Most of the time I shop at Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. I do a little shopping at Meijer, but not much. Our Walmart food prices are high so I rarely go there and their produce doesn’t usually look good. It would be awesome if your daughter shared some of her ideas! Thank you for sharing and for all you do for our community😊
Thanks for sharing!!
Haven’t watched you in a few months. Just realized I missed you and Tom. You are a excellent teacher. Your kids and grandchildren are lucky.
Thank you for your lovely comment! It's heartwarming to know that you appreciate our teaching and enjoy watching our videos. We're grateful for your support!
OMG I was just thinking the same the other day... I was like why have I not seen them in my time-line lately... happy to see them back! HNY🎉
I wrap my celery in foil in refrigeratir and it extends the life in an amazing way!
That was like Mary Poppins bag as you pulled all those items out. Super cool to see and hear about the haul!
Thank you for watching! It does make me feel like Mary Poppins!
Tami, the Kirkland brand of green tea u purchased is so good!! Please make sure u look at the directions for brewing. Makes a difference
Love your hat!!! Great look!
I go to Walmart and Krogers - I did order dried beans (365) from Amazon.
I suggested on your Facebook page about the “regular” grocery store vlog video, so happy you’re going to do it! I think it will help a lot of people. ❤️
Thank you so much for the suggestions!
We shop primarily at Target, Trader Joe’s and sometimes Wal-Mart, but less often get to Costco and Whole Foods. I was ordering more from Thrive Market and Whole Foods delivery during the pandemic .
It is nice to have so many shopping options!
Love your hat
Thank you so much! I love hats.
Walmart carry’s Date Lady date syrup for a great price! I buy a few at a time and it’s a bigger bottle.
That's great - I have purchased it there too!
Thanks Tammy!
I am also glad to see that you posted a real time video of you making 14 large salads in 30 minutes. Hopefully I will learn something that I can use. I have eight of the eight cup containers but is takes me longer than 30 minutes.
Thanks for watching!
I love listening to your videos. Your hat is lovely! Do you have Aldi in your area? I’ve been thinking to try Aldi lately.
Thank you so much. We don't have Aldi's where I live.
Happy New Year . Thank you for this video. Costco is my favourite part of this video. Appreciate the extra hints and information that come along with the items. Love your recipes.
You are so welcome!
We shop Costco and Kroger. We are going to try Walmart this month. Love everything on your site 😊
Thank you so much. Happy Shopping!
Was also going to suggest seeing if your daughter would share her strategies for raising little ones wfpb as well! Can’t wait to meet her on a video!❤ And will be taking notes on her budget strategies for sure!
Thx for the impromptu
Thank you so much for watching! We hope we can get our daughter on video to share her tips!
Thank you for watching!
Love the hat and hair 😊
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
I use reusable produce bags at the grocery store and try to get as many as of my veggies as possible using those bags in lieu of prepackaged veg. Every shopping trip makes a difference! Thank you for sharing your beautiful array of fruit and veg!
Sounds like you are doing a great job!
❤❤❤
PS. Love love you in that hat. So cute. Please make that more of your show, “Tammy hats”
Thank you for your sweet comment! I'm glad you liked the hat. Your support means the world to me.
I am glad you liked the hat!
Would love to see how your daughter shops !!
Ok!!
Hi
Thank you for the potato in the fridge tip! My potatoes go bad so quickly!
You are welcome!
I have tried this and they make the potatoes taste sweet!! Which is not what I want. I do not care for 'sweet 'potatoes. The cold causes some of the starch in the potato to turn to sugar- apparently. For my family is was a "yuck- what's on theses potatoes?" I eat a lot of potatoes so I don't have to store too many for too long. Just my two cents
???I wrote about washing produce that says “three times washed. “ we watched a program that told even though it says washed doesn’t necessarily mean it’s washed properly. We don’t trust them. I like your prep idea however I need to wash them. How would I do that and keep them from wilting ???
Maybe batch prep the ingredients and wash it just before you eat it? Its the moisture in the produce that starts to make it wilt or go slimy, so if you wash it first you'll have to figure out how to get it dry before you batch prep it.
I went to whole foods today and got mostly veggies! Mostly not organic tho; we have to focus more on cost. I like to think that eating non-organic veggies is better than eating processed vegan food 🤷♀️
I wanted to get a garlic head but it was $1 per head…nuts. Idk if its bc its whole foods or bc its whole foods in la.
My issue with costco is that the quantity is wayy too much for me and even me and my dad together.
Eating veggies is so much better then eating vegan junk food. Keep doing what you are doing!
Love the WFPB grocery hauls! Maybe change the description/add WFPB/Vegan grocery haul because there are so few out there that do grocery hauls that are WFPB and so many people like grocery hauls!
Great idea!!
Thanks for the tip - we changed it!
Happy new year 🎉💐
Happy New Year!
My husband likes that Green Tea from Costco
Great! Thanks for letting us know.
This was so incredibly helpful and inspirational, especially all the tips how you use the food. If your lunch is salad and starch, and dinners are smoothies when to you add soup and other veggies like Brussels?
On my way to Trader Joe’s this morning. 😊
Glad it was helpful!
@@NutmegNotebook Hi Tami, I am learning so much from you! If your lunch is salad and starch, and dinners are smoothies, what meal would you add soup and other veggies like Brussels sprouts? TY 😊
What do you typically eat for breakfast?
My first meal of the day is my chopped salad around 12:30.
Isn't the frozen bag of mixed berries you showed conventional? I didn't see organic on it...
What do you put in your smoothies for your evening meal?
Spinach, arugula, apple or banana and frozen berries, chia seeds, flax and hemp. Sometimes some raw beets.
How long does that haul last? I can't imagine that you eat all that food soon enough before it goes bad.
We wouldn’t buy that much food if it went bad before we ate it. The pears banana and mangoes take time to ripen. We freeze the banana once ripe to use in recipes. We have our grandchildren here through out the week and they help us eat the food too. We freeze or cook anything we can’t eat before it spoils.
Is the black and white monogramed bag from31? So cute!
Yes it is! It was a gift years ago from a friend and I love it!
@Tami ???? Did you clean out the garage refrigerator, too????? I have three refrigerators so that’s quite a job. 😊
Yes I did both of them! It’s not too difficult when they are almost empty. You are right, it’s a big job.
I prefer Wholefoods frozen corn over TJs. It’s sweeter and less stem on the corn kernels.
Good to know!
???hi there, do you or Tom have any problems with your blood pressure???
No we both have excellent BP thanks to a healthy whole food plant exclusive diet!
??? What do you put in your evening smoothies???
Spinach, arugula, apple or banana and frozen berries, chia seeds, flax and hemp. Sometimes some raw beets.
Do you just water or any plant milk? Thanks so much!
@@susannichols7383 just water. 💦
????? Are the refrigerator potatoes on lower shelf cold? The refrigerator is in????
They are on a lower shelf in the garage fridge.
@@NutmegNotebook is the refrigerator turned on?
Does Costco in other parts of the country have all the country have the huge selection of organic produce? Or is it a California thing?
Not all Costcos carry this much organic produce. Other Costci stores in our area don't have as much Organic as the store we shop it. It really varies.
Not as much here in Minnesota :(
Mine here in Massachusetts surely doesn’t!
Do you use up all the fresh produce in one week? I imagine the beans and such last longer, but just curious. You sure eat healthy and that is wonderful! Let us know how the green tea tasted please when you try it. Thanks for sharing your haul with us. I shop at Costco and Walmart mostly. Trader Joes once in a while but is further away.
It gives me anxiety thinking of needing to use up all this produce before goes bad 😬
@@laurenbendik2006 Me too. I know we wouldn't be able to eat all that in one week and I eat quite a bit of fruit and produce and grains...my husband not so much. I feel so guilty when I have to throw out the produce because I just didn't get to it. This year I am buying less at one time and just going back to the store when we need more. Trying to be less wasteful this year.
We do use it all up! Of course we do have our grand children often and they help eat the fruit too! Apples and oranges last a long time in the fridge. The pears will take a while to ripen. Potatoes will last a couple weeks in the fridge. The greens will all get eaten up in a week!
Those are good ideas!
