I apologize for the size of Gurren Lagann, apparently the information in the different Wikis is a bit confusing, it usually varies between 5 and 12m, but it seems that 12m is the most official height for this mecha. I hope you accept my sincere apologies.

Just being super nerdy here, 2:15 this is most likely AC Oracle, but without weapons.
And dreadnought is not a mech, you don't actually pilot it or able to leave it, it's a grimdark walking tomb, not a animu mecha.

    • @Santisima_Trinidad
      @Santisima_Trinidad 5 місяців тому +2

I mean, the Eva also isn't technically a mech, it's a giant flesh creature created from the seed of a godlike being which chased to earth millenia ago, most fused with the soul of a dead woman to be piloted by there child, thats got armour and restraints grafted directly onto its flesh to disguise the horror within and allow humanity a degree of control over it.
So bassically, the Dreadnough is a mecha, because it's a big mechanical looking thing with a person inside it, that isn't considered power armour.
Another video of theres has an imperartor titan in it, and thats definitely a mecha, although it seems pretty tiny, presumably because GWs offical numbers for titans are all wierdly low. Dreadnought is just undersized here though, cannonical size for it is like twice whats in the video.

Yo, first time caller, long time listener. As someone whose had experience with 3D modeling, rigging, and animation, I have great respect for the production of this video. Every walk cycle provided was quite unique, and true to every mech with their design, as well as how these animations relate to the environment. Like, are they trying to tell me that my Quickdraw 'mech is the same weight as an Abrams tank? Really? No. That is just insane.
The most ridiculous of them all though are the light 'mechs. ALL of the light 'mechs are completely and totally outside the realm of reality. All light 'mechs are straight up impossible. Planning a Japan trip and you made my day! So happy you slowed down the movements of the larger Mecha, really sells it. This is now my favorite size comparison video of all time.

Nice video as always! Lot of good choices and a few surprises (not many people remember/want to remember the Spider from Wild Wild West
I'd say my favorite mechas are:
    - BT from Titanfall
    - AMP Suit from Avatar
    - District 9 mech
    - Power Loader from Aliens
    - AT-ST from Star Wars
    - AT-TE from Star Wars

    THIS WAS AMAZING!!!!!
the creative liberties on the presentation of all these mechs. the building crashes, and the ending. just wow. wow doesn't even give it enough credit.
I remember watching your first few videos on planets and organism sizes. after seeing the universe scale thing and completely losing my mind, this is incredibly what you've done from an artistic standpoint.

For every movie or series with those insanely huge mechs, there should be like a spin-off where they show how they gather enough materials to make them...

it'd be about as fun watching Boeing build a 747: probably interesting only to other aeronautics engineers.

@@romxxii I don't mean in real time, I mean it more like as a satire, to show just ridiculous the idea of building machines that large really is, lol. Like imagine like a group mining an entire planet to get one type of mineral or metal that they need, lol.
