If you checked before turning - you could have waited for two seconds and he'd have got out of the way. It seems to have got worse since the coof with old farts not caring at all about the long line of cars behind them. to me drink driving is a no no but I feel these drivers have the same type of "control" . I've even been behind some that stop when a car passes the other lane. Driving standards have dwindeld to such low levels recently its insane that some old farts are on the road
You get a lot of this in the Cotswolds where I live, great big cars doing 35-40mph on a 60mph road and when there's a straight they speed up to 59mph until the straight ends then they do 38mph again. They normally weave all over the road as well and the one's on the motorway normally slow down when overtaking anything and sit alongside HG's for 5 miles while they get to 60mph on the motorway. They sometimes just sit in the middle lane doing 50mph on the motorway for some reason too🤣🤣
They're endemic everywhere. Worse there is the grans driving 30 and slowing down with every little bend on sight. If you can't drive, just take the bus... We have a saying in Bulgaria " if you're afraid of bears , don't go in the forest "
Get a lot of it round Spalding on the A16, it's a 60 with average speed cameras so loads of people just do 40 which enrages people just trying to get about. I've seen some very bad head on crashes by people who just can't bear to do another mile at such a low speed and have just decided to create a new central lane with no warning. My wife thinks it's to do with fuel prices, people trying to drive slower and more economically because they can't really afford to drive any more.
Regardless of inability to see because of the rain that van driver in first clip caused that by moving lanes unnecessarily with no indication they were doing so 😡

so at 4:02 the Honda has all that room off the road where they could turn around, yet they still thought it was a good idea to reverse into a main road! and Harrison A is stupid enough to stop
Why do people always stop in really dangerous places after a collision. I get that you’ve just had a crash, but do you want another one? The car is still driving, go and drive off to the nearest safe place and then talk about it there. You already have the incident on camera

@@kayfj4903 thanks, I had no idea what van he was talking about. The start of the video was a while ago.
His excuse that he couldn't see? Fact eyes are better than any dashcam lens and if you can see the road/lane markings on the video then the van driver should without difficulty. Either windscreen is obscured by grime/oil or broken or he wasn't concentrating - I go with the latter.
2:13 The other car was already well committed and had almost completed their "manoeuvre" - Jethro was in the wrong.
Other car should’ve seen cam car coming and waited behind the give way lane. It’s a give way, not a well sod it and hope for the best
If you cannot clear the obstruction before oncoming vehicles with priority reach the obstruction then you give way.

1:17 Why is the red light runner waving his arms about as if to blame the moped rider for that collision?
Because if the cammer doesn’t submit their footage to the police or the injured party, he will look to try to get away with his infraction by blaming said injured party
I bet they saw the left filter light go green and assumed it was theirs and went, they are now assuming if they had green then moped went through a red.
@@BigDavie2000They still clearly had a red. If they went because the left filter lane changed to green they should hand in their licence (assuming they have one).
@@kayfj4903 I agree, I was explaining a reason why they might think the moped rider was to blame.
To be fair. We need a couple more seconds from the beginning of the clip. did he actually run a red? or was he just completing his right turn after the lights had turned red and the moped sped away from the green light (as we all know they do sometimes).

I hate these clips with these priority signs. Pretty much every single time the cammer is in the wrong just because they see a sign telling them they have priority and just barge on through, completely neglecting the fact that the sign doesn't apply when the oncoming car has committed to coming through an entire business day before Jethro got there.

Yeah, apart from the bloody great big SLOW sign, who could possibly have known!! - that road is a 50mph limit and I reckon she was doing at least that. I know this road well and if Karen does then she really should know better on that bend.
Could have easily been the end of traffic backed up to that point. Would Karen still have uploaded the video?

That police car probably got a call to an emergency. They don't *have* to put the blue lights on immediately, and there was no traffic approaching.
With weather like that put all your lights on, get in the inside lane doing 55 and stay there
no requirement for a police vehicle to use lights/sirens to use emergency powers - but increases risk to themselves and other road users which if there was a collision would certainly be used against them (not to mention if there was a red light camera in operation then there would be questions asked).
Should always use blue lights if they just got a call, esp. if at a red light.
They can turn them off once they're through, but it's illegal to go through a red light without them on in first place.
@nekotranslates incorrect, they can use their exemption whether the lights are on or not.
There are many, many reasons why they wouldn't have lights on and, in the clip, using that exemption doesn't cause anyone else to change direction or course.

1:43 Steve T - while he shouldn't have been overtaking there, you are supposed to check that a side turning is clear BEFORE you turn in to it, not turn blindly assuming it's clear and run straight in to pedestrians crossing, a Fire Engine, an old lady who's fallen in the road, roadworks or - as in this case - an idiot. If you checked before turning - you could have waited for two seconds and he'd have got out of the way. It's also VERY ironic that you cut the corner - you're both on the wrong side of the road when you have to brake. If you turned in correctly you'd have had time to spot him before you turned, but you used the wrong side of the road and met another idiot doing the same thing.
2:16 just let the GTR thru, he was already proceeding long before you got there
Bit of constructive criticism - the captions need to go. They are distracting and don’t add anything to the video. Personally I used to like watching and trying to spot what was happening/about to happen when you did them without.

Just throwing something out here as i guess most of you are drivers. how do you feel about the 40mph brigade? sitting behind them is not fun and it's even worse when your sat at a junction with the 16+ cars going past then old Gerald arrives with his queue from the right... If they drove like that on a driving test they would fail it.
They sometimes just sit in the middle lane doing 50mph on the motorway for some reason too🤣🤣
The "one speed wonders" are the worst. They do 40 EVERYWHERE...whether it's a 30 limit village or a straight open road in a 60 limit! 🤯

Why do people always stop in really dangerous places after a collision. I get that you’ve just had a crash, but do you want another one? The car is still driving, go and drive off to the nearest safe place and then talk about it there. You already have the incident on camera
