Insanely Huge. Especially knowing Hans is 6'6" tall and 400lbs. Imagine just Dan holding it by himself. Dang! Can’t wait to get my hands on one of those 9” Carvers!
Dan, Hans and Josh, congratulations on your epic catch. Your leviathan is the largest musky I have ever seen caught in Lake Erie by a long shot. I am so incredibly happy for you guys. Bask in this moment and relish the memories. I would trade all of the harbor and river fish I've ever landed just to see a fish like yours. I am so proud of you guys. Well done, gentleman.
With how many walleye, perch, white bass, and drum there is to eat out there, it was only a matter of time for a giant muskie or pike to be caught in lake Erie.
Unbelievable! The only muskies i’ve ever seen are the ones that have come along and stolen my fish off my line 😳. Congratulations to you. What a thrill for you.
nice catch 👍I caught a fifty inch musky when I was 11 yrs. (1970's ) fishing with grandfather , drifting from lake Erie towards the peace bridge, but was only 15 pounds........I especially like the lure you made.....those Musky's get bigger than that, but are heavily fished. Mark S.
Just got my first musky about a month ago. I happen to be friends with a guide. I'll be going back for a bigger one but nothing like that awesome fish in this video.
Funny, but don’t give the dumb people bait. Enough people already think Muskies eAt AlL oF tHe WaLlEyE. When in reality they hardly eat any walleyes. Walleyes eat more walleyes. And virtually every great Muskie lake is great for all species. No coincidence.
It was 54.5 without tail pinch. We made a half ass attempt at a girth but we're getting blown into the wall. Appeared to be 30ish. Did not weigh it. But it was huge
If the shoe fits, wear it. I just didn't see the lure in the fishes mouth. Nice huge fish though. I've been fishing muskies since 1987 & still haven't caught a 50 pounder. Yours might even be over 60 pounds . Congratulations !
First you are wrong, it wasn’t a perchbait it was a plow which is way bigger - but gives you a sense for just how big Hans is that you thought that. And there is video of the fish going into the net. And you can zoom in on it and see it is a carver. You should probably put some salt on your foot before you shove it in your mouth. Look at the zoom angle ua-cam.com/video/D8aMnrXWQ3s/v-deo.html
@@fightfamilybuffalo The video you sent me shows a lure stuck in the net & a hand scraped by gill rakers & I could very well be wrong about the perchbait . But, I still can't make out the lure in the fishes mouth .
Insanely fat pig Goliath of a beast fish. Nice muskie fellas looked really difficult to hold up... what was the weight, length and girth of pigzilla musk?
Length is in the description (55"), girth isn't but I'd guess at least upper 20's and maybe even 30" on that hog. Unfortunately a weight couldn't be taken and still ensure the fish's survival, but it has to be at least mid 40s and probably pushing 50lbs
Don’t get me wrong I love my fishing but from all the videos I watch a lot of us need to work on our fish handling skills, after the fight and photos we release and it done for us but the fish have to rejuvenate and heal injuries incurred during the catch, this can lead to trophy fish dying and we have no clue, the future of fishing is important to me.
Bro that fish was handled perfectly. Barely out of the water for just a few seconds long video. Unhooked in a Beckman net while still in the water. Swam away strong. What are you even talking about? The future of muskie fishing should be important to all of us. And her genetics are still swimming and eating like the little piggy she is 🐷
Lol a Karen that I promise you would if we were face to Face ID say the same thing but all your tunes would change real quick, I didn’t say they did much wrong but what you retards aren’t understanding is that fishes entire life it’s been in the water and never had the weight of it’s huge body being pulled on by gravity like when out of the water it can hurt them internally for sure matched with already tired and struggling to breathe means you put fish back that end up dying and trophy fish that die really fucking sucks there’s one less good genetic for future trophies, suck my cock!
We had that fish out of the water for less than a minute.....swam off strong. I agree with you though....lots of people handle fish poorly. However.....if you are trying to act like we mishandled the fish....you are wrong.
Insanely Huge. Especially knowing Hans is 6'6" tall and 400lbs. Imagine just Dan holding it by himself. Dang! Can’t wait to get my hands on one of those 9” Carvers!
Congrats on a fish of a life time, and hats off to the captain for putting you on that monster… Great job Captain

Amazing!
Congrats guys!
Wow! Awesome catch! Congratulations sir!
Awesome work
Caught on a hand-carved lure? Can't imagine how rewarding this was. Insane catch - I'm still trying to catch my first musky lol
Easy to claim. Could b pure bs. That behavior is common
Wow, Insane catch nice job.
Wow awesome guys. U have to be really motivated to fish there
why you say that?
Awesome!
Congrats!!!!
Man nice work guys! Incredible size! Congrats...B. Piazza
King Muskie!!
Wooooo!
Lost a Musky trolling early in May on the western basin. Looked to be at least 45 inches. Hit a bandit
It was eating all the walleye stuffed with led.
Definitely has to slow them down.

Great fish fellas
So thick! Congrats on an epic catch! Subbed 🔔 !!
Thanks for the sub!
No doubt well deserved. Nice to see the hardcore musky guys get the big one.
that’s awesome!!!!!!
not many ppl musky fish on erie. but there are giants. caught 2 this year just randomly trollin for walleye
Dang! That huge muskie could've seriously hurt a swimmer. They can be dangerous.
A long and girthy girl. A fish like that is once a lifetime for some, never in a lifetime for most.
Great video!
How big?
Nice
Holy shit!!!
Curious. What were dimensions. Great fish. Pig without legs!!!

@@HansTheCarver amazing fish. I’m glad she was released safely. I’m sure it was a thrill.
OMG! Imagine the possible top end size one thousand years ago.
Did it make it back alive? as big as he is, it's harder to revive.
Yes....it was out of the water for less than a minute and kicked off hard. It's also cold water.
CPR?
Yes....she still lives
so what s that monster called? is that sea fish ?
A Muskellunge. The largest freshwater predator only native to the greatlakes.

What is a muskie?
What’s the length and girth?
55 inches.....girth was poorly measured but looked to be 30ish....
#BEAST WTG fellas!! Released.
I saw him pull out a perchbait in the sucker pattern on the other rod. We didn't actually see what the fish had in its mouth .

It probably has lead weights in it. 😂
And Muskie filets 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Big ass musky but I gotta say trolling has to be the worst and least exciting way to catch these fish.
I hope it went back 👍
Ofcourse it went back

My dad cought one not far from north bass in 81 that was 49 inches
Pisses me off these days cuz erie was full of em... every stream and river by me had or still has some musky in it
What pisses you off, that you never fished for them ?
Omg the bs . Not caught on that lure 😂😊
Nice try pal but I know a fish that's stuffed with lead when I see one 🧐🤔
No, but its an impressive specimen

Lk Erie?? Hell that's the GM Bldg in the background!! Sorry this is Lk St Clair!! Or the Detroit River!!! Sorry U haven't Fooled me!! 🙄

Detroit River.
