichaels you just make me happy
Sounds like a proper bloke 💪🏻
This is every country grandfather ever! Sketchy stuff was noting to them. My mom was always appalled at the things Mt grandfather let us do. Mt dad thought it was normal. We weren't coddled.
Great way to start the morning. ☕️, Vinwiki, and Chris and his crazy stories
Literally saw him and was like "oh boy, what crazy story does he have today?"
@@colbypupgaming1962 fr bro fr
This reminds me of my childhood in the from seat of a Pier Cub with my Dad over West Virginia.
Hi Howard. The other plane to which I referred in the story was an Piper Cub. They''re such great planes and can take off and land on a postage stamp. Thanks for watching!
Ur stories sir are great u and rabbit are my favorite story tellers
This is one of his best stories other than the smuggler truck
Chris has amazing stories.
"Boy, you could fall into a bucket of icecream and still come out smellin like sh•t."
-Grandpa
Love the stories! Definitely got a good laugh out of me this morning.
i'm a simple man. I see Christopher, I drop what i'm doing, and watch
As soon as I saw Christopher in the title I tried to click so fast I dropped the phone! This will be great! Thank you from all of us Ed!!
Chris is a real artist, in ways that a guy who sells pictures of blown up lamborghini parts will never understand
I’m gonna go ahead and say it:
Christopher is the “most interesting man in the world! “
I had my first plane ride in a 9 cylinder Stearman. 1969!! 😎
Criss is one of the best but I'm really loving everyone's storys
Like the story first and then watch it...It's Chris....
Welcome to the world of Christopher crazy ass country lifestyle
Me starts Vinwiki: It's Christopher, Tyler Hoover, John and Lady Pamela.
Me: 😁
By far my favorite storyteller on here.
I could listen to that man read me the dictionary
I’m so glad to see more Chris. He’s my favorite!
Always love a story by Mr. Michaels!
Wish I could give more than one thumbs up.
I'm a simple man: I see Chris, I click.
That’s nice that you just slowly drip feed us the Chris stories, you know we’re addicted to them like junkies. I see what you’re doing there, Ed. Lol
I haven’t heard that in forever…. “You could fall in a bucket of ice cream, and still come out smelling like 💩💩💩!” …. I think my grandfather said the same thing to me lol.
Awesome story!!
You also solo it from the rear, for center of gravity reasons. So... it has the most complete instrumentation. Fuel controls/shutoff is usually (always?) only in the rear as well magnetos, though I have seen mechanically linked mag switches up front. What is interesting/mildly hazardous about old planes is that controls are not very standardized, sometimes between different years or models of the "same" plane. There is a variation of the Piper Cub that has the fuel shutoff on the other side of all the others, that uses the same knob and same location as carb heat. So, you pull on carb heat on downwind as you reduce throttle only to be on final and maybe need a little throttle to keep a margin over the trees. But the throttle just makes squeak noises because you cut off the gas. Good times.
Quite obviously, he didn't stand up when he was under the prop!
Forever in awe with the amount of stories and experiences perfect strangers have in them and this gentleman right here is a prime example of that
This is me Dwight not my beautiful wife Cindy……….. when Chris tells a story it’s like my granddad telling me a story. I’m listening with both ears. My dad instructed new cadets to fly Stearmans in WWII . Oh bye the way, she is my wife at the time. Anyway you are so lucky to be able to learn flying from your granddad. If I had been in your position in rural Pennsylvania I know I would have set something on fire but I was in the suburbs of Philly so I’m sure I would have crashed into something big or caused some big national news crisis. I love your great stories Dude. No pressure, but I will have a great day when you can tell me something that went on in Athens or on the Florida Everglades or in some college in Alabama, or in a cool rental Mustang in Arizona, etc, etc, etc. I don’t want to miss one!!!
Christopher: I grew up in Georgia same as you did. My dad worked for Lockheed in Marietta just outside Dobbins and had a good friend who had a Stearman. The man’s name was Jack Couch and he also was an engineer working for Lockheed. I’m wondering if that rings a bell. He flew from a little grass strip called Gunn Field, in later times we saw his Stearman over at Peachtree-Dekalb Airport. Anyway I love your stories and think you could publish one hell of an entertaining book/screenplay if you wanted to. Live long and prop ‘er!
Christopher is easily one of your top 5 story tellers, bar none!
Of course CM knows how to fly... I've done nothing with my life... *sigh*.
And learned on an open cockpit freakin' Stearman, arguably the coolest of all trainers.
You can explain a lot of Christopher's life when he tells you that his grandpa had him pull wheel chocks out of the wheels with a propeller spinning and his grandpa sitting in the plane yelling not to stand up or die 😂😂😂
Hahahah, fantastic! What a life he has lived!!
My day is made
Michele bay and him need to do a movie
Fall into a tub of ice cream got me. that is the funniest insult I have hear..I going to put that in my pocket..😆
This is actually my morning story lol and this guy must be where they got the story for the movie second hand lion
That's quite a compliment. Thanks!
@@christophermichaels thank you for the content been watching a long time great stuff🤘
I can listen to Chris tell stories all day long!!!! Need waaaaay more of this!
Christopher Tells The Best Stories
I would watch that movie!
I see Christopher, I hit like. It's that simple haha
My grandfather distilled in my family, a love of booze.
A steep learning curve🤣
Chris!! Love your stories
Ah, man, if I ever bump into Christopher somewhere I hope I can buy him a beer, Coke, whatever his favorite drink happens to be, and spend a little time chatting. It’d make my day.
You got it Stuff Happens! Thank you for the watching and sharing some kindness!
Almost didn't watch this one and it's the best one I've listened to of all!!!
We love us some Chris!
Just when I thought Chris had maxed out on coolness…
Cool grandad story!!
Always have time for a good old chris story ,grandfather sounded like a cool bloke.👍
Love the IH shirt. Ed, get someone to talk about Scouts on the channel
Hi Colin, I have that IH shirt because I have a Scout, a diesel Terra. It’s in the Prostitute Roadside Assistance story in my VINwiki playlist but I’ll try to record some more stories about it. Thanks for watching!
I miss my grandfathers
Chris and Rabbit need their own podcast.
Perfect visual of the old man talking smack to the young kids then chripin out on the tractor. Had me laughing hard haha
Bring ‘im back.
Sure sounds like you were very fortunate to live such an exciting life growing up! Nice “man on the tractor” shirt!👍
You're one of the few people who recognizes that Matt. I have an old Scout and had an IH tractor back in the day. Thanks for watching!
@@christophermichaels My dad had a Scout and a truck when I was little, they left an impression on me and I now own a 1947 KB5 I’m turning into an antique style tow truck.
@@CarswithNash KB's are such good looking trucks. Send me some pics when you're done!
Can you get the guy the was driving the r8 in the r8 bull run crash
Christopher is the best
That's a very fun story lol
