I've watched quite a few reviews of the mouse, many from much larger channels. Your review was the most comprehensive and I love how you include all the little nuanced details about actually using the mouse. Great content, great channel. I pulled the trigger and bought this mouse. I used your code, thanks for the review!
I've been loving my HSK after the adjustment period (coming from a Gpro X Superlight). I feel so much faster with it in comparison. Like you mention - most of the issues go away or are greatly lessened on a cloth pad. I would like the mouse to be a bit wider and have a bit less downward slope on the buttons. Without grip tape on the buttons, my fingers slide forward in game and a flatter button shape would fix that. I think the HTX would be the perfect middle ground - 90% of the benefit of the HSK but with added stability and consistency. Perhaps I'll buy one some day.
Yes sir! Thanks for sharing your experience Flux 😁 have you seen my script for the HTX? You got the ref to %s very close! it's a rapid mouse, but I don't think it's beneficial "doubling down" with a speed glass pad and a speedy mouse, I think, like Thanos wisely mentions - a good balance is important.
All these points are spot on. I've had the mouse for much shorter and could relate to all of it. I don't think its a skill issue at all, some things are just objectively harder because of the mouse. For example, you could technically play starcraft with your feet, but you will always perform better not doing so. Someone might come in and tell you that its a skill issue with you, that you're not good enough to play using feet, but you will always know its bs. I do main the mouse because despite it all I do enjoy it. But im not delusional about it being perfect or superior to other mouses either
Gotta appreciate that thumbnail 🔥 I agree with the high highs and the low lows using this mouse (skill issue) but I do really enjoy it for tracking games. Clicking scenarios in Aim Trainers are a pain. Good point about the mouse clicks
I've found my clicking has improved with this over a Superlight purely because of the increased speed😅 Biggest benefit was fast target switching scenarios I think
I loved the long term review brother. I think the mouse really shows off anyones flaws in aiming. You can target aim training to fix these problems, but i can see what you mean by the highs and lows. I think over time you really become accustom the the mouse and those issues begin to go away
Thank you v3n0m as always bro, I have seen you play - you don't suffer from skill issues my friend! 🤙 and I am sure I'd get used to the quirks if I spent more time with it - the only reason I tried other things was because I wanted to do some more reviews, if it wasnt for that I'd probably still be using the HSK now. Thanks for the support bro, always appreciated 🙏
Cheers xjasonx, I'm glad you enjoyed it bro :) if you have more self control than me I'd recommend waiting for my next review (the HTX), that's probably the better option for most people in my opinion 👍
@@Log_Pile Allright iam waiting for that :D i already have a very light mouse (pro superlight) but iam still struggeling with having not enough room to swing the mouse. especially on low dpi games, since iam not the "lift"- guy
I went thru the sense adjustment process you went through, but decided to just go back to my normal sense and have been happier going back. The battery does get low fast, but notably, it also charges unusually fast as well. I play 4k only... so I let it get down to about 50% battery and then charge it for like 5 minutes and boom, it's 100% again. (But I do agree, it needs improvement.) I also agree with the almost complete majority of this review..... I like this mouse better on a soft pad... The Artisan Raiden Xsoft is currently my favorite combo with this mouse. I've been maining this mouse now for about 2 months, but the 2 months before that, I alternated for the same reasons you discussed, some days feeling unstoppable and others just a little out of control, so I alternated for the first 2 months between the HSK Pro 4k and the HSK Plus 4k, and I'm still not 100% sure which of the two I like better, but favoring (or favouring 😉) the Pro lately. Next, regarding the stability, I'm a big fan of the SoSpacer, a grip product that really helps me lock my fingers into this and every other mouse. I have no connection with them, so just an honest plug for a newish product I really enjoy and recommend trying... you'll either be in love or it won't be for you. But it's particularly helpful with fingertip grip, imho, because a consistent grip placement really helps train your motor skill memory and levels out those consistency fluctuations. One thing about this mouse I feel lacks are the feet. They are just not thick enough. A little more height to avoid unintentional contact with the bottom of the mouse and the pad would be nice. This occurs more on soft pads, of course. But unfortunately, I can't find ANY mice feet out there for sale for this mouse aside from the G-wolves standard replacements. I just ordered some alternatives that I think I can make work though, so we shall see how that goes. Lastly, the only thing I'm slightly hesitant about in this review is the click weight. I totally get why a heavier click affects your mouse movement, especially on a glass pad. Personally, I have the same issue, but even with heavier or lighter mouse click buttons, I'm not able to to reduce my tendency to refrain from unintended click movement unless I simply teach myself not to let it happen... So to me, that issue (again, just me personally) is less related to click weight and more related to giving the mental attention needed to kick the habit of striking my mouse clicks more recklessly than necessary. The reason I point this out is that mice with extremely light clicks cause another problem for me, which is that I become simply incapable of resting my index finger on the left-click button and can't maintain contact with it without erroneous clicks occurring randomly... So, personally, I like enough resistance to allow me to remain in tactile contact without unintentional clicks. And incidentally, the SoSpacers have helped me with this issue as well... For some reason, I'm able to maintain contact with the SoSpacers a little easier without clicking by mistake. PS: On Twitter, I'm SpoonieLuv and just ordered the Dink Trackstar, which you asked for my feedback on, so that's why I figured I would also chime in here. PPS: Really thoughtful and solid review Log Pile! I appreciate your attention to the details that you discussed here and your careful articulation of them to ensure clear comprehension for the listener. Very well done.
Hey Spoonie! You win first place for the longest comment! I appreciate it a lot. The point you make on the battery is interesting, i didnt realise it charges so fast. I also have never tried an artisan lad 😬 i had my eye on the raiden before i found the Cerapad Kin, but I ended up loving my Kin so i didn't get one in the end. I'd love to try the HSK Plus, but i cant justify buying it right now with so many other bangers coming out in the next month or so. I've had my eye on the SoSpacers, I will definitely get some, i have no idea why i havent already ordered them tbh with you 🤣 its interesting you mention mouse feet as an issue, i will take a look at r/mousereview and see if the community has any recommendations. You raise an interesting point on the click weight, i hadn't thought about that angle honestly. a very fair observation 👏 I'm excited to hear how you get on with the trackstar!

Aerox 3 skates also work well, they're basically just big dots. i also used the viper mini skates on mine for a while but they're not a perfect fit and you'd need to sand the front edges down for a neat fit. i hope that helps.
@@Log_Pile Curious to know how you like the SoSpacers! One little trick you might want to try is... once you stick them on, you will likely want to keep readjusting them until you find the perfect placement for them, but the stickiness (is that a word?) wears off or actually comes off... So I usually cut a little circle of regular mouse grip (like any mouse grip DIY sheets) and stick the SoSpacer to that and then stick the grip to the mouse... Because normal mouse grip has a bit longer stick, unstick and restick life. PS: Most people don't do this, but I'm one of those people that adjusts things until I break them.
@@Log_Pile Yeah, you know, I didn't realize that the mouse feet for the HSK Pro were on a flat bottom... I used the absolute shit out of mine for months last year and it just.. broke. Like the switches were clicking intermittently or double clicking or mouse would just stop working altogether until I gave it a good smack. Was wondering if mine was a dud or not so I got an hsk plus, and I thought having a solid shell would make it more durable since I do play *very* rough with my mice (low sens, OW2 on movement heroes, so lots of hard flicks and tracking). Nope, the hsk plus also suffered the same fate. The only one to really survive was my wired hsk, that does feel like it has a thicker and more durable shell. I hope to pick up a Pro Ace soon, and I'm hoping it doesn't end up having the same issues. While the mice were working, they were the best I'd ever used.

Hey 👋 I used either tiger ice dots, or the xray pad obsidian dots, but a good friend uses the HSK Plus core pad feet, they fit well on the HSK Pro too. Personally, I'd recommend tiger icer dots.
I just bought one and waiting for it to arrive, I’m hitscan main in overwatch at masters, I think this game is very unique and that’s why this mice may suit it perfect, what do you think?
I actually really like this mouse on my new vancer ice pad, which is definitely speed based. I also go lower and lower with my sens, given the speed I can use to get anywhere on the pad lol.
Great review! Love the idea of the mouse, I'd like to try it, but I'm not paying $200 for a tiny piece of plastic, I was expecting $30-$60 max. At this point you're just paying for the idea of it being small, the "niche", not the actual material, quality, etc., as it doesn't come anywhere close to the costs they're asking for. Completely understand retail markup from wholesale costs, all that is totally normal, but not by hundreds and thousands of precents in markup.
I think G Wolves are capitalising on the fact the only alternative is the M2K which costs even more! The M2k is 300 euro and the next revision is rumoured to cost 600+! madness isn't it. I'm sure it is worth it for some, but is a bit of a hard pill to swallow. I guess thats the peripheral market generally though at the moment, all costs mega bucks.
Hey Daemon, do whatever feels good, but in fingertip you would typically use your arm, wrist and fingers while aiming. As i said at the start, do what feels right for you, we're all different
Good video bro! 🎉 It happened to me just like you, the unconscious aim thing I thought it was me but when I went with the x2 it was more consistent. I will try the htx 😅 I hope you also bring a review of the Ec1, although I have always been a fingertip, I have read that claw or palm are more consistent, I hope you can bring a video regarding this since you have an Ec1😅 thanks for your great content and video !👍
Hey Samuride!! Yes I am very excited to do the EC1-CW review, which I bought to help me form opinions on mouse weight more generally for a diff video I'mworking on (EC1-CW is 80grams), the HTX is awesome dude, I think you'll enjoy it 😁 palm and claw are more consistent than ftip in my experience, but fingertip always gives me my high scores 🤪
@@Log_Pile Great review and I agree. This is the most fun mouse in my collection atm. It's like a sports-car. Very hard to control but capable of many things. Just not practical and consistent.
Hey Musr, i reduced my sens on the HSK to 51cm, i normally play on 42cm. You're right, I was more consistent on the lower sens, but I still lacked consistency compared to my performance with different mice. I guess this sort of experience will be different for everyone 🤷 Take care bro

@@Log_Pile thanks for letting me know bro
I just bought one and waiting for it to arrive, I’m hitscan main in overwatch at masters, I think this game is very unique and that’s why this mice may suit it perfect, what do you think?
Hey Fabian, I reckon you'll enjoy it 😁 did you go for the 4k or the ace?
Update? How was it
Are you a writer? This is really well written haha, thank you for your feedback!
You're very generous 😁 I'm not a writer but I put a lot of effort into the script for this video. Thank you for the acknowledgement
I actually really like this mouse on my new vancer ice pad, which is definitely speed based. I also go lower and lower with my sens, given the speed I can use to get anywhere on the pad lol.
its great to hear you're enjoying it and great strategy reference sensitivity:)
love your reviews
Thank you Halo 🤙 Great to see you in the comments bro 🫡
If the mouse had a bit more height that would help too (height and width). Also nice cat.
Thank you 😊
Helpful, thanks man!
Anytime Nathan 😁
I love some of the subtle jokes you make in this review xD
TY Tim 😊 Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Does the G-Wolves Hati in general work for ps5
Hey, I don't know if it's possible to use on a PS5, sorry!
Do i use more wrist than arm?
Hey Daemon, do whatever feels good, but in fingertip you would typically use your arm, wrist and fingers while aiming.
As i said at the start, do what feels right for you, we're all different
And now I'm subbed
@@mrstout5014 I appreciate you 🙏
How well can you 1-3-1 grip it?
I don't grip 1-3-1 Cryptiik, but I guess it's possible. Can't see why it wouldn't be?
Log content!!
Desdinova!!! 🤪
need it
save a buck and get the Ace!
im so torn between picking HSK Pro or BeastX gweojkngmewjokrgnh jkownhb
🤣🤣🤣 i feel ur pain
wider shell would be better
I think a lot of people would agree with you there George 🫡
I'll wait for a revision/new model. That power button and micro-usb port? No thx @_@
they'll release more this year 🫡
@@Log_Pile Nice 😎
11:00 no need to brag. Fingertip motion is enough for some😉
Hahaha 🤣 🫣🫣 🤔
SOON TM
I hope you enjoy it bro 🙏
@@Log_Pile Great review and I agree. This is the most fun mouse in my collection atm. It's like a sports-car. Very hard to control but capable of many things. Just not practical and consistent.
@Nicolai N Yes sir!! Was great to see you in the chat Nicolai, thanks for tuning in 🫡 I'm glad we agree and that you enjoyed the video 👍
Are you willing to sell it. I will take it off your hands
Hey 👋 I will keep this one as I still like to use it, but maybe one day when i get bored of it!
@@Log_Pile just let me know
Damn
🫡
Your inconsistency is probably due to your sense being to high.
Hey Musr, i reduced my sens on the HSK to 51cm, i normally play on 42cm.
You're right, I was more consistent on the lower sens, but I still lacked consistency compared to my performance with different mice.
I guess this sort of experience will be different for everyone 🤷
Take care bro
@@Log_Pile I see, seemed like it was the case from what you said in the video.
Everyone's different
Very well said LOG 🪵 👌 its a fun mouse just need to know the caveats that may come with its incredibly small shape. Always enjoy the humorous edits you slide in 😅
Thank you Lemonade! 🍋 I think my cats forgiven me now 😁 I enjoyed your comparison video yesterday - a good watch for those consodering the HSK series 👀
