The choreography in this fight draws from their styles, tips, and expertise, as well as our own experiences with the Japan Tate Association. Dressed in traditional samurai attire, featuring kimono and hakama, we’ve infused this lightsaber duel with a unique twist that we hope is both visually stunning and deeply engaging. And just to keep things real, this episode was filmed as Kumiko and James also battled the Japanese summer heat-because nothing says dedication like overheating in a kimono to bring you this epic duel!

Meh. This fight was pretty bland and boring. It would’ve been better if you guys used actual techniques. All you did throughout most of the fight was just hitting each other’s lightsabers, literally meeting in the middle. You weren’t striking at each other. There was no target for the most part and that’s just too boring to watch. You’re supposed to be trained and disciplined samurai. Not barbarians who found a weapon and thought they were invincible. I’m sorry, but all I’m saying is that you could do better.

Thank you for your comment! You’re very right to your opinion. Your comments were indeed something that we thought about during the creation of the choreography, but I guess we fell short on your standards! And we will just accept that, and hope we can be better next time!
