Corgi renovation Batmobile No. 267. Toy model cast.

- The Mittoy company, the owner of the Corgi brand, started the production of a very complex Batmobile cast model in 1966. This model had five versions and was still produced in the 1970s. It was very technologically advanced. He had a chainsaw in the front of the hood, rockets behind the car and active suspension.
To display the subtitles in your language in the movie, please press C on the computer or the three dots on the mobile phone in the movie.
Very carefully made figures of Batman and Robin additionally increased the interest in this model among children. My copy was in a residual condition. The metal of the front of the body was broken. I rebuilt the missing part with liquid metal. I also cast Batman and Robin figures out of polyurethane resin. I made new wheels because the old ones were very damaged.
I was able to do all of this thanks to my friends who sent me copy parts for my model. The Batmobile box was very advanced, it had a display insert and a user manual, a club card for young fans of the Batman series and an iron-on t-shirt with the Batman logo. Thank you for watching the movie, I publish videos with the repair of cars on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Tik Tok: Paul Restorer.
Cool restoration. Ironically my mother worked at the Corgi factory in Swansea in the 1960s and assembled that Bat Mobile. 🙂
Thank you very much . Cool
I have one not twenty feet away from me in the garage. Thanks Cymru-am-byth's mum! Sorry I bashed it up so badly
i had one of these when i was a kid, brings back memories, you could put matches in the launcher and LAUNCH EM!
Cool
Wow... I had that toy as a kid and felt this in my soul. Serious nostalgia.
I had one of these when I was a kid. Literally can't believe you even did the box. Mine was from "Santa" and it made a home in my Batman Lunch box.
Cool
"Holy restoration, Batman!"
Thank you very much
That's Hilarious, great comment!!!
WINNER
POW!
B:huh? R: Holy…because its full of holes. B: Oh
OMG!!!! i had that Batmobile when i was a kid!!! I remember the little flame shooting in and out when you moved the car forward and the little rockest that shot up with the metal wheel on the back! what great memories!
memories are the most important. Best wishes
I had it as well!
At 14:28, as the characters were slowly covered in pink goo, all I could hear was William Dozier saying, "Will the dynamic duo escape in time? Tune in next week for 'No Ooze is Good Ooze,' same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!"
Holy goo, Batman!
What about commissioner Gooden?
Boa Noite Paul !
Que Restauração Trabalhosa Mas Em Compensação Ficou Magnífico .
Muito obrigado
Another stunning restoration paul absolutely beautiful I remember my brother owning this model one of the Corgi greats brings back so many childhood memories once again thank u for sharing your amazing skills
Thank you very much

When I first saw the base I thought "He's gonna need a parts car", Then I remembered this is Paul he's gonna fix it. Great job, your work is inspiring.
Thank you very much Tim
Fantastic job restoring an iconic Batmobile 👍
I remember having one of these as a kid in the 80s. The rockets had been lost, of course, but replaced with matchsticks
Thank you very much
You're restoration was amazing, but the most impressive part was you were able to find the full packaging and instructions to repro. That blew my mind!
Thank you very much
I had one of these when I was young. That brings memories. Things were much better then.
Cool
I had this as a kid, I remember the rockets. Nice work
So did I; if I recall correctly, I also had the Green Hornet's car.
Thank you very much
Nice to see someone take their time and special care in their work. It shouldn’t matter to anyone else that it takes away the originality or a decal was different. It’s YOUR car.
Great job! That was a ton of work. It looks a bit incomplete without the red trim, though.
Thank you very much Antonio
wow this guy got the hands of a surgeon , great restoration and this is harder than he makes it look .
Thank you very much
Wow, I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid. I had the American version, which came with the Batboat on a trailer, which is why there's a hook on the back of the Batmobile.
The german version, too.
I had a Corgi Batmobile back in the day. Loved it!
Cool
I'd forgotten the box and suddenly I was 7 again.
Wow!
Cool
I still have this exact one. To be honest it is my sons now
I used to have one similar...I think it was Corgi...you pushed a button on the back and Batman and Robin would pop up alternatively and shoot...loved it
Cool
This was one of my first toy cars brilliant restoration as always
Thank you very much
@@PaulRestorer you are welcome
I got mine when I was in the hospital getting my tonsils out. My mom of course, and it totally brightened up what was a terrible experience. They kept me for 4 days due to Asthma so I got to watch my sister and all the other kids leave until it was just me. I loved the missiles but apparently my mother was not as keen as I was on them.
Thanks for that memory. It's been a long long time.
memories are the most important. Best wishes
Oh yeah! I have this exact toy from my father and I've been thinking about restoring it, but had no clue what to do so this is precious!
Cool
This was my favourite toy when I was a kid. I lost Batman and Robin when I was 3 years old and I’m still not over it.
Cool
Great memories! I can still hear my dad saying, "ya know, if you were smart, you'd keep it in the box."
Cool
This is so great! I still have mine with the figurines, got it in the early 70s - but the tires on mine are red. Paint is very worn from them but the blade still pops down! Don't have the rockets anymore thought. I have the boat as well. I really admire the amount of skill & detailed work you put into this project, great job!
Thank you very much Scott
I had one of those as a child, brings back memories of the good old days from the early 80s when life seemed so innocent and fun, how I miss those days!
Cool
WOW! Amazing job. I was a five year old in 66 when the series premiered. Or a few days or weeks from being five. Loved the original Batmobile. I never would think a toy this damaged could be repaired like this. Beautiful job. The instructions/display work is awesome!
Thank you very much Hugo
Even the paper work. Wow that wonderful
Thank you very much James
I actually had one of these when I was a little kid.
Cool
I had this one when I was a kid. Nice job.
Cool. Thank you very much
This brings back memories. I had a batman car and a James Bond car as a child. Nice job.
Thank you very much
I actually had one of those when I was a kid.
Thanks for the memory. 👍
Cool
I bought an old brass floor lamp at a yard sale years ago, and just this morning I laid it on its side to polish it. One of these batmobile toys is lodged sideways into a little groove in the underside of the base. I can't imagine how some kid managed to get it in there so tightly...I've tried hard to dislodge it, and it's not coming out.
I love your comment man haha :D! Everybody discovered things like this when we buy used stuff
I can hear boy wonder saying “ Holy crap Batman lm drowning in this silicone bath “
What car doesn’t look cool in shiny black paint!
Great Resto job
Merry Christmas
Thank you very much John
Had this one as a kid!
Cool
Just amazing work. Unbelievable what can be achieved. 👍👌
Thank you very much
Great work but no cigar...missing the day glow red pinstripes and red bat- symbol of correct style. Why go to such pains to only miss on such trivial points? The box and everything else is a work of art.
Exaaaactly! I was wondering the same thing. The Corgi never had the red pin stripes (at least not the ones I owned from the late 1960's and the one I still own from '78) but the red side bat logos are still made and can be purchased.
I used to own this as a kid. I also had the Bat Boat on a trailer and the Bat Helicopter.
Cool
Im glad you got a hold of this Batmobile. It finally got the TLC it deserves. Thanks for videoing your work. This is the first time Ive had the opportunity to see inside a Corgi Batmobile.
Thank you very much
I have 1 of these still. I even have the yellow missiles that shoot out them tubes at the back. Seeing you do this up brought back so many memories of my childhood.
Cool
Ah, the famous Batmobile. Every boy in school wanted one.
Cool
i could be wrong but does anyone else remember there being 3 red pellets that could be fired from the rocket launchers behind the cockpit ?
Yes and if memory serves me right, no spares.. Soon lost forever..
I was born in 62 and very much remember playing with this one and the Monkees car of the same period .Great stuff
Cool. Thank you very much
Very nice restoration. This version had the towing hook extension on the turbine exhaust for the Bat Boat on a trailer, which could be bought separately or a combined boxed set. Models without the hook had the exhaust flame connected to a crank on the rear axle that pulsed the flame in and out of the exhaust as the car moved.
Thank you very much
14:25 Looked like the ending of a Batman episode. "Are the caped crusaders doomed? Tune in next week, saaame bat-time, saaame bat-channel!"
Yep!
I have this batman car when i was 7 years old. Now I am 62
me too!
Dinky and corgi cars are the best during the 60s and early 70s. I missed those years when i was a boy and my parent used to buy for me all this wonderful cars.
Życzę Tobie i Twojej rodzinie miłego weekendu i pozostańcie bezpieczni i zdrowi.
Pozdrowienia z miejsca, gdzie stoi mała latarnia morska, a morze łączy się z Łabą.
😎👍🏼🇵🇱✌🏼🇩🇪👍🏼🤠
A legendary car...
(Actually two, because the Batmobile of the TV series was once a converted 55 Lincoln Futura but there was also a 58 Chev Impala that was converted into a Batmobile).
And now there is a Batmobile by Paul👍🏼😁.
Great work, I'm thrilled.
Even a missing chassis part is no problem😎👍🏼.
And the "crew" was made at the same time...😁
I also had the model as a child (only without Batman and Robin... somehow they both "disappeared"🤔🙄).
Thanks for sharing my dear Paul, definitely a thumbs up from me for this 👍🏼
(It's nice to see memories from childhood again).
Have a great weekend to you and your family and stay safe and sound.
Greetings from where the little lighthouse stands and the sea merges with the Elbe river.
😎👍🏼🇵🇱✌🏼🇩🇪👍🏼🤠
😎👍🏼🇵🇱✌🏼🇩🇪👍🏼🤠
Vielen Dank Paul
Fantastic job, I have fond childhood memories of this car, didn't realise it was supposed to have Robin it too😄
Thank you very much Rik
Restauração perfeita Paul, ficou ótimo!
Muito obrigado Mauricio
I had this as a kid. Used to use matchsticks as rockets.
That was the 80s, so it had already notched a few years up by then. Think it's still around somewhere.
Cool
I had one of these when I was 8. What a nostalgia blast.
Cool
Wow! I had one of these. I totally forgot about that Batman relief on the underside, that brought back memories.
Thank you very much
The bat emblem on the door is wrong. It is a red-orange bat that is supposed to match the pinstripes on the car. I had an original Corgi Batmobile when I was young. And it had rubber tires and with pot metal wheels that also had orange bats on them.
The one in the video is the later edition without bat logo on the wheels. Neither that one or the earlier one had the red pinstripes on like the actual Batmobile. This really annoyed me as a child so I painted some on it which, although a bit DIY certainly brought it to life. Still got it, perished tyres and all.
I had the same car toy when I was little
Oh yes, I remember it myself however got it as new in the early 1980s.
I haven't seen one of these in decades, I used to have one when I was little back in the 70s. The one I had the fridge would pulse in and out of the back, and a projectile fired from out of the pipes on the top back. Truly amazing work you do
Cool. Thank you very much
Still have this toy to this day alot better shape tho. But wow looks good now great job
Thank you very much
I had that toy, mint in box. Came with little yellow missiles, Batman and Robin!
My mother gave it to my nephew who destroyed it no time!!
oh, that's a pity
"Holy forgot to do the 3 missiles, Batman"
I mostly don't look at UA-cam to any film. But this is really the best i ever have seen on UA-cam. What a passion, what a Artist, what a Craftsmen.
I take my hat of for you Sir. This is the most nicest thing i ever have seen.
All the tools he developed to restore the cars go's on to the most unbelievable things i have seen. Great RESPECT Paul. I am impressed.
Greetings from the Netherlands a true Fan of your Artwork
Henk
Thank you very much Henk
I remember having one of those. Used to fire rockets out the back. When toys were made properly.
Cool
Great restoration, except no red lines and wrong Bat symbol.
Thank you very much
Awesome restoration, but where are the rockets, the first thing every kid looses, lol😊
Thank you very much
Yep lost mine in about 30 mins 1966 😂
Insanely good, even the box reproduction is A1. Very nice job indeed. 👍
Thank you very much
I remember that car so well I used to play with it all the time, must have been in the late 60s , excellent work
Thank you very much Martin
WOW i had one forgot about till now
Cool
I had this toy. I also had the plastic Bat-boat and trailer that it pulled. Sadly they're long gone.
Cool
Wow! Talk about getting knocked upside the head with a nostalgia punch. The flip out front bumper blade was too cool!
Thank you very much
I have the utmost respect for anyone who has the Patience and range of skills to do this, I loved making airfix kits as a boy & thought I had patience! I don’t have what it takes now, great job, don’t listen to the critics, your in a VERY small percentage of individuals that can see this area of restoration through to the end!👍👍👍👍❌👍
Thank you very much Stephen
Holy shite....These algorithms have access to parts of my childhood that I'd completely forgotten about...!!!
Cool
Well yes, but how about a _demonstration_ of the "rocket launcher" or the "bumper cleaver" or the "exhaust flame" features..?? I mean, that's what was _cool_ about this model. Firing lit matches from the rocket launcher. Those were the days.
Hah yeah, house full of "smokers" and wool rugs so even the worst burn was just overlooked as "smurf bites". 😉The little red(?) plastic rice like 'rockets' got lost pretty fast, so after that it was a natural progression to the most dangerous thing you could ping out of there, occasionally if you got the placement right, you could set off a paper cap and fire a pin out of it. Yup, back when the only cure for boredom was finding new ways to permanently disable yourself with the most innocuous of items. 🤣
Those were the reasons I watched. I had one of these cars as a kid and I was waiting to see it's mechanical features demonstrated on this video.
Really enjoyed watching this restoration. I had this car as a child and have memories of playing with it. 👍👍👍
Thank you very much
If you are going so far to make it look that "AWESOME" put on the red accents on the front and sides of the car.☝️
OUTSANDING JOB MAN!!🤯😳 This was my favorite toy when I was 5 years old!
I had the bat boat that you pulled behind the batmobile! I also had the bat chopper! WOW!! Thank- you for letting remember what it was like being a kid again!! Thanx Paul 🥰
Thank you very much
Should be red Bat symbol and red pinstripes . Lots of replacement. As opposed to restoration . But lots of effort put into the job. Nice.
Thank you very much
the saw on front was menacing. i had the small and the bigger version of this corgi classic. recall being able to launch matchsticks out of the back of one of them
Cool
I fired one and it went in my older brother's ear. He had to go to the doctor to get it removed.
@@PaulRestorer
Cool.
I got one Christmas ‘68, traded it in the early seventies for I don’t remember. Wish I still had it. Great job. Way intricate.
Thank you so much
was supposed to be a red bat on the door to match the original, no?
I used to have this model, Kinda remember it shoots matchsticks out
Exactly - at least mine did
Thanks for the nostalgia. Toys were fun back in the 50s, 60s and 70s.
Thank you very much
Oh man! I had one of these when I was about 8 years old. I left it in a sand pile we had been playing in next to the house. Went out late the next morning to discover that the sand had been used to mix cement to pour a patio slab in our neighbors backyard. Never saw it again. 😭
pity
14:26 You'll never get away with your dastardly deed Joker!
Cool
you could hook the bat boat on to the back of it.
Exactly, I just don't have it yet
Wow, truly Expert Level restoration. Very impressive. I've loved the 267 since 1970, when I was 5 years old and my neighbor had one. I was so taken with it that when eBay became a thing it was one of the first things I bought. Let me know if you ever take on outside work. Again, great job, it was fascinating to watch.
Thank you very much
I've got a smaller version of that in a Hot Wheels case up in my attic. When my nephew comes to visit, I let him play with them.
Cool
14:29 - the point of the video where the announcer says "Will Batman and Robin survive the vile vats of goo?? Has this villain beat our dynamic duo once and for all!??!?!!?!? Find out tomorrow, same bat time same bat channel!!!"
I read that in the announcers voice
Cool
@Powerflinch Someone beat ME to it months ago! :D
@@alteredstateskustom !!YES!!
Wrong Bat sign on the door. It's the Burton's Batman sign but car is Adam West's. Actual sign is the red one.
I had one of these and it was my favourite thing, along with Evel Knievel.
Cool
When I was a little kid , like before school even , my grandma took me to store after store trying to find the bat mobile. It had to have the little things that shot out of those three pipes behind the seat. I’m 56 now , but I remember it perfectly. We lived in Roseland Chicago and went from store to store up and down Michiana ave..I don’t remember us finding it l but eventually I got it.
Cool
I had this toy
Cool
Very masterfully done. I don't want to seem picky but the windshield Glass was not tinted blue. I religiously watched the series as a kid in black and white as well as color.
In the TV series no, the Corgi car, yes. I've still got mine and the glass is blue, ish
I'm confirming this
Yes
My Corgi has blue glass
One is broken, need another and I lost Robin
Blue on mine as well and on the boat!
There were many versions..one did have clear glass,I still have it. Bat insignia on wheel hubs on earlier model and I think they painted the figures differently too.. I think there was a budget version with no figures but might be wrong..
Impresionante, como siempre, te superas 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Mujchas gracias
THANK YOU for showing us how your axle welding machine works! 😁😁😁
Best wishes
Holy cast In plaster Batman ! Can batman and Robin survive ? Stay Tuned , same Bat time Same Bat channel ....
Cool
`anyone else remember having this exact "car" but flying it around the house as though it was a spaceship?
me.. are they worth anything today"
While of course chanting
"Danna Danna - Danna Danna
Danna Danna - Danna Danna
Batman - Batman - BATMAN!"
Good Grief! That is probably the most extraordinary restoration yet! Fantastic work! I really enjoyed watching that.
Thank you very much Carl
