WOW! I'm thinking if they ever make The Night Killers, David Duchovny in a Kolchak outfit would be fun and remove the "Blue Checkmarks" from the current production standards.
Thanks for the info on this third movie concept and script, Mike. I'd have loved to have seen it! Whenever I think of the series, I want more -- one season was not enough. BTW, Brian Cranston would make a superb Carl Kolchak if the series were ever to be reincarnated.
It is incredible that the Matheson book with all the Night Stalker scrips is long OOP and copies are through the roof expensive. All they have to do is put it on Kindle etc and they'd get thousands of downloads.
They could do the third movie today, but Base it in that era. The only person I can think of to play Kolchak is Owen Wilson. The rest of the cast is up for dibs,
I remember the 1st movie I started watching the series, but the episodes seemed to stop being about monsters, etc. It seems like it became more of a regular detective show.
I always thought that the third movie was tabled because Jeff Rice - who created the character of Kolchak - sued the producers of the television series because he was not acknowledged as the creator and they proceeded with the series without his involvement. As I recall, they settled out of court, but the network cancelled the series anyway. And then no one wanted to do a third movie in any case. You don't want to do a movie with a guy who just sued your a__s and for good reason.

Indeed, Mulder replaced Kolchak for the X-Files, he would be a strong candidate.
HORROR MIKE YOUR MOVIE LOOKS AMAZING!!!!! Congratulations!!!
Thank you, I appreciate it!

Thanks, Ricky, and I think Vincenzo would be annoyed;)

Yes, they would have to make the third Night Stalker film set in the 70s!

They had all kinds of weird creatures in the Night Stalker series including headless motorcycle riders, androids, swamp monsters, and zombies!
