In a 5 years period i bought many razor mouses, all of them end up bricked - 2 razor nagas, 2 deathadder, 2 basilisks, with keyboards i got more luck but thats not the topic. Back to the point. I watched review of superlight from logitech and i decide to give it a try in 2020. Its still there . I replaced only switches, all by myself - scroll work without any issues since i bought this mouse, same with battery. If something work like a charm, how could i find any better replacement?
This is actually the first review video I'm seeing someone talking about this scroll wheel issue. I've watched many reviews of the GPX2 and nobody mentioned it. So I bought one. Then I realized they all have this issue. So I'm returning mine.
@@toquita3d strongly recommend you buy the op1 8k if you can cope with using a wired mouse (you won't notice the wire after a while). Best mouse I've ever used.
Because consumers get complacent too. They became loyal to a brand that was once at the top of their game (MX510 looking at you) and just stick with what they know and trust, without looking any further and thinking twice about their decision feeding back into Logitechs behemoth wallet and market footprint. Until big retail giants start putting the equivalent or better alternatives that cost less on shelves across America, they will keep the sheep asleep... atleast for a little while. As the masses and intelligent gamers catch on, Rome will fall if they continue to rest on their laurels.
an updated mouse at that price point would need have a bracelet that senses the forearm nerves and translates that as mouse clicks. I need to patent this idea I guess.

Hi, I don't usually comment on reviews but this video created a very strong urge to do it, because it dichotomized me very strongly. It's the first video of yours I watched, and although I loved the detail of your review and the strong criticism against companies overpricing their products (LOVED it), I hated almost equally much the audio ques popping randomly throughout the entire of your video. This is just a nobody's media consumer's opinion, but I thought I should share it with you exactly because I loved your work, I would love to watch more of your videos, but those random acoustic screeches were neither humorous or entertaining and are keeping me from it. Cheers and keep it up
They "fixed" the Smartshift problem (the mouse scroll wheel is unbable to change from free spining to fixed ratched mode) in MX Master 3 by removing the hardware that actually does the switch. Now MX Masters 3S are stuck with no real ratched mode. A 3rd generation $100 mouse cannot do what his predecessord had.

As someone who used to do mouse reviews 20 years ago, I appreciate and respect this video! :D While I'm reminiscing, I thought I'd point out that there's a Steelpad 5L for $20,000(!) dollars on eBay. I really wish someone would make a video about the the Steelpad 5L to talk about how beloved it is by the people who bought one, how SteelSeries just hasn't made a mouse pad quite as nice since, and it'd just be nice to see a video about OG Steelpad products like that in general. I still have the Steelpad 3S, 4D, and 5L on hand. Unfortunately I had sold the SX and Icemat so I can't make the perfect SteelSeries mousepads video.
honestly the curve fall of at the end of the mouse is an improvement for aim. its bad to have your whole palm touching the mouse because you lose finger control doing that. any good mouse meant for gaming should not come to the back of your palm when you hold it, and you should really only have the tips of your fingers making contact with the mouse.
The scroll wheel thing is true. If they had improved the side buttons and the scroll wheel, it would be a very good mouse. Also, when I push the scroll wheel to the right, it also registers a middle mouse click, but not when I push it to the left. It kinda allows you to tilt it to the left which kinda bothers me.
I think all mice with mechanical encoders do that as they have a setup with the encoder to the left and the button to the right of the wheel, under the axle. So when pressing the wheel you are really making it slightly tilt to the right.
RAZER was for me always better, because the DeathAdder have for my hand the best shape. I'm an old school gamer in my 40's and I tried out nearly all famous mice, but always turned back to the Razer DeathAdder; often copied, never reached😊
That's where i'm at. Only mouse that i've used where I don't pick it up over and over again losing my grip on it. I straight up tried griptape on other mice and it didn't work either. Deathadder? Perfect for me.

Thanks for the review ❤
I noticed this downward spiral of Logitech's QC since my previous 3 mice (G102, G403W & G304) exhibiting scroll wheel issues and have stopped recommending their mouse and headsets to my friends since then. The only reason I still keep the 304 is the custom FF14 WHM vinyl wrap that I designed.
I don't understand how they can fuck up having almost a monopoly on quality mice across the board from office mice to gaming ones... They could fire their entire design and development teams, keep the production and just keep pumping out the same good mice that they've already made and everybody would be happy
I used my superlight 1 for about 2-3 years and noticed that my control with the mouse wasn't nearly as good as when i used my viper mini 3 years ago. So i decided to get a Pulsar X2H. The pulsar mouse IMO feels much nicer in terms of shape, and even felt a little more responsive (could be wrong). All i will say is do your research before you buy. don't get what all the "pros are using" because most of the time, they will have brand deals with that company. I bought my superlight for $220 CAD, and don't like it nearly as much as my pulsar mouse that i got for $100 CAD.
I was actually hoping something like this would come out... 4 years ago. The 703 is nice, but living in Cali means that the rubber sides would soak up the moisture and would wear down quickly. I would've bought this if only Razer didn't beat them to it first.
I got a few cheap 102/305s few years ago and on all of them the left switch broke in less than 2 years. Bought 5 razer viper minis instead and they have an optical left switch which doesn't break, but instead the wheel switch breaks within a few years. Literally can't win with these companies.
as a person who returned the superlight wireless mouse, only had one ever mouse not double click on me. logitech 3 button mouse, probably didn't use it long enough though (still have it, ps2 mouse lol). that being said, these companies make easy money suckering people to spend $150+ on a mouse. out of this world..
This has happened to me with 4 different G300s mice, but it's the only mouse on the market currently that can handle my extreme sweat issue due to its shape.
After using the Viper V3 Pro for a week, I was expecting more significant upgrades. The coating feels slippery, the side buttons are too soft, and the scroll wheel hasn't improved from previous Razer models. I recently switched to a DEX, but the feet are of low quality, and the scroll wheel is equally disappointing. It seems like Logitech has only focused on the design, not on the overall quality. Plus, the price is quite high. I'm considering ordering either the Stormbreaker MAX CF or the Maya X Fnatic Edition. Thanks for the honest review.
The scroll wheel button is also a driving factor for me moving away from superlights. Happened on the two that I owned, and I do a lot of 3d modelling software work which is heavy on mouse3 use- drove me up the wall and eventually swapped to the new viper v3 pro.
G703 superlight without the front flare out. Or a superlight 502, or I dunno. Anything that isn't a slightly modified Zowie or Razer mouse. Everyone is just releasing the same shapes over and over.
Same with keyboards. Sure the Hall effect switches are nice, and the software improvements are always welcome, but we've been playing on the same typewriter designs for decades now. Although to be fair, it seems most people aren't looking for anything new -- Nostromo derivatives (Tartarus and Azeron keypads) obviously don't sell well. I own the Tartarus Pro and I love it to bits.
I was stuck between buying wired or wireless. Going from the Sensei Ten to the OP1 has helped greatly from fatigue & dropping from 90g to 55g it basically feels wireless. I also bought an HE keyboard which has helped with my control a bit more & zero delay when I shoot because I use space as my primary fire to reduce even more fatigue from my aiming
Lmao, now I can imagine hall-effect analog mice - click lightly to shoot a regular projectile, click harder to fire off a missile. I'm surprised it hasn't been done honestly.
The side buttons look extremely far forward on the SL2 Dex. For palm grip/relaxed finger tip grip I'm genuinely wondering if my thumb will even reach one of them. The more time passes, the more I appreciate what Zowie have achieved with the EC2. The thumbgroove also looks intredibly intense compared to something like the EC2 or even the DA V3 which had a fairly big swoop out. For me a lot of these mice seem like they are laser focused on what works best for claw grip at the expense of their usability for palm. Even if my hands were massive and big enough to reach that furthest forward side button in a palm grip by then my finger would be flying off the end of the clicks no? This mouse looks neat, but I'm just not sure it's for me -- and the SL1 wheel and side buttons were mega crap which doesn't seem to have changed too much going off the reviews I'm seeing for the Dex.
I hear your comprehensive takes, I see you own a Xlite V3 so I must ask you... is there a chance for a ATK Z1 review? Especially in comparison to V3. I'm torn between these two for my first wireless purchase and I would like to hear opinion from someone more experienced in the space.
My problem isn't the scroll wheel click but the fact mine keeps jumping around when I try to scroll with it... First I though it might be dust collecting in the decoder but after taking the whole mouse apart and cleaning everything the problem still persists... I've bought the superlight twice now and both have developed this issue in less than a week!
I had a faulty superlight 1 and never bought logitech again. It was my first $150 mouse, which i still think is a lot of money for a mouse. So it really stung me when after couple of months it started failing. After it i bought a wired razer deathadder 3 and have had 0 complaints about that mouse.
I recommend finding a wireless mouse. Would you want your car to have a wire dangling off of it? Would you want to have a leash on as you run? The mouse is the most moved around peripheral. Why have a wire interfering constantly?
I use to be a logitrch fan. Last mouse i owned from them was the G305.solid mouse at the time but too small for me. Anything else started to get too expensive and made little sense for me to buy based on the point of diminishing returns.
WTF 88 grams is too heavy! And it's not that they've grown complacent, it's that ALL public companies transition to this point. First you build goodwill, then you sell lots of products, then you go public and get bigger. And the larger you get the more incentive to continue on continuing on course, and the less risks are willing to be taken. First companies care about their users, and then they always seem to transition to caring about their shareholders over everything.
I hate that logitech discontinued the g600. Its literally my favorite mmo mouse. Also they need to upgrade and give some attention to the mx vertical and mx ergo mice instead of rereleasing superlight mice.
the superlight 2's and dex's scrollwheel problem is an engineering fault with the actual switch mechanism they loosened the tolerance (for a smoother wheel feel ig) but didnt readjust the tolerance based on he tactility and activation lol creating a overly sensitive press because the wheel is loose with the contact
Tbh i had a G305 and i thought it was great. until the middle mouse button just flat out broke. I had a G400 before that and everything was good except that the cable was flimsy and broke after a few years. Ended up buying the cheapest gaming mouse with a decent sensor i could find and it's surprisingly outlasted my time with the G305.
Let me speak my truth here for a sec, I never owned an og superlight but I bought a superlight 2 ( I own two. Why I’ll tell u) I bought the black one first it felt amazing the potato was cool to me bc it could adapt to literally any hand grip style. My black unit had heavy clicks and I actually loved it. I bought a second unit bc the coating since day one felt slippery and it never got better. Butttt it was alright. When I got my white unit the coating was perfect and the switches were 50% lighter and I kinda was bummed out. I just got my SUPERLIGHT DEX, yesterday and I’ve been using it for only a day and I can tell u rn the dex is quite literally the real superlight2 like this the mouse that should’ve been named the successor in my opinion. It’s just a fully upgraded shape in my opinion. I’d go as far as to say even tho I like the superlight2 a lot it should’ve just been just a refresh with the marketing being new internals and not branded as a the 2nd one. But that’s just my opinion
Loved the G903 Wireless, but it developed a double click issue on the Right mouse button. Registers 2 clicks when pressed once. They sent me a G Pro Wireless as a replacement, and now that has a double click issue on the TINY rear thumb button. Will look into a different company for my next mouse. Good customer service, but for $179 CAD I shouldn't need it.
I haven't seen any good DAV3 Pro vs Dex comparisons. I would love to see one as the original Superlight and the DAV3 Pro are my favorite two mice and one that splits the gap interests me.
I used to believe in Logitech when they made a good peripheral with a competitive price. But now, I believe in VXE VGN since they are able to make a great mouse with a cheap price.
I just received my glass skates for my Superlight 2. Feels a little different and my aim in particular feels off, but I think that's because of the new feets. For information, I use a Logitech G840 XL and it's around a year old I think and doesnt't feel or even look new. And I know about the problem with Logitech mousepads wich loose their surface really quick. I'm about to buy new mousepad soon, maybe after christmas. But I'm not sure wich one to choose. I'm only sure, that it won't be a Logitech mousepad again. Three is enough xD
Actually, I love mouse friction as long as it's smooth and not sticky, and I use a cloth pad. However, as a budget conscious wired mouse user (the charging is not worth the effort anyway) I'm waiting for wired version. I just can't justify paying a ridiculous price for a disposable mouse that's also inconvenient. Too bad almost all lightweight mice are wireless. Also, are the mushy side buttons from fixed? G403's side buttons were perfect. The switches sound good. I've tried some Razer and other opticals in a store and they were trash, sticky as hell with a large gap between activation and deactivation force which made spamming cumbersome.
iunno if the viper v3 pro was a great comparison considering the majority of them shipped with a game breaking sensor issue that stops it from tracking when the mouse is set down. latest firmware fixes it, but the mouse still stutters occasionally when tracking. inexcusable for a 150 dollar mouse. but i do agree they made improvements to the coating, skates and that razer in general is trying to innovate more.
great Video as well; keep up the good work. My Opinion on this Mouse: I Just bought the dex 2 and compare it to my superlight 2 - Try it for about 2 days and sent it straight back; -I Had to Update everything G Software; Dongle etc. otherwise the mouse will not be found by my system... -at 8hz the battery Life is cut about 60% so i chose 1000hz Polling rate..... -Sidebuttons way to high - I can barely reach them -Sidebuttons feel like a Sponge.... -Im now used to the Standard Superlight design and the Dex is way to big and high for my Hands especially on the Palm area (Im 6 ft tall and have average hand size) Just my humble Opinion So Far... for 40 bucks I would keep the mouse just to play around with but for 170€... no thanks Sorry Logitech There has to be more than that... The day where Logitech would fall behind Razer, especially in QC.... I never EVER thought it possible, but alas...
Pulsar X3 is using Kailh opticals, not Raesha, it is in the announced spec sheet.
ur a spec sheetg
@@DiamondLobbyReviews Pulsar's booth and TechPowerUp's coverage of Pulsar at Gamescom 2024 and Pulsar_Ambroise support staff member confirms it to be using Kailh opticals.
is kailh optical as good as omron?
Ur still a spec sheet tho

As a old Razer fan i remember what bring me to not buy their product.
Can you make a video explaining how you fixed the scroll click issue?
I dont understand why ppl buy these defective products when they can get better quility mouse at similiar(or lower) price.
@@toquita3dbecause he is like the only one who is not just a fps centered reviewer
As the masses and intelligent gamers catch on, Rome will fall if they continue to rest on their laurels.
because atleast in my case, every alternative is 10x more expensive in my country
Mouse feet are fixable but the scroll wheel is a big mistake
an updated mouse at that price point would need have a bracelet that senses the forearm nerves and translates that as mouse clicks. I need to patent this idea I guess.
Ive also had two faulty super light 2's. Im going to give them one more try, with the DEX. If this does not workout, never again.
EDIT: After your review, I canceled the order. I will stick with my Viper V3 pro.
nothing will ever beat the prime mini $20 deal a few years back I guess, I hope it'll never die on me
POP OFF AND PING LIKE A M1 GARAND! That laugh healed my depression. Thank you for that.
Not me clicking on this video with the superlight 2
A 3rd generation $100 mouse cannot do what his predecessord had.
i gave up on logitech, their qualitry control and software is awful. I have switched to all razer gear and i am so much happier.
In 2020 I chose Razer Viper Ultimate over the G Pro, cuz it was on sale and I feel incredibly lucky for it
@@shapeshifter7676 Got one on discount around the same time, scroll wheel is loud on scroll up but it's the best mouse I've ever used. Love the sensor as well.
they must have had lots of unproductive meetings if it took several years
it took them several years to... make a different shape? 💀
HUGE ANIME BREASTS
Still running my g703 lightspeed, works like a charm. I really don't think there's honestly much of a need for any other mice
pulsar x3 would be a greate upgrade
As someone who used to do mouse reviews 20 years ago, I appreciate and respect this video! :D
While I'm reminiscing, I thought I'd point out that there's a Steelpad 5L for $20,000(!) dollars on eBay.
Awesome REVIEW! Love the presentation and how real you keep it. Subscribed!
honestly the curve fall of at the end of the mouse is an improvement for aim. its bad to have your whole palm touching the mouse because you lose finger control doing that. any good mouse meant for gaming should not come to the back of your palm when you hold it, and you should really only have the tips of your fingers making contact with the mouse.
I had this issue with not holding down the click on MX Anywhere 3S, but on the left button. Absolutely infuriating.
A lot of people also have a scrollwheel problem with dust getting in the sensor and screwing up scrolling. I get this a lot and it's driving me nuts
I really can't tell the difference of the mouses they put out last several years
I have the superlight 2 and just got the Dex the other day…after 30-40 minutes using the dex i had a pain in my palm and wrist…I think the back part of the mouse it to wide so when i swipe once to turn 180 degrees it feels like a weird movement/unstable aim… when i went back to the superlight 2 it felt so comfortable and natural..been playing cs go and now cs2 for many years and i have over 10k hours…i will stay with my superlight 2 and dex will have to go back.
Holy, I never noticed the superlight mouse wheel issue but I just tried it with my superlight 2 and it does the same. Crazy.
the middle mouse click portion got me crying man I've not bought logi in 4 years cus of all this shit
I was actually hoping something like this would come out... 4 years ago. The 703 is nice, but living in Cali means that the rubber sides would soak up the moisture and would wear down quickly. I would've bought this if only Razer didn't beat them to it first.
I love your editing lol
I have a G502x at work and I still somehow feel like I've been robbed by Logitech.
My GPX1 scroll wheel is dying, and I'm seriously considering the Maya X as well. Is there a difference between the normal one and fnatic edition?
@@crypix As far as I know, the only difference is the color, and the Fnatic one looks the best :)
@@koxx_hun Unfortunately it will look out of place on my black and white setup :p
same with my gpx2 i cannot grip it without it feeling slippery
I also bought an HE keyboard which has helped with my control a bit more & zero delay when I shoot because I use space as my primary fire to reduce even more fatigue from my aiming
thanks for the video! was a logitech fanboy growing up, but my lamzu thorn has been amazing
The scroll wheel problem? Sounds like rapid trigger, hall- effect scroll wheel.
Lmao, now I can imagine hall-effect analog mice - click lightly to shoot a regular projectile, click harder to fire off a missile. I'm surprised it hasn't been done honestly.
Hi, just wanted to say I enjoy your editing style and the jokes you use to get your points across. 🙂
Completely agree. How did you click the scroll-wheel click problem? Mine is progressively getting worse
All of my logitech has the double click issue. I start to have these issue right after warranty expire. As if it were planned. Sick of it.
I have a Superlight and I love it apart from micro usb and the scroll wheel. The form and feel is good,
Yano, I’ve had more problems with razor than the annoyance of Logitech not improving. Probably will stick with logi :/
"What is logitech doing" There I fixed it for you.
I hear your comprehensive takes, I see you own a Xlite V3 so I must ask you... is there a chance for a ATK Z1 review? Especially in comparison to V3.
I'm torn between these two for my first wireless purchase and I would like to hear opinion from someone more experienced in the space.
new comentry, new script and new drip. same old shiny head. loved it. give me more!!!!!
Good to know my random suggestion to Logitech about remaking an old mouse is up their alley. Sadly they didn't do it.
All my g305s and their replacements along with my friends' have the infamous double click issue, but reviews on amazon don't show it
Is it April?!?
I had a faulty superlight 1 and never bought logitech again. It was my first $150 mouse, which i still think is a lot of money for a mouse. So it really stung me when after couple of months it started failing. After it i bought a wired razer deathadder 3 and have had 0 complaints about that mouse.
I recommend finding a wireless mouse. Would you want your car to have a wire dangling off of it? Would you want to have a leash on as you run? The mouse is the most moved around peripheral. Why have a wire interfering constantly?
Fortunately, no problems with scroll wheel click on my superlight 2, but it is strange that they even have this issue at all
Logitech never really had a good relationship with scroll wheels
Old Logitech: "We are inspired to create products that fit comfortably at the palm of your hands."
Logitech now: "We have TeCHnOlOGY."
I hate that logitech discontinued the g600. Its literally my favorite mmo mouse. Also they need to upgrade and give some attention to the mx vertical and mx ergo mice instead of rereleasing superlight mice.
the superlight 2's and dex's scrollwheel problem is an engineering fault with the actual switch mechanism they loosened the tolerance (for a smoother wheel feel ig) but didnt readjust the tolerance based on he tactility and activation lol creating a overly sensitive press because the wheel is loose with the contact
this *problem* is a feature apparently since it exist on ALL of them
G502X is the best and last Logitech mouse I’ll ever get
I plan to get a second one as a spare
I stop spending money in mouse. I got a g403 and I just keep soldering new buttons when they failed.
Just got my DEX today. Side buttons a little too high up. Skates are terrible. Software and profiles makes 0 sense.
Three is enough xD
their quality control has been so crap lately - I bought two mice from them that wobbles🤦♂
My Opinion on this Mouse:
I Just bought the dex 2 and compare it to my superlight 2 - Try it for about 2 days and sent it straight back;
-I Had to Update everything G Software; Dongle etc. otherwise the mouse will not be found by my system...
-at 8hz the battery Life is cut about 60% so i chose 1000hz Polling rate.....
-Sidebuttons way to high - I can barely reach them
-Sidebuttons feel like a Sponge....
-Im now used to the Standard Superlight design and the Dex is way to big and high for my Hands especially on the Palm area
(Im 6 ft tall and have average hand size)
Just my humble Opinion So Far... for 40 bucks I would keep the mouse just to play around with but for 170€... no thanks
Sorry Logitech There has to be more than that...
Wish U all GL & Hf
I wish they make a G305 superlight. I've been using the Superlight 2 for almost a year now, but I keep coming back to the 305 coz of the shape, since I can't claw grip the superlight 2 comfortably.
$160 is rediculous. If your like me who wants a lightweight ergo mouse, the lamzu thorn, xlite v3, and dav3 hyperspeed are all way btter picks for around $100
2 G403s, 2 G203s had the scroll problem with me…Was looking foward for a G Pro X Superlight but oh man…what should I get instead??
Tkl rapid seems to be a step to the right direction
You don't need to reinvent the wheel. My MX518 still works well.
