@@Xen_19 The Macross' "legs" weren't really functional as anything other than propulsion. The arms were they only parts shown to be mobile. Well, guess the cannon as well.
I so badly want to see this in VR. The sense of scale would be awesome. I bet a lot of this could be ported into something like VRC without too much difficulty O:!

Yeah the divine beasts are fucking huge huh? I now picturing if canon took them back over and they were just like destroyed in the depths of like partially destroyed
This desperately needs to be a fully realtime 3D scene in PC VR / SteamVR. Would have liked to see some smaller Robotech (or Macross / Mospeada) mechs, from the Mospeada Cyclone to the Veritech fighters.
Was gonna say, Gurren Lagann is taller than 5m, as both Kamina and Simon both fit in side and at the size depicted, simon would be lucky to fit inside the mainbody on his own.
I was a bit sad no battlemechs from BattleTech were in this. I’d have also liked the hunter heavy gear from dream pod 9’s heavy gear, but that one is fairly obscure comparatively.
Very surprised to see nothing from Mechwarrior / Battletech in this, not even the Madcat. I was also hoping for Heavy Gear which was inspired by AT VOTOMS. Also Code Geass. Those are all similar mechs but I guess Titanfall filled in for them.

Cool video! One thing I do think was a missed opportunity was not having the Eggman robot from the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie alongside the one from the game. Maybe next time?
I did this for fun once. Rounded, the death egg robot in the second movie has to be at least 405 feet tall (or 123 meters), the same height as a 38 story building. I hope this is somewhat useful 👍🏻
I noticed that on all his videos, i was hoping for 3 simple ones. like Locust, Timberwolf, and then Atlas. And same on the tank video, maybe having a Manticore or something would have been nice.
@@LayneBenofskyMakes sense. I mean, An Atlas is 100 tons. Supposedly anyway. But when I look at an Abrams tank, which weighs in at 60 tons, things begin to not add up. An Atlas could stomp on an Abrams tank, under just one foot. Which makes ZERO sense. Like, are they trying to tell me that my Quickdraw 'mech is the same weight as an Abrams tank? Really? No. That is just insane. The most ridiculous of them all though are the light 'mechs. ALL of the light 'mechs are completely and totally outside the realm of reality. All light 'mechs are straight up impossible. You can't even point to any part and say "Yeah, that part is hollow." as an excuse, like you might be able to do with the larger 'mechs. A Jenner in real life would probably weigh around 150 to 200 tons. I may even be too conservative on that, it could be more. 35 tons is their listed maximum weight. And indeed, there are 60 ton tanks, that exist in the Battletech universe, that are smaller than a Jenner. Like, what?
Mechs of the battletech universe aren't made of steel (mostly aluminum/titanium alloys) so they can be a lot bigger and more mobile for their weight. The closest they get is a material called endo-steel and that's a lightweight composite with very little actual iron in it.
Wow, absolutely incredible! Definitely your best work yet on animating the models. I loved the detail put into the movement, the mesh/texture work, syncing the animations up to the sound effects for each mech, and the physical collision and damage effects. A few minor janky bits mostly with a couple of the walk cycles seeming a bit too fast paced or some minor sound balancing of walking effects being drowned out by the music, but overall an incredibly impressive display of growth and reach here. And of course there was no Imperator Titan from 40k so I need to dock .4 for that. 9.5/10 incredible work!
Me seeing protagonists (sometimes) fighting against these mechs/robots in person : Cool. Wish I could do the same! Me seeing it in first person : "F*ck this sh*t I'm out"
Unfortunate not to see a Warlord-class Battle Titan from Warhammer 40k in there, or even an Imperator-class, or perhaps one of the Tau battlesuits. At least 40k got some representation with the Dreadnought.
Great video! This "in first person" videos really let you grasp the size of things. If you manage to make them for VR that would push the awesomeness even further!
Planning a Japan trip and you made my day! So happy you slowed down the movements of the larger Mecha, really sells it. This is now my favorite size comparison video of all time.
Nice video as always! Lot of good choices and a few surprises (not many people remember/want to remember the Spider from Wild Wild West I'd say my favorite mechas are: - BT from Titanfall - AMP Suit from Avatar - District 9 mech - Power Loader from Aliens - AT-ST from Star Wars - AT-TE from Star Wars
THIS WAS AMAZING!!!!! the creative liberties on the presentation of all these mechs. the building crashes, and the ending. just wow. wow doesn't even give it enough credit. I remember watching your first few videos on planets and organism sizes. after seeing the universe scale thing and completely losing my mind, this is incredibly what you've done from an artistic standpoint.
For every movie or series with those insanely huge mechs, there should be like a spin-off where they show how they gather enough materials to make them...
@@romxxii I don't mean in real time, I mean it more like as a satire, to show just ridiculous the idea of building machines that large really is, lol. Like imagine like a group mining an entire planet to get one type of mineral or metal that they need, lol.

@@Xen_19 I've never seen Macross walk, but most of my experience is what got reboxed into Robotech
SDF-1 Macross actually fly through space (even during the transformation mode). When it crashed during the Zentradis' "Rain of death" only the interior part of the ship was repaired, making it looked like it was no longer operational.
@@Xen_19 The Macross' "legs" weren't really functional as anything other than propulsion. The arms were they only parts shown to be mobile. Well, guess the cannon as well.
@@hermeticallysealed1 Yep. The game Strike Suit Zero is as close as I've seen to a Macross experience.
I so badly want to see this in VR. The sense of scale would be awesome. I bet a lot of this could be ported into something like VRC without too much difficulty O:!
Now that you showcased that one Tripod from the 2005 War of The Worlds, I wonder - how does EVERY Martian War Machine/Tripod compare to one another?
That's a really good question. I too would like to see every tripod/war machine compared to each other.
I just love how everything gets increasingly more destructive as they get bigger and bigger XD
The last one's earth finger dip was terrifyingly accurate.
You are easilly the best of the size/data comparison channels. The work you put into these is unparalleled.
Love the mix of old and new mechas. This is one busy neighborhood.
And it used to be such a nice little park
Big O!!!! That is all I needed to see!!! ❤❤❤
And MechaGodzilla!!!!
Great video, altough I would have loved to see Megas XLR represented!
ED-209 was another one I felt was missing
Tenggen Topa Gurren Lagann wasn't there :(
The swagger from the Patlabor mech is great!
The exaggerated swagger of a police mecha
Alphonse and Nora straight to the hood.
I was gonna say, can they even walk like that?
Patlabor deserved another sequel, it is such a cool concept
@@Solizeus I read somewhere that Patlabor is getting a new installment this year called EZY
Kinda sad there was no battletech/mechwarrior mechs. Would have loved to see an Atlas or Marauder walking by.
Yes, I missed that too.
Your getting better, good job
You’re*
I SAID THIS TOO BUT F**K ALL FOR LIKES
Ohhh You just HAD to pull a Moon Crash on Earth move at the last scene 😂🤣🤣🤣
Well played 😂
Also as a 40 year old, I felt like a kid again seeing all these robots up close and personal, especially the Macross Robots, Gundam and Power Rangers 😎
Keep up the incredible job!
More like an Asura's Wrath scene.
@@matteste true 😆
@@mattestewith a bit of Gundam's Colony Drop
0:57 "Armored" as in "you are completely exposed and the machine sentinels can shred you to ribbons."
Holy sh*t, this is your best one yet! I always forget how *huge* Vah Naboris is 😳 and then that ending with SGGL, terrifying in an awesome way lol
Yeah the divine beasts are fucking huge huh? I now picturing if canon took them back over and they were just like destroyed in the depths of like partially destroyed
Ikr? For some reason, my mind put AT-ATs at the same size as Naboris
Awesome!
Missing the 10-20m BattleMechs from BattleTech / Mechwarrior.
I agree, I was patiently awaiting an Atlas or Marauder in there.
I quit watching the video after I realized he forgot BattleMechs.
Whats funny is for 3d model's they're the easiest to fine as the tabletop models are open source. Every MW game has the files ripped so 1-5 with rigs.
Hoped to see some as well but my geek brain is more than content with this.
Yes. On road trips on I 5 id daydream about battlemechs fighting over the country side lol
I was a bit surprised you didn't got for a next to represent armored core. Seeing as those are the biggest we get to pilot.
This desperately needs to be a fully realtime 3D scene in PC VR / SteamVR.
Would have liked to see some smaller Robotech (or Macross / Mospeada) mechs, from the Mospeada Cyclone to the Veritech fighters.
2:35 No way!!!!! You did the Alteisen????!!! I screamed!!! 👏👏👏👏😀👍
Was gonna say, Gurren Lagann is taller than 5m, as both Kamina and Simon both fit in side and at the size depicted, simon would be lucky to fit inside the mainbody on his own.
Gurren Lagann just casually walking around, knowing that he solos every mech in this video.
Antispiral
Gunbuster and ideon can beat gurren lagann
The Death Egg robot just walking out of the wall got me, like Robotnik's in there screaming about a stuck throttle and it won't stop going forward
Awesome stuff as usual; sad the camera man had to die at 4:43 tho.
Fantastic depictions. Around 5:00 is the beginning of the "WTF is even going on?"-Stage, XD
Thank you @ManniGaming for this recommandation.
Little disappointed you didn't do VOTOMS or Voltron, but this was still an epic video!
It would be cool if the next time we see a Scopedog along the other smaller mechas
I was a bit sad no battlemechs from BattleTech were in this. I’d have also liked the hunter heavy gear from dream pod 9’s heavy gear, but that one is fairly obscure comparatively.
@@Skigress Maybe we should encourage MBS to make a part 2? with Votoms, Valkyries, Voltron, BattleTech, Macross Frontier, ETC...
And if the mech is also a combination of mechs do we get to see it twice?
Very surprised to see nothing from Mechwarrior / Battletech in this, not even the Madcat.
I was also hoping for Heavy Gear which was inspired by AT VOTOMS. Also Code Geass. Those are all similar mechs but I guess Titanfall filled in for them.
Would've love to see Voltron added on to the list. 🤖⁉
I think the megazord was a bit too close to include. My age makes me biased, but I would have preferred Voltron.
And some G1 or other Transformers, like Optimus, Devastator or Metroplex.
Omega & Tripticon would've been an awesome add on as well@@docsavage4921
@@docsavage4921 These are piloted mechs.
Yes! Kept expecting to see a voltron.
MetaballStudios you should make your channel into a game where people can do their own size , bugs, all of that, so they can change the size or see who is the biggest I would really love to see if your channel would become a game or a website because I would really like to try new stuff. Please make your channel into a game or a website, please❤ I really like your channel
Was really hoping there would be some BattleTech rep just after the AC
I loled at 2:45 when homie just falls into the lake
Face planted
Amazingly done! Please do more videos with 1st person perspective. It puts the size in more context
2:43 MazingerZ disappearing in the most humiliating way 😂😂
That was fantastic! The finger burning in the atmosphere like an asteroid is an amazing detail!
Great work. Would have loved to see BattleTech/MechWarrior represented, but still a lot of fun to watch!
I noticed that on all his videos, i was hoping for 3 simple ones. like Locust, Timberwolf, and then Atlas. And same on the tank video, maybe having a Manticore or something would have been nice.
The scale on those has been all over the place at times, but I think they've more properly normalized them these days. :D
@@werewolfducky3149I would have been happy with just one representative. Preferably, an Atlas, given its iconic status.
Nice to see the big O such a good Noir anime
Me seeing protagonists (sometimes) fighting against these mechs/robots in person : Cool. Wish I could do the same!
Me seeing it in first person : "F*ck this sh*t I'm out"
What if you're in another one?
Unfortunate not to see a Warlord-class Battle Titan from Warhammer 40k in there, or even an Imperator-class, or perhaps one of the Tau battlesuits. At least 40k got some representation with the Dreadnought.
Great video! This "in first person" videos really let you grasp the size of things. If you manage to make them for VR that would push the awesomeness even further!
Planning a Japan trip and you made my day! So happy you slowed down the movements of the larger Mecha, really sells it. This is now my favorite size comparison video of all time.
Nice video as always! Lot of good choices and a few surprises (not many people remember/want to remember the Spider from Wild Wild West
I'd say my favorite mechas are:
- BT from Titanfall
- AMP Suit from Avatar
- District 9 mech
- Power Loader from Aliens
- AT-ST from Star Wars
- AT-TE from Star Wars
Te doy mi like porque a mí también me encanta DOCTOR WHO...
Tú si que sabes👏👏👏
This is the most epic shit!!! Please do more
4:30 so Dai gurren was packing a humungous metal schmeat
That ending was badass.
If you see this one day on the street, it means that the earth is in serious trouble.
Patlabor calmly walking by with no interference, is so Patlabor.
If Ota was driving it he will make a scene somehow
Awesome work. Also the asura's wrath reference with super galaxy gurren lagan was gold
6:07 Bro pulled a Wyzen!
I've been watching your videos for ages and I love them so much, and im so proud of how much you've grown and learnt 🥺
Man forgot about the Earthmover from overkill
For every movie or series with those insanely huge mechs, there should be like a spin-off where they show how they gather enough materials to make them...
it'd be about as fun watching Boeing build a 747: probably interesting only to other aeronautics engineers.
@@romxxii I don't mean in real time, I mean it more like as a satire, to show just ridiculous the idea of building machines that large really is, lol. Like imagine like a group mining an entire planet to get one type of mineral or metal that they need, lol.
