I actually have listened to Animenz’s version played at Animenz Live 2015. Ano Hana is one of my favorite anime, I really love the quiet part at 3:19. He played both harmony and melody on his right hand. It is quiet, warm and lyrical. I feel so nostalgic. Thanks so much for doing this arrangement, I love it so much!
DAMN this is just too beautiful, i love how you filler fits soo good between the melody in the beginning until the chorus, and damn when the chorus start the dynamics, this made me almost cry xDD too much memories from back then, 2:00 i really like that litle build up there, and damn the bass at the last chorus it hits hard in the feels such a nice and unforgettable song, for me its similar to ichiban from angel beats, it has the same amount of feels and a nice throwback and thiis song never gets old. really nice arrangement ! love every part, nothing is overused, its really interesting while keeping the flow and feel of the song it actually made me tear up xDD glad to see you again ! cant wait for next week :P

Beautiful. Though I know it was late, I watched the anime only in October, 2019. Thankfully though, I understood all there was to understand. I felt the sadness and melancholy that the characters felt. This rendition of Secret Base was played almost entirely in legato, unlike the prancing, stacatto-ish original. It multiplied the feeling of sadness, of loss, and of yearning. Thank you for this, Animenz. This song means a whole lot more to me now.

Holy crap the timing, I just finished rewatching this series yesterday! The way this song kind of builds up is so great. I gotta say every time you do an arrangement of a song I like it's always really special. Whenever I go looking on youtube for a cover of a song that is on my mind I always come to your channel first since if you've done it, I know it will be great. Really well done!!!! I love pianists who put so much thought on articulation instead of just hitting the right notes or go unnecessarily berserk. Brilliant!
I love your left hand rythm so much, it has all the energy and lifeliness of menma, while still containing the dark sound which induces sadness, and at the same time closure and safety of being home

I actually have listened to Animenz’s version played at Animenz Live 2015. Ano Hana is one of my favorite anime, I really love the quiet part at 3:19. He played both harmony and melody on his right hand. It is quiet, warm and lyrical. I feel so nostalgic. Thanks so much for doing this arrangement, I love it so much!

9 years later and I never get tired of listening to this song
I love how animenz do not add a lot of techniques to show off his skill in this song. With a few notes, it conveys the sorrowness much better
DAMN this is just too beautiful, i love how you filler fits soo good between the melody in the beginning until the chorus, and damn when the chorus start the dynamics, this made me almost cry xDD too much memories from back then, 2:00 i really like that litle build up there, and damn the bass at the last chorus it hits hard in the feels such a nice and unforgettable song, for me its similar to ichiban from angel beats, it has the same amount of feels and a nice throwback and thiis song never gets old.

The moment I read one of his favourites I thought Aria:) Got introduced to Aria by Animenz the first time he came over to Hong Kong, but I wasn't able to appreciate it then, during those late high school years. Now that I've begun watching (somewhere midway in college), I can't help but admire the warmth of the Aria touch:')

After listening to TheIshter's version for so many years, this variation feels pretty refreshing and new. Love the left hand patterns, really brings out the rhythmic patterns 🎹🎵🔥😆👍🏻

As every week passes, it begins to feel more and more like the pre-2017 anime piano era, with quality Animenz uploads and Ishter uploads to look forward to consistently. The community has come a long way since then, but just seeing the ogs back really makes me feel nostalgic. Even Zengarang is trying to work his way back into it 😉. Beautiful. Though I know it was late, I watched the anime only in October, 2019. Thankfully though, I understood all there was to understand. I felt the sadness and melancholy that the characters felt. This rendition of Secret Base was played almost entirely in legato, unlike the prancing, stacatto-ish original. It multiplied the feeling of sadness, of loss, and of yearning. Thank you for this, Animenz. This song means a whole lot more to me now.

Also sounds like you need a Seaboard or something lol. Hopefully in this decade piano modeling will sound a lot more realistic because with the right tools we can add "vibrato" to that

Holy crap the timing, I just finished rewatching this series yesterday! The way this song kind of builds up is so great. I gotta say every time you do an arrangement of a song I like it's always really special. Whenever I go looking on youtube for a cover of a song that is on my mind I always come to your channel first since if you've done it, I know it will be great. I really wish there was an Animenz arrangement for every song :P
