I love when the muscle of the team is actually pretty intelligent even if they’re not at all subtle and act kind of impulsive. Really refreshing compared to the “idiot bruiser”.

@@LyvGameri mean people having been asking for an animated series wayy before Microsoft bought out blizzard, so thats kind of a moot point, it really doesnt matter, even then isnt the war mainly about exclusives, as far as i know overwatch is on PlayStation and Xbox.

I find it interesting how Reaper is sorta developing with the Talon team he’s with. Like at 3:32 where he nods at Sombra rather than being his typical brooding self
The trust too, I also thought he was gonna tell her like nah we gotta dip
To be honest, Mauga kinda stole her "Mischievous but effective" role she used to have, except he actually was thinking about the Team's mission as opposed to Sombra, who had her own goals before. Now, she's just trying to get the job done and annoyed at Mauga for messing it up - until he reveals he one-upped the original objective.
Reaper may be brooding but he’s always been a soldier he follows orders to a T and gets the job done he’s not a loose cannon like mauga. He became apart of talon because he would do the dirty work others like soldier couldn’t do

When doom asked sombra and reaper to deal with mauga, i think it's because he's actually afraid of mauga's cage fight 😂
I wouldn't call it a nerf we got absolutely buffed getting to stay in the fight longer and move around alot more it was 100% a buff

Very interesting lore additions, Talon is working behind Null Sectors back, makes me wonder if that Zen scene at the end was actually talon getting an insurance policy knowing how close him and Ram were.
I am so excited for what happens. Both Talon and Overwatch want him like he’s an important piece for something. I really wanna bet that he actually managed to get away from Talon by fighting back. Like a sudden fight scene with his orbs.
Real nice that Talon is getting more fleshed out lore wise, tonme they all have such unique and interesting backgrounds that are always great to see touched on.
I still hope one day we get a Reaper animated short. Theres still so much mystery behind him that is just begging to be told.
Reaper's like the third character they've ever designed and we still have no idea what his current face looks like. Much less what made him make this 180 from Overwatch to Talon.

@@alexandredesouza3692to be fair it isn’t a complete 180, he was in blackwatch, already making questionable decisions (remember retribution?), working with Moira (and getting tested on), and is implied to have to do with the downfall of overwatch
@Tantrum2u It was a slow 180. He was the Leader of Overwatch before willingly moving to Blackwatch and doing the rest of what you just mentioned.
Still really cool and so many questions. Why choose to step down? Why create blackwatch? Why agree to become Moira's lab rat? Why destroy Overwatch and join Talon?

I would actually LOVE this art style in an animated series format. It's gotta be at least a lil easier than the Disney quality normal trailers.
Depends. In some cases, 3D animation is easier and less costly. It's why Disney doesn't really do 2D animated movies anymore.

@splinter4161 I reckon this style is cheaper than what Disney use to do with 2D, since they tended to strive for very smooth animations for their 2D movies.
On the other than, 2D animated TV series are more common than 2D animated movies (the standard of quality is lower), so maybe this style could work for an Overwatch series.
I love how this man alerted the enemy team, left his DPS to fend for themselves, charged the enemy back line, took the objective & had play of the game 🤦♂️

glad we got some real character development with mauga rather than what happened with lifeweaver and illari. Mauga being portrayed as a brutish brawler who does stuff for the fun of it is great and all, but showing that he thinks and plans on the same level as the others really makes him whole.
I like the little nod to the recent Sombra rework. Since her translocator is damaged she couldn’t TP back to where she planted it, and she was only able to use it over a short distance.
Don't misunderstand, that was a different translocator. She didn't go back to the same spot and pick up the broken one near all the explosions and fire and stuff.

I love how their whole communication system can be brought down by destroying a singular little antenna outside the ship with not a single ounce of protection or security
The null sector refers to their null brain it seems
Null sector is really not secured with their ships since they be making so many of them. Like we saw 3 of them and canonly 2 of them are destroyed (Rio and Gothenburg+Mauga). I wonder how big Null Sector really are.

Better animation than most studios these days. Proof they could pull off a series. I'd LOVE to see more of this art style in the future.

This is so awesome. I love when we get Reaper content, he’s so cool and I love the way they made him move. I also love how even though he is a brute, Mauga is very smart. I hope we get more animated stuff like this in the future
Mauga isn't just a loose cannon. He is a accurate and precise loose cannon
1. Reaper and Sombra functioning more like a team that actually has a level of trust between them is nice to see.
2. Mauga being a chaotic brute who loves to fight, but one with the intelligence and skill to back it up is a pretty deadly combination.
Goes to show how smart mauga as a character

There aren't enough statues on Easter Island to express the sheer level of BRUH.
What makes this interesting is how talon is fighting null sector, when cannon calls rammatra is a part of talon and leader of null sector.
Raises questions when you think about it.
I doubt Talon is interested in taking sides when their mantra is survival of the fittest vibe.
Talon is secretly undermining both ramattra and the rest of the world. Their whole goal is chaos so them aiding null sector is a means to an end.
Rammattra isn't apart of Talon. He was being assisted by Talon to kick-start his revolution. After they did their part, Talon probably took this opportunity to do what they initially wanted to do and strip away Null Sector's technology. They figured they could probably only do it if Null Sector was too busy to focus on them.
Doomfist is all about building strength through conflict
He helped Ramatra kickstart his revolution, now he wants to reap Ramatras strength: his technology
@@ovencake523i always thaught talon deleloped technology for null sector. But more likely vishkar industries. But still raises some questions like why is vishkar hiding things from talon, i thaught talon kinda owns vihskar since Sanjai is part of the Talin "high" table
It feels like they kinda poked fun at Sombra's rework at the end. lol

Never knew someone can get into sombras nerves.
Sombra has gotten serious in OW2. Wow.
Mauga took away her spotlight so now she has to be serious to do the job and so Reaper trusts her more now.
I think this is one of those missions where there’s not of personal priority. Like the mission in Russia, she wanted more power and information with the Prez so she did not kill her therefore she purposely jeopardized the mission. This mission is simply just getting data to build their own thang so there’s not a lot of interest in her perspective.
I Like how mauga is a friendly and care free guy but under the smile is a scary, menacing and clever beast.

I love how we get more talon lore. Apart from the infiltration short which was released like 6 years ago we don't really know how they operate.
Mauga is the one guy who knows that stealth is ALWAYS optional.

Listen, I don't even play Overwatch 2, but this trailer have EVERYTHING for a great animation series. I was laughing, smiling, and just enjoying everything from the Heroes. Mauga!

Actually freaking cool. More evidence that this ip has so much potential if Blizzard can turn things around now with Bobby Kotick gone. It won’t be easy and everyone will still remember the past, but I’m hopeful that Microsoft will at least improve the situation from what it was at before
