That was a beautiful game from Rus, I didn't expect it to go that way at all when the English keep was up, up on villagers, and heading to imperial.

I know it's only visual, but canceled buildings really shouldn't leave the same ruins as completed buildings.
Keeps in particular: they're canceled more often than other buildings and cancelling at low completion somehow leave ruins more massive than the scaffolding they were made from.
Rant over.
I feel like it's a programming problem. When you are constructing a building, if the enemy damages it and you cancel the construction, the game counts as 1 building destroyed for the enemy, thus ruins are left as a result of "razed buildings".
They still haven't figured how to make cancelled construction animation without just poof gone or they just :whatever" and move on to better works. Collapsing scaffolding without or minimum trace can help cleaning the area a lil bit.
absolutely! I have the same feeling about canceled buildings. It looks so weird when a keep just started to be built. You see the construction and the first stones on the ground, then it get canceled and the building is getting instantly finished to fall apart.
About 3 months ago I was watching a guy on aoe4 world called "2 hunting cabins". I think he has since changed his name, but every time he played he would do this with, you guessed it, 2 hunting cabins.
I thought no one used Horse Archers as Rus anymore. But they are just so good! I really dig the knights + horse archers + warrior monks combination.
I love how historically accurate this game was made while retaining a high level of playability.

I used to do in campaign missions, just lots of hunting cabins, gold problem forever solved. Its funny that it takes a while for really good players to even attempt at doing things differently. Guess the thought is "dont fix what aint broken", the thought should be "how do i fix it to be broken"

Man we either need a hunting cabin buff, or free forestry to rus vils. They are actually not bad when you play the civ as you should be. And for a civ that goes for scouts, its weird that Malians have the warrior scout variant, should we get one for Rus as well?
I don't even play AoE4, but your streams are still very entertaining and easy to follow.
Rus could have dropped militia during the push as he was aging up with Abbey
i've tried the hunting cabin dig a few times but it requires a bit of micro that i'm not capable of..
it's realy good if you have the micro to dedicate to it

To be honest I’m surprised it took this long for somebody to do this. I thought about this when I first started watching aoe4 pros, but I didn’t know enough about the game to bother asking why nobody did that. Really cool to finally see it in action.

Did I see correctly that Hunting Cabin in the end was generating the same amount of gold without all the trees around it as it generated at the beginning? Does it only counts in the beginng of building a Hunting Cabin how many trees are around? And the gold generation no longer changes when the trees are cut down?

Yes, Hunting Cabins value is determined when they are built, and it doesn’t change as the trees are chopped later on.

nope. It's similar to the Malian pit mine. After you mine all the gold, the pit mine still produces the same amt of gold.
@@Eoin1 What if the pit mine is burnt down after the gold is depleted, does it leaves behind a "mini landmark" to be repaired, where the gold pile was?
